  • I believe that in our inalienable rights, the ability to be happy should be the main thing considered when an insurace company considers electives. Be more personable with us than just numbering or catagorizing us.

  • Freedom let me take of myself, and let me not have to pay for someone else. Its called you dont help me i dont help you sounds fair, I mean i am not rich but I still think that rule should applies.

  • I believe that somebody who is healthy, nonsmoking, no bad habits, normal weight. Should be able to receive a deduction on my health insurance. Now for someone (my hubby is Type 1 diabetic and my son has a heart defect) this was not brought on by being overweight, or something that was caused by one's own choice. Also should not have a raise in their health insurance. As for people who do smoke, do bad habits, overweight by choice should not be able to have a deduction in their insurance.

  • healthcare4family

  • I feel very sorry for all people without health insurance who get a third rate health care in th U.S.. Health insurance is by no way linked to socialism. whoever claims that - gimme a break - you want to tell me that in one of the highest developed and richest country in the world with the most adavanced medical technology there should be no free or at least affordable treatment for citizens ?????

  • Unfortunately, there has to be stipulations and rules.. do I agree with everything that the insurance companies do? Of course not.. but if individuals could go around and have every single procedure covered.. where would that get us?

  • socialism sounds good on paper, but it does NOT work! Do you fellow Americans really want the government to mess up yet another thing by running our individual health care?!!

EVERY AMERICAN has "free" health care for what tha's worth. The Hospital CANNOT turn you away for a serious surgery. Sure, you may have to pay $5 a month on a million dollar bill for the remainder of your life, BUT we're ALL gonna die owing something to somebody.

"Free Health Care" does NOT exist.

  • @09Brant Stupid Americans they are afraid to call for social justice, because of fear of being called a socialist!Dumbed down brainwashed nation.Free health care exists in Sweden, Norway and even in countries like Italy. If all paid their taxes and the rich paid much more, you would have a better public education, health care, retirement and other social benefits. You prefer to starve under the bridge instead of asking for social justice, it is preferable to live this way, because socialism is near!

  • @mcamoran

"Free Health Care" or do you mean government run healthcare, where you're a number on a list? Bottom line, friend, it comes out of the workers pocket..bottom line.

I also have the right to NOT choose "public education", which I do. I also have the right to choose a doctor, not one I'm stuck with. I also have the right to see a doctor TODAY!

Nobody is "starving" sucker unless they choose to. Don't blindly believe e/thing you hear.

  • @09Brant Even in the socialistic countries like Sweden (you Americans confuse it with communism) you have the right to choose a private school, nobody forces you to go to to public schools. But unlike in USA the public schools of Northern are not so dumbed down like in the US. The same holds for the public health system, nobody forces you to use it, but by paying it a fellow man who lost his job will have the treatment he needs, this is called social justice!

  • @09Brant Nobody is "starving" sucker unless they choose to. Don't blindly believe e/thing you hear.

    No comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mcamoran ..continued..

EVERYONE IN AMERICA, including illegals HAVE "free" healthcare. Allow me to explain: If i chop off a limb and go to the ER, and have no insurance what do you think they are gonna do? Drop me off in an alley and risk getting sued beyond belief. No, they have to operate on me. True, I may get a 1 million dollar bill "ha, ha", I mean, that's the worse case scenario. But i would simply make monthly payments and as long as you do that they can't say squat. OR, we have ...

  • What are we as Americans to do? In Canada and England they pay higher taxes, so either way, it comes out of the workers paycheck. Also, we have better health care. So we pay for a better service, they pay for a slightly lesser one. They can cap out too from what I gather. 85 yrs old needs a surgery, and only so many are allowed for the year, or there is a 24 yr old who needs the same surgery what do they do? The grass is NOT greener, folks.

  • @09Brant True that BUT the social security will not check your past to tell you, oh man your health history doesn't allow us to secure you because you will cost us too much. And it costs much less, even Obama admitted it. The funny thing is that there exist people without even a home who live in tunnels in the most "advanced" nation(?) of the world, even in the Soviet Union before it collapsed it was perceived inhumane and barbaric for an organized society, a big part of the society to live

  • @mcamoran I have NO clue as to what propaganda you are following to post the second part of that to me? I can't respond because I believe it's all fabrications.

LOL,,,thank you for the laugh: "Obama admitted it..". Oh, so that makes it true?

  • @09Brant You are a victim of selfishness and propaganda of the "good" America the land of opportunities and this crap that you believe to be true. You are American, you don't know, Europe is far more advanced in social reforms and has gone much more deeper in how a developed society should be organized. You have a history of only few centuries.

