  • These are leading questions!!

  • I HATE WHEN BLACKS CALL THEMSELVES A NATIONALITY when we were in America hundreds of years...we are an ETHNIC AMERICAN GROUP. period---the kids are cute though-------they're too young to know this stuff, they're not in Junior High or High School yet when you have to form a clique

  • Yeah nationality has nothing to do with race. For example I`m Finnish and European or "white". Allthough that "white" is little questionable, because Finns are historically partly asian people. Someone can be for example black and have Finnish nationality.

  • lol, how would these kids have known that their life is "harder"? Compared to white, black kids? Everyone has something bad in their life. I personally don't see why anyone would hate your kids.

I doubt they've witnessed racism and knew what it was. Not that they should have had to.

    They're cute kids, btw.

The "do you think your life is harder" quest. is something you'd ask a 14 yr old maybe.

  • all of them of soooo cute

  • they say that soon everyone will be mixed, if that's true then maybe one day you will be asking pure breeds these questions. 'what's it like to be black? what's it like to be white? lol on a serious note, i don't think that mixed people suffer any more than black or white people. it really depends on where you live and your environment. Whether you are black, white or mixed, everyone has a story they could tell about how their race has affected their life. you just have to love yourself

  • Just some information, "nationality" is an affiliation to a country or nation it is NOT a racial identity. For example, if these children were born in America, their nationality would be American, if they were born in Ghana for example, their nationality would be Ghanian, if they were born in Puerto Rico their nationality would be Puerto RIcan etc. etc.

  • @lalatyty07 In addition there are people of the same "nationality" in that they have an affiliation to a particular country but they are of different races.

  • @lalatyty07 Yes, I realize that. lol It's already been covered in the comments several times. This was kind of an impromptu thing and the word I was actually looking for was "ethnicity" but luckily, the use of either of those words doesn't affect the general point of the video :)

  • Nice!!! :-D

Its the same stuff my mum and dad taught me!! It's vital that they see and they understand that they are both otherwise children may grow into identity problems. I'm 24 now and I'm mixed-race (black & white) I am studying and learning and growing every day. I have never been excluded from anything or treated bad and always had a bunch of friends. I thank my parents every day for helping me shape into the happy and successful young woman that I am. DO U'R THING LUV!!!!! :-D

  • OMG! They are soooo prescious!!! I want a little boy just like that. I don't really want kids like that, I enjoy my single life. But if I do, I want a boy. That little boy just made me wanna have freaking kids. Thanks alot little adorable boy, thanks alot

  • The little boy is cute...snapping his fingers trying to remember. The little one is adorable to.

  • These questions are leading and not age-appropriate.

  • Cains Caucasian biracial White seed babies will NEVER destory our BLACK Gods BLACK Seed babies.

  • @july95211 That makes no sense.

  • Black/White kids tend to be so beautiful!

  • awww look at the lil 1 in the background look'n like why didnt they ask me a question lol they are all cute

  • awsome :)

  • Im so glad im not american, in europe this isnt even an issue, why do people in the states obsess over race so much... I had to stay in NY for like a week... I'm black/white/asian and omg RANDOM people were asking me questions as if im some kind of freak

  • @mcdermott1989

hum, well not in England. But on the continent it looks different in some southern European countries. France gives u a funky vibe in some areas.

But u'r definitely right about England. I just love being there cuz people don't give a shhh. biracial is a weird word too. Mixed-race sounds much more appropriate and I suppose its also closer to the truth in most cases, U'r from GB right? Greets from the continent :-P

  • @sianishark yeah im in greenwich london so its really mixed, i cant believe there's all these videos on youtube etc and people talk so much about it.. it's just a normal thing where i'm from really lol

  • @mcdermott1989

Part of my family is from Bristol. Same thing there. ;-)

At the moment I'm in the Netherlands! To people here it it's not an issue either. as a matter of fact. I don't think they have a problem with anything. Their kinda like " live and let live". I like it here. However, they are really obsessed with Americans.

