  • Take the good with the bad, if you can learn from it, use it, if you can not then ignore them. I do agree with one thing, Get out in the dirt and test your equipment. Your mental game is more important than what you have in your kit. think out side the box, and you can find things around the house, at the dollar store ,and elsewhere you can use. Keep on trucking, great video. Don't let anyone tell you that you can not go after a dream. you can do anything as long as you want to do it bad enough.

  • I own the largest wilderness survival school in Texas. With over 30 years of military and civilian experience I am what most would refer to as an "expert". Having said that, nice start. Now get "out in the dirt" and use that stuff. You are better off than most. And remember to have some fun, you must enjoy what you are doing. Good luck buddy!

  • Just posted my own first video's recently. Don't mind the trolls brother most of them wont even have posted any videos. I enjoyed the video. One thing I would add to the kit is a canteen/canteen cup set or a metal water bottle. Need a water container that can stand up to boiling water over a fire. Keep it up bro

  • lol thanks and just a note the new version is coming soon and that has some improvements

  • @bushcraftcadet thanks man and my new vid on my improved kit is coming out soon :)

  • I think you are off to a great start with this kit. Good job. Figure out what works for you and what you will really need and don't mind the idiots on here.

  • um can i just address the spelling issue, i have discraphia which means my hand writing and spelling are mucked up and movie maker dose not have spell check so although i enjoy your comments pleas back off on the spelling as that is not what this vid is about

  • Nice kit, I like the redundant knives. You should also have redundant fire making and maybe a better method of water gathering besides the small tin. I would like to see you go on a ONE nighter just using your PSK. Pratice and knowledge trumps gadgets in most cases and using your kit is the best way to find out what works for you. On your one nighter I would like to see..fire, shelter, water, food and prep for your rescue. Good kit, good vid (use voice) and I look forward to seeing more.

  • good vid mate, what about a sheet of plastic for shelter and a foil survival blanket.

  • But dude, spelin in krooshal for tru sirvivul scils. camEra, cOmpass, thermomEter, OPPOSED, energiZed, wHistle, sEwing, sharpEning, enJoyed. JK

  • well, the music is good.

  • Pretty good for a first vid! But I agree with some of the others,IMHO voiceover is always better that subs and music. Just my 2 cents.

  • use your voice isntead of a song please. feels more serious and more fun to watch

  • check out my other vids guys :D

  • thanks :D

  • Great start on a kit! Like the others have said, something for water like a plastic bag would be good. I do really suggest a Stainless Steel water bottle so you can boil water and cook in it if you really need too. And a large fixed blade knife will do you a lot of good. :D

  • its a very good minimalist bag...good job

  • oh and also look out for other vids

  • thank you guys so much!!! i will take in everything you guys say thanks!!!!!

  • I liked it. That pouch looks very durable. You need a container for water, even if it is a plastic zip lock bag, but a canteen/cup combination is best. Your camera work wasn't so bad, but you need to use 'spell check' a lot more often than you think. You probably had 15-20 badly misspelled words. A mis-spelled word is not a big deal. But to have so many, so badly mis-spelled words makes a bad effect on your presentation. I hope to see more videos from you! Good luck!

  • Nice kit,you can also use the tin to make charcloth.Keep up the good work.

  • not a bad start.. few suggestions.. you seem very focused on fire, not sure if you have ever checked out Dave Canterbury or not but he runs on an idea of 5 C's and it seems to be a great place to start for creating a pack. check it out! and next your choice of cutting tool, not to tell a guy what to carry but a suggestion, a fixed blade knife works really well if you need to baton through things where a folding knife can come apart. good start though! thanks for the viedo!

  • Great start just keep at it and add to it as you go.

  • Not a bad looking kit.. You might think about adding something to carry water in .. metal so you can cook in it too.. But it looks pretty good!