  • @mcamoran Yeah, keep repeating what others have filled your head with. I'm a victim, lol? So Europe is far more advanced...bottom line, (1) your health care is far from "free", and you pay higher taxes for mediocre health care.

    (2) I pay lower taxes and get to choose what Health plan benefits my family and me, and pay for that plan. It ain't so bad, son.

  • @09Brant 44 million Americans are uninsured, so they chose it according to your way of thinking. Better to have a (as you believe it to be) a mediocre health system, than watching my neighbors die because they don't have their medicine! I didn't say that health care in European countries in free, of course you pay, but we have (regardless of right-left wing policies) a social state, where even the unsecured will take his/her medicine.

  • @mcamoran LOL, are you still pouting?

Friend, you need to get your facts straight and it's hard for me to do that in a box of 500 words.

Simple: You get a job, and they will offer you health care. Yes, right now there is a recession going on, so more people are out of work. And according to your statistics where do you get this 44 million and what are the demographics of such a numer? Inner city? Suburbs? Middle class neighborhoods? I don't agree w/ your numbers there.

    Oh, and for your...

  • @09Brant I told you, you are American, you haven't seen generations fight for social justice (French Revolution), the big world wars, Empires rise and fall, ideologies rise and fall, you are a nation(?) mixed up with many ethnicities immigrants from Europe, where egoism and selfishness is considered freedom, from the beginning you Americans had this cowboy ideology that you are proud to debate for!

  • @mcamoran ..continued..

what's called "charity care" where you apply for it and it cuts your bill drastically. Also, EVERY STATE in AMerica has there own income guidelines regarding the uninsured. For another example. In my home state, I was out of work for 8 months and I got state benefits: Hospital, Doctor, Prescription all 100%! My daughter made out a little better: She got all that I did PLUS dental. This is in every state.

You have no idea what you're saying, friend.

  • @mcamoran It doesn't matter what "you told me". My man, yes , we pay for health care, just like you do. but we pay for a better service, where we have more options, friend.

So then what is your argument? be a robot like in "1984" and have "Big Brother" take care of my hard earned money? No thanks. I can choose my own route.

  • @09Brant No you Americans are doing the opposite, you are searching for the Big Brother, TV nation. He doesn't search for you, you invented the facebook and all these stupid "social" activity pages.....you go there to give the details of your life for free, there is no such thing as "Big Brother is watching you", because you love to stare at him all day. Corporatocracy.

  • @09Brant Even in George Orwell's "1984",the main protagonist had the feeling that he is not free and fought to enlighten the people,I think that USA after the 50's has been transformed socially to what Huxley called"The Brave New World",panem et circenses with the majority of people enjoying very little. When you are ok, it doesn't mean that others around you are ok,you might take their place sometime. The slaves must love"Big Brother"in order to work for him without asking too much.

  • @mcamoran Yes, but at the end he submitted to being a number, he loved Big Brother. In America, it's still, (so far) the land of opportunity.

  • @09Brant For the Chinese it is, as far I read from the news they hold all your bonds. The communists will buy your property after all. All wise people avoid US (especially from EU), as David Bowie stated in a song "This is not America", it seems that we live the end of all all ideologies. As for 1984 he was forced to do it, but his spirit remained free, in the brave new world (written in 1931!) the slaves loved "Big Brother", Huxley wrote a letter to Orwell, saying that his nightmare will be

  • @mcamoran Possibly, but as long as there are people not afraid to stand up for their rights, it won't be anytime soon. So, whatever your point was to that? And by the way, if America goes down...the whole world will soon follow.

  • @09Brant The Western creed, maybe it will fall or suffer great loss, but there are other rising powers at the moment to take the gap. India, Russia, China I think will be the next super powers. Anyway let's end it here, because as you said in a 500 word box you can't exchange opinions and views.

  • @mcamoran True. You raise good points. But don't believe all the negative propaganda you read regarding the USA. I traveled Europe in '96 and I will say there was a lot of prejudices against my sister and I because we are Americans. I have opinions too, but suffice it to say..when that plane landed in NY airport and I walked out back home in the USA, I said, "God Bless America".

  • @09Brant Europeans are afraid of Americans I agree with you, but there have been countries where US has imposed and supported dictatorships, like in Greece for example 1967-1974 with dramatic and negative results. I studied in UCLA for 3 years and I know a few things about your country.

  • @mcamoran "afraid of"? I'm not sure about that. they may be prejudiced, as I have experienced, but not afriad from what I saw. God Bless you for studying at UCLA. A liberal university, but still one of the top in the country.