  • @sianishark hah, in england most people seem to hate american not americans themselves though, but in greenwich at least.. everyone's anti-war and is pissed off with the whole iraq/afghanistan thing, and blames the US for pulling us into it

but the netherlands sounds cool, i think parts of california are the same too from what i've seen and heard but I'm only going by TV so i dont know how reliable that is lol

  • @mcdermott1989

yeah I think most Europeans think that way. But unfortunately the Netherlands were the first to support the US with their "anti-terror"- campaign in Europe. Really annoying. Muslims have the hardest time here, politically. But hard is relative - cuz the Netherlands are really liberal. How's the situation for Muslims in England in ur opinion?

Yeah, some of my friends went there for their study abroad program. They also said people were quite open there.

  • @sianishark oh man, muslims have it really tough... we have these ridiculous right wing tabloids that literally make up random crap about what they "plan to do to the country" and how they are going to "ban christmas"

the whole focus has shifted from black people onto muslims, and to make it worse... annoyed muslim youths lean towards the more extreme views of islam as a result of being alienated

i just bury my head in the sand, we can't do anything about it

  • @mcdermott1989

i agree. i visit so many american websites and blogs and i really think that americans obsess over race and skin complexion way more than people in the uk. most mixed people live in london. london is so multi-cultural that is not so much of a big deal

  • LibraDiaries is not to be trusted. She's using another account (LibertineDeInsane) to troll people, mostly on biracial/interracial videos. On that fake account she has stolen pictures and she pretends to be this girl. Please be extremely careful when dealing with this woman who is seriously disturbed. She likes to clone accounts, make false accusations, and threats and she traces IP addresses.

  • This is awesome!! We need to educate our children to accept both races and not have to choose between races. I am biracial too, and ad a hard time in school. I was picked on by Black girls and treated like shit. I had some indifferences with white boys too. So this is the thing, FUCK RACISM.

  • This is really retarded. First off, these kids are too young to be interrogated about about social issues such as this. Just wait until these kids get older and start going to school w/white kids. After they get called n*gger a few times, they'll find out how "biracial" they are.

  • "What's your nationality?"

    I ♥ Momma

    ..that was too FUNNY!!

  • "Black and white"

"And what does that make you?"

    "Special"

Your kids are just too adorable XD

  • Comment removed

  • And @ Dude below kno how 2 Makem right " All them mixed kids look The SAme

  • Lol yea honestly on this video the mom kno her kids gon be Considered BlAck no matter what so she askin them ques youn. THEY Gon Be Considered BLACK no matter What

  • You have beautiful children.I am a mum of two beautiful mixed race children myself. My daughter is 18 and my son is 13,they are wonderful, well behaved and fantastic children.

Ciao ,mine are mixed=italian and afro american.

  • What the hell your interviewing babies who don't know shit about race or anything. Let their brain develop more and talk to them when they are at least 15 or something. Jesus fudgin Christ. Let the kids be kids and not worry about race. Race is a grown folks matter.

  • @u2hubard, I agree. I dont ever remember worry about race when i was this young. I didn't start really noticing racial differences until I was in college when I was called the N-word for the first time in my life. By that time I had the knowledge and the perspective to deal with racism. This is way too young. They should be learning how to play an instrument, karate or dance at this age. Even the dog is outraged, smh. Children arent allowed to be kids anymore. They're forced to grow up fast.

  • @WhereYaBoss Asking them their opinions about what they've experienced isn't forcing them to grow up. Perhaps if you read my blog or knew my family, you would have a more accurate perspective about our children. Also, the issue we were addressing was whether or not biracial CHILDREN have a harder time or feel targeted because of their mixed heritage, which is what they were asked. If anyone preserves the 'childhood' for their kids, it would most certainly be myself and my husband.

  • @katjrobertson Yes it is forcing them to think in terms of race when they should be focusing on being children. Because of you they will never remember a day when they didn't know they were black & white. I remember those days honey. I remember when all I cared about was if I was having fun, whether my friends could sleep over, and what I was getting for Xmas. Sadly, I went to college with kids whose parent taught them not to play with black kids or told them they couldn't watch The Cobsy Show!

  • @WhereYaBoss Well, that's your opinion and you are more than welcome to raise your children however you see fit. Mine, however, aren't going to be sent out to be surprised by what they find in the world. We talk to our children about things that are relevant to their lives. Racial prejudice is a societal issue that my kids aren't going to be ignorant of, especially living in the south. THIS particular video was actually reflective of the fact that they are proud of and confident in who they are.

