  • PERFECCT <3

  • Steven Wilson is a national treasure with no musical equal. Everything he touches turns to pure gold. I wish I'd discovered PT, No-Man, Blackfield, his solo work et al years ago. Seriously, the poor f*ckers who stick to what's fed them via radio and tv are missing out on the work of a real genius. And d'you what, I don't give a f*ck because I and my loved ones have found him and that's all that matters to me. Steven, we love you.

  • wow

  • Steven wilson is like a cowbell, he makes everything better

  • Yes he's genius, he's a god, and a damned inspired by heaven on his compositions, but.... he is gay too! haha

  • Noword or actions can describe this song.

  • I love Tim Bowness's voice, it's unbelievably perfect and clear as well as an incredibly range without going into falsetto. I just wish he wasn't so stoic, it kind of ruins it for me.

EITHER WAY, I worship Steven Wilson and he only works with musical genius's and Tim Bowness has a voice like I've never heard before. I love it. <3

PLUS if it wasn't for No-Man, Porcupine Tree wouldn't have had as much of a launch pad!

  • @aceenigmax I really like this band, but tim bowness i cant stand, it ruins this band for me, idk why i just dont like his voice, and what?? incredible range? his voice rarely goes anywhere, it preaty much stays within a small range in every single no-man song. his voice is very smooth, but once again, idk i just really dont like it.

  • Funny Lantern...what you find boring, I find incredibly beautiful and emotional. I love this band, and love it the most of all of Wilson's projects (and I love them all so far).

  • i think i would like this alot if it wernt for that singer, he just has the most boring singing voice ive ever heared haha, just my oppinion, but idk eveytime i listen to one of there songs im like"yeah this is really cool" but then when he starts singing "sighh, yep same ol same ol" got to love SW though haha

  • Brilliant! Just Brilliant!

Very Very under rated & unplayed (on any radio station)

Thank god for youtube & lastfm etc :-)

Listen to 'Heaven taste' - Classic!

  • Porcupine tree and Blackfield over here in April - same gigsl.

Manchester Academy and Shepherds Bush London at least.

    Two for one!.

  • Do Steven Wilson preform any vocals with No-man? in any song?

  • @PaXx He does harmony vocals sometimes I'm pretty sure I can hear him on "All The Sweet Things" for example.

  • Tim is friends wiv my uncle!!

  • wonder - full

  • Is it Steven playing the flute? I sure hear a lot of that kind of flute playing in his music.

  • @legendofzelda101 From what I know, Steven does play the flute. It's ever present in his music, in the 90s and the 00s

  • anybody else think no-man > porcupine tree?

  • @Kinshasa9200 yeah, I agree

  • @Kinshasa9200 What? fuck off

  • @Kinshasa9200 I like No-Man but Porcupine Tree is my favorite band. So I have to disagree with you on this one man.

  • @Kinshasa9200 I like both for different reasons. Besides it being only an opinion, I don't think it's really fair to say one is better than the other.

  • guys guys im big fan of steven but let`s not foget about the facts that steven surrounded by great musicians

  • Everyone writing how great Steven Wilson is, yeah I know it, but don't forget talented and gifted Tim Bowness.

  • Steven Wilson is music, Steven Wilson is art, Steven Wilson is an unique genius

  • Steven Wilson is so talented...

  • Just in case anyone here doesn't know, this band inspired an Italian group called Nosound. If you like this, check them out.

  • @Misterb0z I know them and they're great!

  • I know SW is a genius, but, I just don't understand why you people have to talk about it again and again on every youtube video related to SW.

  • Steven Wilsom é o cara !

  • Who's the three fuckfaces who disliked this?

  • If you people Love this Wonderful song and the album Schoolyard Ghosts you Must listen to Together We`re Stranger, Pure bliss and surely the greatest ever break up album.

Tim Bowness + Steven Wilson = The Best! :-)

  • such a chill ass song.

i'm in love with it :)

  • I don't like so much Steven Wilson, but last times i began to know it better with no-man and blackfield !

