  • I am English teacher and I can understand speech directly, but I did not enjoy this series because I am in a hurry and a passion to hear the voice of the Arab version Is there anyone among you can give me the Arabic version of this series?

    Thank you

  • I did watch that "fan" DVD set of Belle & Sebastian from December 15, 2011 to January 3, 2012. A great series that aired in the ABC in Australia (along with Mysterious Cities Of Gold and Sparkatus (Sun Beneath The Sea) between 1986 and 1990. Shows how good the old cartons were on the ABC in the past.

  • I watched this cartoon 20 years ago. It's so far and so familiar to me.

  • How are they twins?

  • @Choerilos They are not biological twins, they were only born at the same time and place with the same prophesied destiny to overturn the chinese empress and they can use their power only together ---> so they are called twins of destiny

  • God I remember this.

  • I did a check of old TV guides that are online and one episode of "Twins Of Destiny" was on ABC TV on 16/01/1995 at 5PM. I suspect that this was one of the very earliest episodes broadcast.

  • I have a full 52 episode "fan" DVD set of the English dubbed Belle & Sebastian series now. I got it off the internet. This "fan" copy is about 95% as good as a mythical official release will get and I plan to watch it in the December 2011-January 2012 period. So enter the TV show's name into a internet search engine and who knows what you may find? It may really suprise you. But such a search I did for "Twins Of Destiny" revealed no "fan" DVD sets out there though at the moment. Keep looking.

  • A lot of old cartoons need a proper DVD release now or now they will be completely forgotten. You can get "fan" made DVD sets for some old TV shows if you search the internet for them. I actually did see the odd episode of this series in 1995 on ABC TV and I liked it a bit. But I'd like to see all 52 episodes someday.

  • THIS IS PRICELESS. I'm from Australia and im 27 now. I remember this when I was 10-11. THANX SO MUCH!!

  • I'm Chinese, this is my favorite animation when i was a boy

  • I'm Iranian and when i was a child "twins of destiny" was my all time favorite series

  • Xavier Picard?? Is Patrick Stewart trolling us from the past?!

  • My brother watched this. My mum always recoreded it for him and when I was young I watched it. We still love the show.

This needs to be released on DVD!!!!!!! I don't know why it isn't out already!

  • 22 from Australia too. Not a single one of my friends remembered this show! I think that calls for a DVD release before it's forgotten completely lol.

Thank god for google being able to comprehend the absolute gibberish I searched for to get here.

  • Jean Chapolin...Famous for being behind the great Inspector Gadget cartoons!!!!

  • 26 from Australia too, I loved this as a kid! And spellbinder...

  • I remember watching this on abc in the afternoons about 15 years ago. maybe longer thanks for this brought back a piece of my child hood

  • So glad to have found this again. I'm 24, and this aired on the Dutch television back when i was 10 years old or something. Quite a dark series, but that was why i loved it!

  • @MarcSola7 I'm an Aussie too! Were we really the only English speaking country to ever watch this?! That's unbelievable! I last saw this when I was in primary school; it sacred the absolute shit outta me. The last episode I remember watching was when the magician killed the head guard on the train tracks. Hope they have that here somewhere. Memories, eh?

  • 27 from Australia, this brings me back memories when I see this. No doubt that it has a brilliant story line and us Aussies are lucky to be the only english speaking country to watch this.

I just hope ABC gives the licence to some other company so that they can bring out the DVD/Blu-Ray version to not only in Australia, but to USA and the UK because they are missing out.

  • I wish they had the DVD series of this, I would love to watch it again.

I also remember there was this old Chinese guy who was aligned with the Empress.

He transformed himself into a giant brain and tried to kill the twins.

That is how much I remember from this show.

I also remember the traveler gypsy as he was a friend to the twins and helped them.

Also remember how the twins were robbed at the train station.

  • I loved this anime.

At first I thought it was animated in Hong Kong.

But now I see the style of the animation, it is definitely animated in Japan.

this anime had allot of dark moments in it, and some sad moments too when their adopted father was killed. That was a sad episode that I cried at the end when I watch it when I was young.

  • 24, from China, first watched this at 12, missmy childhood

  • can somebody write the lyrics plss

  • @princecharming1903 I tried writing them by ear. This is what I got.

When the world is no longer fun, when the stars are no longer shining.

Jules and Julie never give in. The twins of destiny keep smiling.

When your friends are so far away. When the foes are waiting to {can’t make out} you.

Jules and Julie never give in. The twins of destiny keep fighting.

Making their stand, for their homeland.

Always so cool. Julie and Jules

  • @welme23 When the moon is bright in the sky, in the darkest hour before morning.