  • @09Brant It is a big mistake to confuse the people with the choices of their government, although governments are "democratically" elected by them. Arrogance though is the worst thing and this is why we are all ruled by people with the worst intentions. Reagan once characterized USSR as the empire of evil, could we actually back then believe that all Russians were evil? "Afraid of" goes to that when I meet or talk to an American all the bad that his/her government has done comes into my mind.

  • @09Brant transformed to the "Brave New World", remember that 1984 was written in 1941-3, ten years after Huxley's masterpiece, he described modern USA where corporations, TV Games , TV will run the show and educate the children. The problem is the US decease spreaded to the "western" countries via Hollywood. Orwell described the "Stalin terror", but his best book is and will be "Animal Farm".

  • @09Brant without homes and doctors.

If you sign up for the Care Choice plan at $99.95, then your monthly payments will always be locked in for you at that price.

  • i have no disagreement that we need some form of reform with how we go about getting health insurance.

i just dont believe universal healthcare is the answer to this, we need to fix the system we have NOW, not throw it out completely to adopt something that is completely different (and in my opinion not suited for the united states)

  • United Healthcare sux. They wouldn't pay for my jaw surgery!!

  • 3:13 clear sign that you have being brain washed

  • The health system in America is second only to Japan, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain and the rest of Europe. But at least it's better than Paraguay!

  • What a bitch

  • Example - possible broken ankle. Go to Walk-In clinic, see doctor, get x-ray, get diagnosis, get prescription filled, go home.... yes that was my visit to a doctor here in Canada and all that was done in less than 90 minutes!!!! Just swipe my card and that's all. Condemn it all you want, LOL, my co-pay is a tax of about $350/YEAR on my taxes....I like it...

  • @firebirdhome

-How long is the wait in this walk in clinic?

-How much taxes do you pay your government a year compared to us here in USA?

-You pay higher taxes, so your health care is not free. You pay for it and have no choice otherwise. We have freedom to choose without Big Brother holding our individual future in their hands to see fit when it's okay for me to get surgery.

-Also, I hear American jobs pay more (higher wages) an hour compared to Canada and UK.

    Just saying is all....

  • @09Brant - Hi 09 - Well of course it depends where/which/when clinic. In that incident the office was empty so I hobbled right in. Tax rates are like in the US which depends what income bracket you are in. We are taxed alot but health care is not a large part of it. My 'contribution' was only 1% of my taxes taken, so you are mistaken. Medical coverage for us is crib to grave. Your insurance companies are your Big Brother to accept you or even continue or not. The "min" wage in Canada is 10/hr

  • @firebirdhome

I have freedom to choose a plan that best suits my family. I don't have to take what Big Brother gives me and like it. I have freedom to choose, you mistake that as my insurance co being like a Big Brother, but obviously any company needs rules, governing, and regulations. I don't have to go on a waiting list and or have my future in their hands telling me when, where I can get a surgery.

Each state also has there own income guidlines for health care too. Thanks for the reply.

  • @09Brant

lol you also have the freedom of being denied by your insurance company and getting the run around for getting your medical bills paid. i love how people think our bankrupt system is somehow "freedom".

  • @jeAh7

lol, I'd rather have a choice than no choice which is similar to what they have. Also, I do have this "freedom" to choose my own health plan. A claim can't be "denied" if I choose one and stay within the policy procedure I'm supposed to.

Look, it sucks either way. As an American, there is NO reason why a health care system should not have been implemented decades ago. However, I have spoken to Canadians and British people alike who out-and-out told me, their health care sucks too?

    ?

  • @09Brant

A claim can very well be denied even if its" within" the policy because insurance companies hire people who specialize in finding reasons to deny a claim. And of course you've talked to Canadians and Brits who don't like their system. No system is perfect but many are far better than ours. Just look at where we rank in healthcare. We can pay for healthcare for every citizen but we rather spend that $ invading brown countries than on our own citizens.

  • @jeAh7

look, I completely agree that there is NO good reason why the USA does not have some type of health care system. But, I assure you...the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I mean would you up and quit a job, pack up the car; family and move to Canada because of their supposed "free" healthcare?

  • @09Brant I never said that Canada should be the system we model. And of course I'm not going to move to Canada. America is my home and I'd rather see it change than just move to another nation. Im just always amazed at how politicians (under the bidding of their corporate donors) can persuade the populace to NOT give them affordable healthcare. To blame the poor and working class for the country's financial ills. Its amazing how backwards we are.

  • @jeAh7 I agree 100%. Something MUST be done about Healthcare years ago. I heard, however that the Pharmecuetical (forgive y spelling) companies run the government anyway, soon the world. There is gonna be some serious stuff coming down in a few years. Serious, dangerous stuff.

