Why does my 5hp governor rocker-arm oscillate after warming
up? The spring has good integrity, and I added a teaspoon of fuel reviver; and I also tried cleaning the throttle mouth and intake filters but it vacillates between high and low idle until it dies. Wussup?
I am not gettinig down on you but I am only 25 and grew up in the industry. I thought I knew alot too. Tont let pride get in the way of what you could become.
I enjoy your confidence my friend but I am looking for technicians not for those with mechanical skills. I can and have trained monkeys to replace parts but I want to ask questions like what is the air idle speed adjustment set to on a Stihl ms460 or what are high and low rpm settings and not have them tell me "I just do it by ear"
This kind of attitude cost money and It is much wiser to admit you don't know and find out than think you can make it up and burn up equipment.

if you want a career with low pay and seasonal work where you get treated like crap because youre skills are a dime a dozen then take small engine repair...some of the shops in my area they would actually get mad at you for dropping off a resume cause we were 'bothering them" kinda humiliating actually...