Jules and Julie never give in. The twins of destiny keep trying.

When the world is no longer fun, when the stars are no longer shining.

Jules and Julie never give in. The twins of destiny keep smiling.

Jules and Julie never give in. The twins of destiny keep smiling.

  • @welme23 thank you so much.

  • @princecharming1903 you're welcome :D.

  • 22 years old from Australia, reporting. HOW DID I FORGET THIS SHOW. All I could remember was how the chorus of the theme went, and that the girl's name was Julie or Juliette or Julia....I was starting to think I wasn't going to find it. I'll miss you, 90's

  • im 26 and watched this every day almost as a kid. I always wondered what their destiny was!! How are they twins if one is asian and the other isnt...hahahha

  • @itsheidirs

From what I remember, they were both born at the same time and their mother's had both died during childbirth. They were considered twins due to that connection as well as the prophecy of them bringing down the Chinese Empire.

That is what I remember from the show.

  • i USED TO WATCH THIS,SHOW, I LOVED IT.......

  • I'm South African, 29 years old in August, and I vaguely remembered this show for years. But the theme song is what really stuck with me - it was dubbed into Afrikaans here; something they did a lot back in the day, the early 90s, and I didn't even know the original title. So, for the last year and a half or so I'd been trying to find out anything I could about this show and, possibly, get to hear the theme song again. And today, that wish became a reality. Thanks, MDDawson.

  • Good to know this show actually exists and isn't a sign of me going schizophrenic. Bad news is, it's virtually nowhere to be found. There are 22 or so episode floating around the internet, but that's about it.

  • @JoesGuy

actualy, if you can understand tagalog, italian, german, french and english, you could probably watch the whole series as it was dubbed in all those languages, and various episodes can be found in some languages but not others.

Heck, I think that there is at least a complete collection of the original french version to be found.

  • @alphamone

Well unfortunately I'm not terribly fluent in any of those languages.

  • I'm 24, Australian, and breathing a big sigh of relief at FINALLY finding this show again.

  • God, I FINALLY found out what this show was after years of trying to find out! Nobody else seemed to remember it but me. I'm 25. :)

  • @chocodash I used to watch this show every afternoon when i was younger im glad i finaly found the intro such a nostalga trip

  • @chocodash OMG! I used to watch this back in germany when i was 7 years old! I am 22 now! It just randomly came to my head and i have been thinking about it for long time but never searched for it. So i asked it on yahoo answers and someone found it for me! I love this song!

  • @chocodash me too, i just found out its name after 13 years, can you believe it? i'm not 23 :D

  • how come i don't remember this? i am 29 watched it all

  • After years spent trying to remember this, it feels 100% good to find it right now.

  • It's too bad they don't have this as a dvd, well not that I can find. Where did people get the vid? I want the series sooo badly!

  • BEST EVER!

  • I LOVE reading all these comments. NO one used to know what I was talking about when I was talking about this show. I loved it so much. I'm joining the call for a 90's nostalgia TV station in Australia! (Where they show this!)

  • 24 yo here and watched in Australia also :) was so sad when they stopped playing it with no explanation :(

  • @NickyzTreatz

As far as i remember, ABC played it twice, the first time had a break (I believe to dub more episodes from french to english, as Australian tv goes through shows fast due to playing them 4-5 times a week instead of once, which is how the first playthough finished the second half), the second time went the whole way through as well, though had certain cuts made (as this was when the attitude of cartoons are for kids was still realy strong).

  • Wow. 26yo australian reporting in. Can we get a DVD release yet?

  • 22 here. used to watch this in Iran as a kid :)

  • I remember watching the television series when when I was young and I am 23. I have thought and searched for months to find out the proper name of the show as I could only remembe brief details.

  • I'm Irish, 24. Watched this on...I think it was CCTV? Loved it.

  • im 19 and in aus, i remember it too watching it as a kid, if your all 25/26 then i must have a pretty good memory.

  • I saw it too, it's was a kind of reference to The X-men, because the twins were never welcome when someone saw that they are using their powers.

  • I think it would be interesting if someone can do a live-action of this cartoon!

  • 23, same as below ;-D

  • @Fnord23Gnosis 23 too :)

  • I thought I imagined my whole childhood. Thank God I can breathe again, knowing this exists.

  • @eatyouroates

Same. I started to think I just dreamed up an episode every night as a child or something.

  • 26 here and I can't believe I found something on this great cartoon series, I put the name in the search not thinking anything was gonna come up on the Twins Of Destiny and like magic it did, I only got to watch this through once in 1995 on the Australian ABC channel everyday at 6:00pm. I've only got 6 or 7 episodes taped on VCR from when I was 11 and they're all from different times in the series.