This song is real cool !!

  • Beautiful...

  • Steven Wilson is the best

  • Wilson you are a freaking Genius!

Thank you so much for making music.

  • Touching! Tim voice has a very special and emotive expression, and no question about Steven Wilson's composing squills. One of my fav bands now!

    Greetings from Honduras, Central America.

  • pinche flako es un genio

  • Fantastic, i love it, brilliant !!!!

  • I discovered Porcupine tree about a year ago, they get very little if any airtime on the radio here in Australia, and now i have found No Man, and Blackfield. Steven Wilson is blessed, he is up there with Roger Waters. I'm 60 this year, Steven transcends all boundary's, he is a rare talent. Steven, thank you

  • @wooly1950 PT gets no airtime over where I live in the united states. I only have about 2 good channels for music and neither one plays very progressive stuff. So if you ever get any PT on your radio I will admit i am insanely jealous of you.

  • Does anyone else hear a high pitched whine everytime he sings during the verse from around 2:34-2:58?

It only comes on when he sings.

  • 4:15 too...

  • Is this sound on the CD?

  • Yes.

The original one is nearly 13 minutes long, but you can find these parts.

  • @ConcreteTheSecond

    Oh, that's lame..........meh, I'll still get it.

I love everything I've heard off this album.

  • Yeah that's annoying. There's the same issue on PT's In Absentia.

  • What an absolute wonderful video!

  • Siiiii esta canción esta bien chingona, me gusta, me gusta ^_^ !

  • mega sztos

  • chin simplemente magnifica, no puedo decir mas....

  • yes very amazing it´s band is great

  • What a brilliant, gorgeous song. Masterpiece # 1,384 from Steven Wilson.

  • i hate edits, the 12 minute version is way too epic to be cut into 1/3 :(

  • @TheDBelanger Yes, although Time Flies is actually better in the edit! *imo*

  • @SlaveExplosion

Really? I think that time flies is way better as the full, the trippy instrumental section is great in my opinion.

  • Yeah I dunno, I think it's a bit, out of place I dunno. It sounded too much like what I've heard before, everytime that section plays I just think of The Sky Moves Sideways, and wish I was listening to that instead :P I preferred the flow of the edit. Still a great song either way though.

  • Oh no, is there really a radio edit of this?

The beginning is this version is around 4:00 in the original version :s

The 12-minute version on the album is so absolutely great...

  • Lovely!!

  • All no-man albums are great, some off em' are a bit acid for my taste like Wild Opera.

I think that the Voice of Bowness found his home, his place to be, his perfect spot, with the music on albums like Flowermouth and Schoolyard Ghosts, specially, in Schoolyard Ghosts...

  • It seems that every musical project Steven Wilson gets into is going to be a masterpiece. It seems that he has the ability to gather precisely the right people to transpose his dreams and projects into reality. And, of course, Tim Bowness voice is mesmerizing. I consider No-Man as true art, not just music.

  • the full albm version has to be heard if you like this, the full 12min version, really good!

  • The melodies and progressions are great. It's the voice I'm having a hard time with.

  • i live in australia so sadly much of steve's music isn't sold here :(

  • tell me what you want and i'll send it to you in mp3 format. :)

  • Nice!

  • @boneheded Disgusting

  • Get it off of Amazon. :)

  • steven wilson es mi heroe

  • Steven Wilson is amazing. He's been my favorite musician for a long time. Sometimes it seems like he reads my personality and makes my kind of music. Keep it up, Porcupine Tree! :D

  • There seems to be no end to his creativity. Another great team.

  • i like the flute

  • Holy shit, watching this music video completely changes the meaning of the song...That's so sad...

  • what do you think this song means?

  • is this the official video for this song, or did someone make it?

  • I'm pretty sure it's official.

  • Steven Wilson Genius of Genius

  • He definitely is!!!!

  • @arpape2000 Steven Wilson is not a genius... HE'S A FUCKING GOD!