  • @09Brant yeah they donate money to congressmen and other leaders which then persuades them to write legislation that makes it easier for the companies to extort patients for profit.

  • whatever you DUMB. BITCH. go to paskistan and get some healthcare. And you think it's bad now wait till Obama's done with his communist agenda.

  • I hate those medical insurance , you pay and pay and pay and at the end they rip you off anyway. in my plan I have to pay thousands of dollars every year and when I went to the doctor to do a few simple things i had to pay for every dollar too because the deductible ...this is just crazy ..makes no sense...ONLY IN AMERICA the richest country in the world and the worst medical sistem ....

  • Cant belive you guys live in a country where people say 'I dont care how sick you are you cant afford it'.... sick..... you guys are sick.

  • @BraniusBalki

Really? Where do they say that? Have you heard it personally or heresay? FYI, know-it-all: If you live in America and you fall ill, you go to the ER. They have to treat you! If they leave you to die, you'll have a nice law suit on your hands. Can't afford it? You apply for charity care. No waiting lists, no waiting a year and a half for surgery and your life in Big Brothers hands. Is that how you like to live. .".....sick...you guys are sick".

  • "Health insurance sucks" ... YET she loves her United Healthcare plan.

Beauty? yes. Brains? Not sure. Great video. A few intelligent people. A few morons. Majority, just semi informed.

  • shes stupid

  • It sucks because they are robber barons

  • Ordinary Americans sure do get fucked over, in Great Britain, we have universal Health Care paid for by general taxation, so everybody pays no opt outs, its more efficient, cost is spread out , no quibbles, no pre existing conditions, no co pay, no deductibles, I once thought about moving to USA but now I wouldn't, the big guys, insurance companies and govt crap on the ordinary people from high above, British National Health Service rocks !!

  • @vespaUK125 The shit you see and read about medical care in the USA evidently is crap......Everyone gets treated if there is something wrong with them....and they dont go into a doctors office or hospital and wait 2 days like under a socialized plan....according to the critics of the USA health care people should be laying in the streets...it is all propaganda nonsense....you can get treated easily and anywhere in the USA

  • @jmallton It's not the fact that they are not getting treated it is the fact that your insurance company denies everything, even tho we pay so much for it. Kids with Autism can't get any treatment because the ins company won't cover it. I'm in my 20's, went to college, had an excellent job, but lost my health insurance and 1 week in the hospital cost me almost $20,000 with NO SURGERY! I now have to file bankruptcy. In America that is crazy!

  • @NowThePeople Radical reform is needed mate, Insurance companies work for profit not your health, some of us in the UK is puzzuled as to why the is fierce opposition to universal Healthcare such as the tea Party movement etc, this is a benefit for ALL Americans, this is the one policy that should cross all party politics.

In the UK the NHS is a scared cow, no Politician will dare scrap it and go back to bad old days, they will be voted out.

  • @vespaUK125 Something needs to change, I 100% agree, and it needs to change now. We need more people in government that are NOT afraid to stand up to the people who oppose Health Care Reform. Greed is awful.

  • @jmallton sorry for the delay in replying, I have been busy, one thing I have learned trying to win an argument on the internet is like trying to win the special Olympics, no one cares, I will say this UK NHS do treat you immediately if its urgent, you can make appointment to go to a Dr, difference is that it will not cost your house +lifetime debt, there are problems like anywhere, it cost me £53 a week tax ($87), some of that is NHS,cheapest US health insurance AFAIK $27+£5,000 deductibles

  • further@jmalton then after $27 you pay your Federal, State tax maybe local tax, even then no treatment is guaranteed, the quote I got was based on perfect health age location etc, add pre existing conditions, old age, income, etc it gets more expensive.

I would extimate from ly total £53 tax, £20 ($33) of that goes to NHS fund, no preexisting conditions etc, I would say the Canadian model would work better for the USA than the UK NHS, due to population density, Tax revenue, British Society.

  • Go Michael Moore! Respect to the people who stand up against a corrupted government who control America through the medias. Your country maybe be the land of the free and home of the brave but you live in fear. Off course its not all but there needs to be improvements. A good thing that Bush is gone now your country should be improve . The rest of the world need the USA to become better. Peace out from Denmark...

  • People who conspire, solicit or aid and abet coercion should be arrested for doing such. That includes conspiring, soliciting or aiding and abetting criminal socialists.

  • this video is incorrect....it's not so much that the Health insurance in the USA sucks.......so much as it has become unaffordable even for middle income earners. If you have plenty of money you can buy top notch health insurance with little or no deductable. The key issue is "cost". Where as the insurance companies are "for profit" they have stock holders who expect to see profits. Those profits for stock holders will be directly reflected in the premiums

  • Everything should be Voluntary, the OPPOSITE of Socialism.