  • @katjrobertson, You know I've been running into racist children and the only way they know about race is if an adult is telling them about it. You say you are teaching them to be proud of who they are. Who they are on the inside, their talents, their abilities? No, you're teaching them to be proud of their race, Ma'am. And yes you have the right to teach your kids whatever you want, but it's not fair to them that they can't just be kids at this age...and I think that's unfair.

  • @WhereYaBoss You looked at ONE video & you think you know what I'm "ONLY" teaching my kids? lol This is ONE of the conversations I have had with my children. ONE. Get over yourself. If you don't think the conversation should have been had, that's perfectly fine. You're entitled to that opinion, but don't for one second assume you know how we raise our children LOL My children are VERY much encouraged to appreciate and celebrate diversity. That is important to us whether you approve or not :)

  • @katjrobertson, What's done is done. What you did is equivalent to telling them there is no Santa Claus, God does not exist, and that there are grown men inside the costumes at Disney. There are small children on anti-depressant drugs because some adult exposed them to grown up issues too early in life. Race is too big for children. Yes! You can expose them to all of life's ails, as you say, they are YOUR kids. But don't be surprised if they're grown up by 12 and their innocence is gone : (

  • @WhereYaBoss Oh and just for the record, so you can further disapprove... our children have NEVER been told there is a Santa Claus. Or an Easter Bunny. Or a tooth fairy. Or any other imaginary being... like the costumed men at Disney :) They have very strong faith and firmly believe in God, however. Because He is real.

  • @katjrobertson Teach them how to sing like you. You have a beautiful voice!

  • @WhereYaBoss LOL Well that's a nice way to turn the conversation around :) Thanks, I appreciate that! They do love to sing... especially my oldest. She has a beautiful voice :)

  • @katjrobertson Well, you mentioned that I didn't see any of you other videos and you were right. I took the time to look at your channel and boy what did I discover! You're voice is so precious. And I will take a look at your other site you mentioned.

  • Your kids are lovely, congratulations on well-adapted children. I am white, my boyfriend is black and we live in the UK where mixed relationships are very common. We still get a lot of prejudice, especially from some members of my family. Do you think that biracial kids associate more with one race or both? I sometimes worry that all biracial kids call themselves black and it's nice to see your kids recognise both cultures even though they are so young.

  • EVERYONE IS SPECIAL, AND THE BLACK AND WHITE RACE CAN CONTINUE EXISTING IF PEOPLE WOULD JUST LEARN HOW TO RESPECT OTHERS THAT ARE DIFFERENT!

  • This video is really great, and your kids are soo cute! I'm half white, half black and this video is true. I'm doing a small film project for an art class, and your video is exactly what I'm trying to prove. That inter-racial couples do work, and bi-racial kids are just the same as any other kids. Thanks :)

  • what's your nationality?? the answer to that question should be american or japanese or costa rican or something thing like that. whats your ethnicity? would be the appropriate question.

  • She's BEAUTIFUL!

  • I'm moving over to Ghana next year where black people have all the power over here in America white people have all the power, even all the poor white people have power because of the color of there skin. Brother Cobbin out here in Eugene, Oregon.

  • Comment removed

  • @keithdcobbin1

Black is dominant white is recessive.

  • your kids are adorable. I'm biracial, but I've never had identity issues

  • @wickedman6 Biracial folks always have good looks.

  • She's asking a 9 year old child questions to try and support her mistake in breeding mixed kids. LOL

  • Your kids will be identifed as black by society. Kids are kids and no one should hate any kids, but I question why a white woman or white man would want to bear children that will not resemble their own appearance. Breeding is about continuing your heritage and lineage. I personally would not feel right inside if my kids had kinky hair and light skin. I'd feel weird somehow and wouldn't choose to put myself in that situation. I'm against it sorry.

  • @upinflamezzz well then why are you watching the video

  • @upinflamezzz

" Society will view them as black"/ I've heard that a million times and it is lame. It's based on a racist myth called the one drop rule and has no validity whatsoever. The fact that our society is screwed up is not what is important. The fact these kids are growing up knowing exactly who they truly are and being proud of regardless of what racist or ignorant people think is what matters. I'm biracial also and my parents made sure that I knew I was equally white and black.