  • The full 12 minute version is orgasmic.

  • hi !!

COuld you please tell me where can I find it?

    Thanks ^__^

  • ....on the album?

  • hermoso, demasido lindo esque quede sin palabras

  • ¡Qué cosa más bonita, Dios!

  • i am in this video=]

    i am edward=]

the girl in the video is pete morgans daughter wearing her mums wedding dress and the little kid is their neighbour

  • lol, if is true .. them .. great work :D

  • S'all true - that's me on the beach.

  • Where's Roger?

    No man is Roger Miller.

  • i just bought the album off Amazon

  • Geez! Its amazing, like everything Steven Wilson does :)

But I can´t find these songs, anywhere! Neither the album...

  • I think you have to buy it at 'burning shed'. i don't know the exact URL but try searching it in google.

  • If your talking about the cd, just bought it for $8 on ebay

  • Id luv to get my hands on this album..and i will

  • love the jazz flute

  • I mean, it isn't the same girl as in the PT video.

  • waaa, gonna see them the day after tomorrowXD

  • see you there at the boerderij!!!

  • What's with the band playing the song? Who are they?

  • no-man is a long-standing collaboration between Tim Bowness (vocals, lyrics) and Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree, responsible for most of the music).

  • Nooo, I mean the band in the video. There's four guys, and I'm pretty sure neither of them are Tim or Steven Wilson.

  • They could just be acting as No-man back in the day, before it was just Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness?

  • Is the girl in the wedding dress the same EMO girl as appears on PT's "Way Out Of Here" video?

  • it appears to be. i wouldnt doubt it

  • No, it isn't her. It's a different girl.

  • lol your funny, and I do get way, lets see if they can figure it out

  • darn meant to type why not way

  • I'm not sure you're right about all the other members of PT being as important as Wilson. They all have style, I will give you that, but Wilson is the SONGWRITER... Just saying.

Oh, and especially not Wesley, he's just for live performances, to do the guitars/backing vocals that Wilson overdubs in the studio.

  • He added a lot to We Lost The Skyline (Wesley that is)

  • Amazing... Seeing them in London in August I think!

  • Haha, if you bought anything from the merchandise stall you probably saw me!

  • One of the sweetest songs of no-man. Tim, you have the voice of desire. Love you!

  • got admit im more of a PT and Blackfield fan, ive seen em both live, but im deffiantly getting a ticket when no man start touring again, there just so awesome. together were stranger just rules, and i got to say fear of a blank planet has the same kinda arty sadness that no man fans crave so steve... your fucking amazing.

  • Beautiful album but Returning Jesus is the best. I would love to make a video for No-Man one day.

  • good on ya! Cheers. Damian

  • On reflection I think I was a little bit misinformed. After a session of PT I can agree with you but It remains a matter of taste and for me, N-M have that nostalgic arty sadness I desire. What the hell, they are all great!

  • no actually we'll just leave it at jeb.

  • At 2:37, I'd really like to do the guy on the right

  • jonny collin is a complete jeb

  • Wow!

Another Steven Wilson's jewel! And what a beautiful video... There's something of "The Piano" from Jane Campion, isn'it?... JB

  • always loved them both and the fact that they r in closest collaboration with king crimson only feeded that feeling.

  • Tim has the most beautiful voice...

  • Truenorth begin like "Animal Ghost"(Flowemouth) and ended similar to "Lazarus" :)))

  • Steven please- lesss violins and orchestra on this album!!!.It`ll kill all your best concept.

  • Come on, wheres your sense of art. Take away the orchestrations and you take away the soul of No-Man. Stick with Porcupine tree if you want commercial. No-Man is not just Steve, its Tim & Steve and that = audiobeauty.

  • Looks like we ARE seeing a reinvented no-man

  • Thank goodness they're back.

    Best of luck boys!

    PLEASE come to NYC!

  • It's so beautiful, I'm speechless.

  • Great track and beautiful video.
