Beethoven is for sure one the greatest genius ever lived. All his compositions are rare gems which make life worth to be lived. Fidelio is his only opera and, no need to say, it's no exception.

I met Mr. Polenzani today after Don Giovanni at the Met (along with pretty much the whole cast), and he was probably the sweetest of all of them. His arias were also incredible. What a voice! He's sung at the Met for years - why isn't he more famous???
