I am a middle aged black american christian that really enjoy hindi films. This one reminds me of the civil rights struggle in america. My blood boiled at the caste system, this movie gave me clearer understanding of what that means in India, reminding me of my childhood, yes is does remind me of mississippi burning but it could not have been made if the issue wasn't there. Seems to be a copy of a Hollywood movie, based on a true story that took place in Mississippi. The Shool Sena is a parallel to the KKK and so many other little details remain you of the Hollywood true story! Even so, this was a good Indian version.

Many films deal with SAME theme, but diff plots and screenplays.If Hollywood makes a film based on an ISSUE; people tend to feel that Hollywood owns the 'patent' over that 'issue'; & any further films(esp Asian films) based on it ;are inspired by that particular Hollywood film.
Both films take on 'Honor Killings';but on completely diff notes.Aakrosh is based on real incidents that happened in Uttar Pradesh.Where does 'MB' portray the UP incidents.

Very immature, poor and unhealthy mentality. Some Indians do judge people based on their castes but India doesn't. India recognizes the divisions of the society based on their profession (which are the 4 castes, they are basically your intellectual level not genetic or hereditary). @poser077 well heres the misconception that most ppl that are getting screwed by the US because of their own wrongdoings have, that US is somehow paying us to shut up. why i would India not be with the US, thikn abt it, theres no reason not to be. why would india support pakistan? a country that has done nothing but let terrorism run rampant and hasnt lived and hasnt let india live. and how can u tell me that the ppl that die in pakistan arent muslim when the country's population is 97% muslims