  • United States has universal health care. but only for the armed forces. My tax money on other words. i do not give a fak about the patriotism. i dont buy that crap. first and foremost. if i want to defend a country, I stay in my country but i do not leave it. invading is one thing and defending is another. dont get confused.

  • Sicko totally changed my view on health insurance......now I totally love my Canada's medicare.....didn't think they'd actually let people die for money.....Brain Tumour coverage denied...=/ America forbid.

  • Yeah, health insurance really massively sucks in the USA. I lost my health insurance two years ago, when my work hours were reduced. I begged and pleaded for them not to do that.

  • @Foxfire444 Well, short of some sort of health disaster, you're probably saving money in the long run.

  • @Foxfire444 yeah, that's the dirty little trick employers do to save money. Cut your hours just so they can fuck you over on the insurance. If a company did that to me I would make sure things did not go smoothly at work.....know what i mean? Use you imagination. What comes around goes around

  • I was born and raised in America, out healthcare SUCKS

  • it's true, but guess what? here in America nobody cares if we have the money... only the rich get the care, the poor or middle class take the beating.. scum bag dirty politics.

  • Not all of us HAVE THE MONEY for health insurance you know.

  • @SatansMullet then dont get hurt. fuck people that think hard working citizens should pay for their lazy, unemployed asses. you get injured with public health care, you will never be aided for at least a year. you will wait in line for at least 3-5 hours, you will get an x-ray, and most likely not get an MRI, etc. you will still pay for it in your taxes, and the more you make a year, the more you pay. you will also get the same benefits and treatment as a homeless crack addict. great, right?

  • @RESTxINxPIECEZ

You sterotype too much. Don't judge people unless you get to know them.

  • @pluto4847 its hard not to, most of the people that complain about shit like this work like maybe 7-8 hour shifts, and refuse to work weekends, etc. and yet complain as if its "their right" to have full health care.

  • You Americans are a disgrace to the bloody world. Of ALL people you should have had a National Health Service decades ago. You are a bent ass Nation of wackos.

You shout and and say to the World how GREAT you are?......pathetic.

I read that 6 MILLION children in the USA are without access to a doctor or ANY Health care at all!

Does that make you PROUD you daft USA people? Does that make you want to get out your ratty ass American Flag and wave it back and forth and sing "God Bless America"?

  • If you ever seen the Movie Sick0 by Micheal More u will know "Insurance" is an exploit against the American people

    watch?v=a7pCaK0aASE

Pre existing conditions are only covered if u been buying health insurance from birth!

A Doctor 6 years ago who left me with Cancer to exploit our Health Insurance. Out of pocket cost will go on your credit report & we lost our family van due to paying health insurance!

3 differt ways the private IRS banks exploit Health Insurance

    watch?v=kvKgx_jR26w

  • singapore healthcare rocks!!

  • people are always saying things like "public need over private greed", but the thing is the people in charge of providing for "public need" are as greedy as those in the private sector, trust me americans you might think society should provide for you but it just leads to an officious and inneficient government in your business all the time.

  • i live in the UK where the government and alot of people think they have some right to take the money of people who work so as to cure all the woes of society and it just dont work, the people who run our NHS are just as greedy as any healthcare ceo, the difference is they get our money unconditionally whether they are competent or not, with private, you choose if you want to pay for something and you choose the provider so there is competition and a motive for greedy people to provide a service

  • the US is supposed to be a free market country and you guys should stick to that, theres loads of nice countries with public healthcare and if americans want free healthcare you're free to go, imagine everyone all over the world who wants to go live in a free market country, what are they gonna do if america becomes just like everywhere else, its kind of killing the american dream. why do people just assume its ok to take other peoples produce from them to do what they think is right

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz

The problem with that is that the free market is not good for everything. Health care is one of them. Because of the fact that insurance companies exist t make a profit they make a profit in the health care field by denying claims and trying to insure people who are already healthy. Millions of Americans are uninsured and millions are underinsured. To hell with this free market bullshit. every american should be covered!

  • @jeAh7 if the whole area wasnt regulated up to fuck basically locking the market to any new competition then when companies got a reputation as being stingy nobody would go with them, and at the end of the day you can say what you want but you got no right to take other peoples wealth to fund things you think are good, what they do with it is for them to decide. ever made a voluntary tax payment?

  • If this country is really that terrible to live in, the solution is easy. MOVE!

  • You Americans are a Bloody Disgrace to the World. You should have had a National Health Service decades ago - now look what has happened.