  • @upinflamezzz

And what is your point anyway. That skin color is what determines whether your kids look like you or not? Just because your kids are 100% white doesn't mean they will look like you. My mom is very very fair with dark straight hair. I'm a light golden color, I am latin looking with dark curls. Everyone I meet white and black say I look just like her. My brother looks like a white kid but if you stand him next to our black dad you can tell that he has some of our fathers features.

  • "i love momma." favorite part!

  • Katrobertson, one thing we can probably agree on is that your kids seem pretty well adjusted right now. They seem happy. I wish you and kids all the best :)

  • @NYBANGER100 I won't accept name calling on my videos. It's immature and pointless. Your comment has been deleted. If you can't be respectful then find someone else's videos to comment on. I don't appreciate being called out of my name.

  • my brother and I are both biracial with different, white, mothers and have both had different experiences. I think he has had it harder than me being a biracial man. and we each grew-up in different times. But it's still hard. What parent do you idenify with more, White or Black?

  • Also, these kids are just too young for the question "Do you think being biracial has made life harder for you?" (Harder compared to what? ... They're just kids. Their biggest concern is convincing adults to let them stay up late. )

  • @CheezInspector I am sure that they will have their experiences later, but that doesn't make their opinions any less valid at this point. They are proud of who they are even at their ages now and that is great! It will hopefully contribute to a high level of confidence later in life :)

  • @CheezInspector they are not too young for the question..Kids go through so much especially these days..from teachers judging them by their skin color..to other kids not excepting them..if this question is directed to anyone it should be young kids because they go through and witness a lot

  • @YAGuRLDez1, I think the way some of these questions were asked is just a little too sophisticated for people with limited life experience. Most little kids don't even know they're being judged based on their ethnicity by teachers because most teachers will be subtle about it, especially these days.

  • @CheezInspector I think there is something wrong with this woman personally. It appears she has some deep-rooted issues with her own identity.

  • @iamhonestjohn, I have no clue whether or not there's something wrong with the vlogger. It just seems like parents these days are forcing kids to deal with adult issues way too soon. It's like, gosh, just let them enjoy childhood a little before you start asking them to discuss how much or little their being racially discriminated against. What next, should we ask two-year-olds if they've been molested yet?

  • @CheezInspector I completely agree. Children, especially here in the UK, are finding themselves having to address increasingly complex social issues like homosexuality and the like... IN PRIMARY SCHOOL! People need to know where to draw the line.

  • @iamhonestjohn, that's discouraging to hear. I totally agree with you: adults need to know where to draw the line. That means moderation ... not going overboard in any one direction. Your young child needn't be some walking, breathing, politically correct parakeet for the emotionally-charged, personal political viewpoints of all the adults around them.

  • This vid is cute, but the lady keeps asking "What nationality are you?". That's wrong, because nationality=citizenship (Hint: the answer is American). What she meant to ask was, "What ethnicity are you?" lol

  • @CheezInspector lol Yes, that's already been covered in the comments. My fault :) I actually did explain that to my children afterward. To be quite honest (obviously) I didn't realize that. I felt kind of like an idiot when it was pointed out, but eh if that's the worst vocab mistake I make, I'm probably doing good *wink*

  • You have GORGEOUS children. God Bless you and your family.

  • OMG!

    Your kids are toooo cute!!!!

  • aww i just had to favorite it because theyre all so funny & Cute!

  • When I was in college, I met biracial siblings who were of diff. races. The identical twin boys looked like darker-skinned black guys with black features and the girl looked completely white. I didn't know they were related til they left for Christmas break together. She was like "These are my brothers." It was funny because I met all of them on different occassions and in different classes. I wonder how rare it is not to look "mixed" when ur biracial? They should do a study on that.

  • omg your son is super cute

  • aoo i love ut kids,I LIKE THE WAY SHE SAID THEIR MEANT TO BE IT SOOO SOOO LOVELLYY..

  • Nationality is not ethnicity American is her nationality, her ethnicity is what her parents are such as german, irish,Kenyans etc.. just sayin :-)

  • @CerebralMadness I was about to say the same thing but was gonna let it slide. :-)

  • your kids are soooo funnny and beautiful... how many do u have... it took me a while to notice the little baby running around lol

  • Hey Katjrober i would first like to say yo kids are beautiful.

i have a question for u. My girlfriend is White and i am black and we are deeply in love but my girlfriends father does not belive in mixed relationships and he nearly killed my girl when he found out and he has been an asshole to me ever since. how can I handle this?

