I don't know how to ad depth to my characters like that. My characters always feel 2D, they're only doing the things that the plot requires them to in order to move forward, usually with little motivation...

I may need to seek help with this.

Thanks for talking sense into me. I can't just write two sentences a day--that doesn't get me very far. 1,000 words a day seems like a really sensible thing.