I read the other day that 6 MILLION children in the USA have NO Health Insurance or access to a doctor!

Does that make you Yanks proud? Does that make you want to get out your Ratty Ass American flag and waving back and forth and sing "God Bless America".

You bent ass people. When will you wake up and see that your fellow citizens are suffering - Children!

  • @NolanRogers2

It does not make me proud. It needs reform. I wish the US healthcare system had an NHS like Britain. Do you think it will happen?

  • @pluto4847 Non-profit health care...in any form...will at some point get passed in this country...it''ll just take 50 million more Americans to become uninsured, another 10 million underinsured, and another 60,000 unnecessary deaths each year for this country to wake up and realize that on an economic level, as well as a MORAL level, for-profit insurance no longer makes any sense. We need to emulate either Canada or Germany's systems.

  • I'm with you. I am an America born and raised, and guess what? i went to get coverage and guess what? I got denied again pathetic. I was 37.00 under, but the money I deposit in my bank, and guess what? the 37.00 i was under they put it against me so now i'm denied for healthcare coverage.. so, basically i can't save money in a bank account they never want you to succeed, and if you pay out of pocket and are over weight you're denied or pay like 500.00 a month. pathetic.

    @pluto4847

  • @Boricua203813

I'm being serious here. For those of us without coverage, or with no good coverage (likle myself) want to team up together to share one another's healthcare costs.

    I am open to this.

I am very sympathetic to this situation. If the Elite does not want us to succeed, we can combine forces and work to help combine expenses on healthcare costs--If enough people do it, we can succeed at a very low price. What do you say, my friend?

  • Where do I start?

    @pluto4847

  • @Boricua203813

Add me to your friends list and we'll talk.

I was a world traveler. I've seen a lot of things.

I have some ideas for you.

    Ok?

  • @Boricua203813

I think I know where the problem lies.

  • what a stupid cunt

  • The best way to fix health insurance in the United States is to get rid of it. Insurance agents have no business making health care decisions and the only reason they do make health care decisions now is because the rich owners here hate the working class. They resent us because they need us and we are a constant reminder that the vast majority of the uber wealthy didn't earn a dime of their wealth.

It is easy to find a lot of health insurance companies online.

What is not easy is to find genuine health insurance company.

  • america is the richest country in the world, why cant they give health insurance to everyone? great britain is the 6th richest and they get free health insurance for everyone(but some operations you may have to pay for).

  • @sonaliano UK is starting to do away slowly with free/universal health care because it's too expensive and they have to ration care

  • WHOOOOOOOOOOO Glad i live in Canada.

  • Not a fan of this video. EVERYONE NEEDS HEALTH-CARE! IT'S A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILEGE! I've been very sick since February, and need to get some major tests done, and can't get it done, because I'm poor and have no insurance. I've been trying to get health care from the state, but it's taking FOREVER! I'm starting to get very SCARED!

  • @MatthewCuro1978

Sir, most hospitals have what is called charity care, you can apply for this.

As long as you're not a junkie or what not you shouldn't have a problem. The problem is insurance companies, NOT private physicans. Most are more than willing to cut you a break if you don't have health coverage. M. Moore likes to tell one side, one piece of a large puzzle, the guy likes a rigged game. Best of luck.

  • @MatthewCuro1978 Of course its a Privilege and not a right. The argument of "billions of dollars worth of medical equipment should somehow be free"? Is a bunch of crap. Show me one economic plan to pay for this With-out over-taxing. You cant. No one can.... Your thinking with your emotions and not your brain...

  • @MatthewCuro1978 and BTW I dont have any health insurance. But thats not society's fault. ITS MY OWN FAULT. AND NOONE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR MY SHIT. And in return I shouldn't have to pay for other peoples either... This is what you libs dont understand

  • Here in germany we have Health insurance since "Health Insurance Bill of 1883"

and it still works. Not even USA didnt stop it when they were in charge from 1945 to 1949 (Federal Republic of Germany was founded)

50% is payed by the employee and 50% by Employer. In Case of unemployment the state has to pay.

77% of the germans are statutory health insured and 23% private insured.

And it is still working and worked for more than 125 Years. And we have no socialism here, sorry. ;-)

  • @DrMison

we contribute to that here as well...I'm confused to what you mean?

  • @Mite0m Well i only saw some Videos from extreme guys in US fighting against HealthCare with arguments like "if this will come, Socialism will come to America"

after I came to this video.

  • Yeah, but I'm not so sure ObamaCare and Socialized medicine is really the answer. I believe that it goes much deeper here in the states. I know a girl in the UK and a gentleman in Canada and they don't really rave all that much about their health system. It's a complex problem with no easy solution. "Free" health care is a sham, there is no "free" health care. Pay now, (USA) or pay later (elsewhere), but in the end you're gonna pay.

