first off, that scream is a famous one among sound effect designers called "the Wilhelm scream". Often, they will put it in a movie as an inside joke/omage. It's been in well known movies like star wars and Indiana Jones. Secondly, BAMF stands for Bad A** Mother F'er.

Gimli was just talking about the Oliphant. I think what he ment was, that it doesn't matter how big the beast is. The kill still only counts as one. He wasn't talking about all the men that Legolas killed. Plus, i think in his heart he was impressed by seeing that big animal fall. Remember, he's a dwarf and for him the beast was even bigger!

He was in fact just a slightly below average height actor, and thanks to modern greenscreen technology, he could not see the ficticious animal at all.

For him, there was no beast. The best was post production.
