  • tsetsoignatov, this is a first-class stunning rainbow tank you have. Just awesome! Wow, let me congratulate you on this fine establishment. I just recently got some rainbows, and love them. They are gorgeous fish. I will be moving them to a bigger tank soon so they have more room. About how long does it take them to reach full mature size, if I may ask? Thank you for posting this, very magnificent and well done.

  • It takes about 2 years to get full mature size

dynamicwolf .Longer then other fish but once they grow up you see they are fantastic.

    Take care!

    Tsetso

  • Thank you for the feedback! Yes, indeed they are brilliant fish.

  • If you see some of my later clips ypu will see what I mean

  • Felicitaciones, sencillamente expectacular ... yo tengu un acuario pequeño con arcoiris, algùn dia me gustarìa tener uno como el tuyo.

  • this is great lol my name is Rainbow

    thank you 4 sharing x

  • nice plants can u give us an update so we can see how ur plants have grown :D

  • Great Rainbow Tank!

Im thinking about getting 2 boesmani rainbows to finish off my tank. Do you think they would get on with my fish and setup? Its LFCWALSH22 then my aquarium.

  • LFCWalsh22 yor tank is crowded already.Boesemany are shool fish.If you want to take them it's good to have 6 of them.Yes they will live there but they will not be happy and they will not show all the colors and natural behaviour. But the choice is yours.

    Good luck!Tsetso

  • Great video!

A big fat Empire Gudgeon goes great in a Rainbow tank.

  • About 8-12$for young fish.

  • They are gorgeoussssss!

    Are they expensive?

  • Colorful tank!

  • Lake Tebera Rainbowfish has gotta be one of the best looking rainbows. About the salt it depends what rainbows you got, i can understand for new guinea rainbows (becuase thier conditions are usually more alakaline)but i dont see why for aussie rainbows. blue eyes are a different matter though ;) !!

  • Gorgeous fish and tank!

  • You dont have to put salt in your tank, but its reccomended that you do.

It protects their slime coat (making it thicker), so you will get nice rainbows!

  • Salt is recommended, 1 tbl spoon pr 5 gal. Its a natural tonic and stress reliever that helps keep a thicker slime coat- which is what actually protects the fish from getting sick. Although Rainbows don't like TOO much salt a little is fine, also plants don't like too much salt either. I would just do 1/2 the rec. dose.

  • Oo come on!I have Rainbows feom years and never put salt in my tank.

  • I love the veriety of colors among your rainbows!

  • Your lucky you have al those the only ones i find are tha boamani (for short lol) and the aussie one

  • WOW! My dream aquarium

  • u can put salt into a freshwater tank....it is actually beneficial for fish... especially fish suffering from any kind of illness. assist with osmosis... altho, u HAVE to use aquarium salt, or any other suitable kinds. not table salt. and also in small amounts of course.

  • No problem Roan! You always welcome

  • Huh, sorry, tsetso, that comment about salt was not aimed at you. I should have replied to the other guy's comment.

    Nice tank as usual :D

  • You need to change out at least 50% of the water weekly for all rainbowfish. Yes, boesemani are more inclined to thread and columnaris.

Do NOT put salt -- any kind of salt -- in a freshwater tank. They're fish, not pickles, and they certainly are not marine fish.

  • no you dont and salt can help cure disease

  • Hi!I am realy sorry for your Rainbows.Fortionatly I was always lycki with my fish and never hade disease and I am noe shure what to say.

manoobe this red, green, bly fish is Melanotaenia trifasciata.

  • nice big tank mate, nice rainbows! what is that rainbowfish around the 20 second mark? he is beautiful

I did recommend aquarium salt , but i'm not sure if that's good for your plants!

  • Super nice collections you have there!! I'm a beginner for bosemani rainbow. However, at the moment, all 4 of my rainbow are having the mouth fungus disease (but other fish are perfectly fine) I wonder if bosemani rainbow is particularly susceptible to this disease...any advice? One just died two days ago...sniff sniff...:(

  • Hallo.The size is 180/60/50/cm.

    In there I have:

    Glossolepis incisus,Melanotaenia boesemani,Melanotaenia lacustris,Melanotaenia parkinsoni,Melanotaenia splendida splendida,

  • Nice collection. What size is the tank and what are all the types you have there?