  • Its a fact health care suck in the USA. 32 million people are without. If you loose your job, like millions are doing now during financial crisis, you are fucked. Hell, why you American's using your tax money on NASA, schools, roads..and more?

  • this brunette moron has clearly no idea what a health insurance is for. Too bad there´s no insurance against stupid reporters.

  • The only way to change health insurance is to boycott it.

If EVERYBODY cancels their health insurance policy, then and only then will health insurance companies listen to us.

Boycotting does work! Remember when gas prices were $5 / gal.? We stopped buying gas and it went down. O.K., so it took a recession to do it, but the result was the same.

So send a message to your health insurance company! Boycott! Stop paying your health insurance premiums!

    Power to the people!

  • People Need To Wake Up and Open There Eyes.

I'm Young But I'm Not As Stupid as Most of The Young and Some Older.

Because Everyone Is Like Yeah I Want Free Health Insurance!

WELL THATS GREAT SUSAN GIVE ME A $100 TO SUPPORT IT!

The $100 (tax) Is Not Supportng Just You But A Whole Nation Isn't That Great Susan.

    Yeah I'm Helping!

WELL SUSAN YOU DUMB BITCH Your Paying For Everyone That Means Even The People Who Don't Work That Are Freeloading On Your $100 (tax) You Gave Me.

  • Free Health Care Is Not Affordable I'd Rather Die Than To Have My Country Fall Into Poverty More.

I Mean Universal Health Care Makes The Area or Country its At Poor. Since You Need Taxes To Full That Void Because Med Supplies Aren't Free.

Sure Some Have Been Able To Do This, But We as Americans Can't. We Are To Greedy. Its Like That Story If You Give A Mouse A Cookie He's Gonna To Need Some Milk.

If You give Us Free Health Care We Will Need To Give Up Something Else To Support The Finances.

  • wow. these interviewees were actually intelligent...even the ones that don't have insurance.

  • People have a huge misconception on what insurance is and it's entitlements and an even bigger misconception with the term "Free Healthcare". Nothing is free unless doctors, nurses, surgeons and hospitals work for free which they don't, gov. can't provide free anything. It all gets paid for through taxes.

  • True. And yes we're taxed to death up here... but when I do my income tax, my 'share' for health tax when calculated by income is maybe $300. That's for a whole year! That is almost the exact same amount I had to pay in the 1980s when it was under old regulations. Covers a splinter to heart surgery. Swipe a card and hassle free sounds good. I've been in Canada my whole life and have yet to run into a single problem described in these comments.

  • So you're taxed to death and they get you for an additional $300 a year. You can't honestly believe your share is only $300since that is an additonal tax for Ontario citizens and doesn't have anything to do with your coverage. You're not counting all the levies and fees imposed on everything else. It's all pointless to me anyways, I would argue that it is unconstitutional to force citizens of the U.S into a contract as a prerequisite of living in America.

  • Nothing to do with my coverage? What didn't you read? Yes that is my share specifically labeled for health contribution. And we are covered regardless of age and health conditions, I find it acceptable. If I were unemployed and contributed NOTHING, I'd still be covered as a Canadian. You are wrong, this is not a prerequisite. You can go ahead and pay if you want, or buy some insurance, it'd be your headache nobody elses.

  • I thing you just made my point. The $300 is an ADDITIONAL TAX for some provinces. How can a system sustain itself if you have people receiving benefits and not contributing? By additional taxes! Also, there are options to get free or at least discounted or subsidized healthcare here already, and that IS a fact. I know alot of people that use them. Again, it's all pointless anyway and I'm not wrong, it's unconstitutional to force U.S. citizens to enter a contract or risk breaking the law.

  • @firebirdhome

Yes, interesting, but may I ask...isn't there a waiting list in Canada? You need say hip surgery, but a little boy needs one too. You're either gonna wait or be flown to the USA..so we can't be all that bad. I tell you stright up, you have a small piece of a large puzzle. Also there are more MRI machines in the state of New Jersey than the whole of Canada? As of right now, Big Brother is NOT involved in our health care.

  • yes, our healthcare system here in america is a piece of shit... i hate it... and our president is not even heading tword a public plan like we need.. damn insurance companies, privately owned have this country on lock.

  • Yes, because I suppose you think healthcare is a RIGHT, right? Everyone should get it regardless if they're lazy, money-sucking, welfare recipients popping out babies every nine months just to keep getting handouts from the government. Sadly, that handout is paid for by the hard-working taxpayer who actually contributes to society.

