Create a Video from Still Photos Using Windows Movie Maker

Question: I'm trying to do put images to a song. The song's actual length is 6:54 but when I import the mp3 file, Movie maker tells me that its over 17 minutes! I did everything as indicated here, but the video ends up being 17 minutes instead of the actual song length on my cd which is 6:54. How can I fix this?