  • @docorey17 MOVE! Seriously. He nearly killed her?!? She needs to take a break away from her family until they come to their senses. My friends' parents didn't start thawing until the second grandchild was born. If you really want to be together, you've got to depend on each other, keep each other safe, and don't let ignorant people get in the way of your love.

  • @docorey17 I am sorry that your relationship isn't accepted by her family. If you two are going to stay together, you're probably going to have to distance yourself from them and hope that they eventually come around... Best of wishes to you guys!

  • your kids are BEAUTIFUL! my favorite part is when your say that makes you...and your daughter responds, "special"! All kids are special. I have a mixed son (white and hispanic) and we are teaching him to be proud of who he is.

  • Your kids are too cute!!!!!!!!

  • Bless your children they are beautiful :)

  • I appreciate that! I would have to agree haha But of course, I'm a litttttttle biased!

  • They are lovely, and you seem so happy, i love your laugh lol, where do you live in the US? x

  • utubedooby

This video and others were a response to JOP Bardwell's statements about biracial children. We will "get over it" when racism no longer exists, until then we will continue the dialogue :) Yes times are better...and the prez is biracial but we still have a LONG way to go!

  • Perhaps you missed the description: "Justice Bardwell claims that children of interracial marriages will suffer. This is what my family thinks about that :)"

    Have a good one :)

  • yak6ex HA HA HA are you serious? Kat has a southern accent, that could never be described as "Ghetto" BTW what is your definition og "ghetto" anyway...whatever it is I am SURE it is nothing like KAT!

  • The mom sounds ghetto.

  • @yak6ex I sound ghetto? Um, no. Please do elaborate. How so? I'm not speaking clearly or correctly? I would love to know what would make that the ONLY comment you could come up with after watching a video that wasn't even about me LOL!!!

  • @katjrobertson I think it's cause of your accent LOL. Blow 'em off! You are awesome and your babies are BEAUTIFUL! (by the way it's @BrittanyGreer5 - name on here is different than the rest!)

  • katjrobertson

Oh I'm sorry like Petty Coat Junction.

    You are cute though.

    Are you married.

  • Yes I am :) 8 years! Thanks.

  • Your kids are beautiful! I have the same name as your oldest daughter, but it's spelled differently.

  • your kids are very cute!!!

  • When asking someone what their nationality is, you are asking what Country (i.e. what Nation?) they are from, not race. The answer to that would be the United States of America. Please teach your children that. Cute kids, btw.

  • shun236

Thank you. Tyra makes the same mistake.

  • Thank you look up the account name hispanicisnotarace. Go onto my account and you'll see the subscription.

  • ... because the meaning of *nationality* is so much more important than the point of the video, of course. lol

Thanks for the correction. I suppose in my mind I view 'nationality' as more of a cultural thing which typically is defined by race.

  • The tragic mulatto stereotype is true only when the father is absent or white. When the father is black or Asian AND he stays with his family there's no confusion in the kids. They will identify with the race of their father.

  • Tragic mulatto stereotype? I don't know what any of that has to do with this video, but um, ok. lol My children identify themselves as being biracial. There is no confusion as to which race they belong. They do not feel the need to choose one or the other to which they *should* more closely relate.

  • BS and sexist. They'll identify as whatever BOTH their parents are regardless of who is the white parent. The only confusion that results in when the media does not promote a healthy discussion about mixed kids and society puts pressure on them to "choose" one side of themselves to identify with. It's just so ridiculous. My (technically half-) sister is biracial and PROUD of it. She does not identify with just one side of herself, because that would deny our mom's contribution to who she is!

  • i agree this whole biracial confuse and forced to choose thing is ridiculous be proud of all of who you are

  • i really love your kids their cut3 and tell briyanna shes one funny gurl lol so cute

  • Thank you! Yes, Briyana is FULL of personality, as are all my daughters haha :)

  • There is nothing wrong with been biracial.

ihave a daughter who is biracial

&a lil boy on the way.

The kids in this video are stunning ,

&definately something to be proud of :)

  • Are they all your kids?

  • Yes they are all my kids :) lol

  • Cute kids x