  • @networkingdefence1 How is he supposed to reform health care when the Republicans have vowed to repeal it?

  • great to be Norwegian !

  • Great to be a Canadian - $3.00 for a prescription..no matter what the cost :)

    Doctor visits,x-rays,lab work....all free

  • Free? Don't you pay it in the form of taxes?

  • Except a lot of Canadians come to the US of A to get big procedures done because they have to wait an astronomically long time for what would be a routine procedure here. Americans pretty much have it good here. In Canada you can't just walk into a hospital and get in to see the doctor right away. The triage has to make the determination whether you are ill or not just by looking at you. If they don't feel you are, your SOL!

  • That is a symptom you are describing. Being American, you probably aren't aware of the 'brain drain' that occurred in the 1990s where 25% of our doctors moved to the USA for "money". Also, with $5,000 sign ons, many nurses did as well, esp. border cities. I can see a doctor within 15 minutes at any clinic, swipe my card, xrays, visit, everything is covered. Some failings in our system? Perhaps. But if I bring my child in, I never have to do anything more than swipe her card and walk in

  • All Come Out In The Taxes My Friend.

As Well As I Hear Your Country Isn't Doing So Well Your Self.

Though Its Not As Bad as Use Not Being Able To Support Your Health Care For Very much Longer Sounds A Little Bit More Realistic.

  • My opinion: Take responsability for our own health! Take charge. Realize our Health care system is corrupt and go back to basics. Whole foods, more raw, get off our lazy buttocks and move. The only care I see needed is for Broken bones & emergencies..appendix bursting, etc. Heart surgery..come on, quit stopping at Mc Donalds!! Lay off the constipating cheese, quit eatting so much, CHEW YOUR FOOD! And Rest! Your body is the temple of God, treat it that way!!

  • Except for the Healthcare System being corrupt, I agree with the rest about eating right and taking care of your body.

  • Of all industrialized countries, only Amerikka denies the RIGHT to health care.

  • health more important than bloody WAR

    But America people think difference

  • Ehhhh things that should be covered are procedures that would help with someone's health...things like breast implants, botax, or sex changes should not be covered. It is not necessary and it wouldn't risk their life if they didn't have it or not

  • Elective abortions shouldn't be covered either, and neither should viagra.

  • i have good health insurance thank you, and nothing is FREE. the USA could definately use some changes here, however.

  • In Canada, my 'health tax' in my tax bracket works out to about $300 when I do my taxes. Being a resident of Ontario, I get an automatic credit of $5000. So truly, I pay nothing. Now be careful you Americans, Obama's health care plans are not like ours. It is stenched with deligation for the fittest, and don't forget the shadow produced when he is instigating "dying with dignity" counselling for all seniors!!! Be careful.

  • people moving to usa must realy love to die

  • Stop the fuckers of the private health insurances. We need coverage for all!! SUPPORT UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE!!

please check out my video: To hell with private health insurance.

  • @worldfreenow100 And you probably believe universal health care if free right? Wrong. All universal health insurance does it take money from the middle class and rich. It takes this money and essentially gives it to the poor and the rest of the middle class who doesn't have it.

Health insurance in completely obtainable if you're not an idiot. Just most people in America don't like to take responsibility for their finances.

  • @corpralj3 Of course health insurance is "completely obtainable" if money is no object. I'll bet you have been getting a group rate at work all your life. Are you aware that if you can't get on a group rate or your employer does not offer insurance you can easily pay $800. per month just for one person. Thats what my Blue cross cost me before I was able to get on my wifes plan at her new job.

  • @inkey2 Why should it be my responsiblity to ultimately pay for some bitch's health insurance who decided to have 2 - 5 kids?

The problem with America is that eveyone feels they have the right to have all these god damn kids even though they cannot afford their own priorities.

America needs to set their priorities straight and stop placing their irresponsibility on others who are.

If you cannot afford $800 a month in health insurance you should not be having children.

  • @corpralj3 ....(1) first of all.......the $800 per month I was paying was for me "alone"...and I have no children.

    (2) If "you" have health insurance, you are already paying for "some bitch with 5 kids" who is insured by your insurance co.. Your premiums already reflect all the costs incurred, "plus" the profit margin by our "for profit" health insurance companies

  • @worldfreenow100 The majortiy of those who would benefit off universal health insurance are the goons living off the system. In other words people who live off SSI, DSI, and Section 8 wellfare.

So now these people who abuse the system by living off the government want to get even more money for free, doing absolutely nothing for society other than flooding it with children who will grow up to do the same thing.

    What's next universal auto insurance?