I agree, this seriously needs a DVD anime release.

  • I'm 25 and from Australia also. I used to LOVE this show. Brings so many wonderful memories growing up as a kid in the 90s :DDD

  • HA! 26 Here too....Big Fan of this show....one of those memories that randomly floats into my head and I finally reminded myself to hunt it down on YouTube :D

WIN! Thanks so much for uploading this!!

  • Haha I'm 26 too, we had the best cartoons back in the day

  • they had this in aust when i was young and i used to LOVE it. HAHA!

  • i remember this when i was only 7 or 8 yrsold, i loved it.!

  • I used to practically WORSHIP this cartoon. ABC showed it in Aus when I was a kid and I LOVED it! I'm 26 too (all of us the same age LOL) and even my Mum watched this with me when it was on. :D SO nice to see it again. So many happy memories!

  • @icekat83

24 here, I also loved this cartoon. this REALY needs to get a DVD release.

  • I'm a 26 year old from Australia & I remember this too!! Just another classic Japanese cartoon that must've come out of this era :)

  • Epic cartoon. Was a series that got etched into my mind like Mysterious Cities of Gold in the 80s. Shows like these have a lot of good morality in them. Wish they'd bring this out on DVD as well.

  • oh my god...

    i'm ganna cry

  • I am soo DAMN HAPPY i found this!!! for YEARS ive always wanted to know what this series was called!! All i new was the tune of the theme song and "Twins" -- nothing else.. • omg! This is ancient!

I loved so much and I used to call myself and a friend Twins of Destiny hahaha

  • I think it is about time that "Twins of destiny" should be released as a film. It can be either animated or live action.

  • @ruantengyi Live action for sure. If they do that they could have something even better than the tin tin movie.

  • I remember this cartoon when I was little. The cartoon was like a connection with east meets west.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this, I used to love this show but could not find anything of it in English!! :)

I remember a few bits of the series, but they are so clear in my mind, I tried to hard to lock it in there when they took it off because I did not want to forget it.

  • OH MY GOD MY CHILDHOOD ;_____;

i used to watch this when i was four! one of my friends mentioned the name the other day and i remembered it. oh god this show was so good.

  • I used to love this show :O you wouldn't believe how many times I've had this tune on repeat in my head without ever being able to remember the words. This has made me so happy haha!

  • i remember the song and they look formiliar to me but aside from that i dont know anything about this i dont evenremember if i liked this or hated it.

  • I loved this show! (And all the other shows i watched as a kid. Animation HAS changed heaps since then ... but our "generation" still got the best kids' programs. But this was my favourite. )

But I'm 21 and no one my age remembers it either. :(

  • Comment removed

  • cool in English!!! ahah i'm italian xD

  • Oh god nostalgia rush

  • Í've seen it like i think i was 10/12 something like that, and now im 22 soo it hasnt been that long for me, i live in Holland.

  • mee too, they aired it waay too short back then!

  • I'm not even 20 and I remember seeing this. We'd act out the episodes at school. It was back in the days before Anime was popular, and that's probably why I liked it. But then Pokemon destroyed the medium for me.

  • nice!!i even didnt remember the name!!

  • LOL!! luv my classics. even u you look at stuff like Um..."Fist of the north star" that is from the 80's but it still puts alot of present day things to shame

  • Haha oh yeah for sure. I think I still have some of my Dino Riders toys...Ooo now I feel like watching all those classic cartoons all over again.

  • Thats what i'm talking bout..Dino riders. ol skool rox

  • I remember this When I was 16 at Wedding Day in Libya I watch Twins of Destiny (Dubbed in Arabic) was First Time.

  • 哈哈儿时动画

  • I was just about the type this...I thought I had dreamt it or something lol.

  • This was a great show, especialy the ending!

  • the story of our childhood! nostalgia at its best!

  • For the longest time me and my friend were trying to remember what this show was called... and anything beyond the fact that there was an abc show about twins, and one was an asian boy and the other a blond girl...

AND THIS IS IT! Thank you for loading it!

  • I am still kicking myself that I didn't record the entire series or even a whole episode.

  • You can still watch a the episodes of this show here on YouTube. Someone calling herself "indeedidotoo" has uploaded a few episodes.

  • I had episodes taped ages ago, but most of them were taped over, and any episodes (or fragments of) that remained on the tapes would have been lost when I threw out all my old recordable VHS tapes.

though, most of them were from the second block of episodes (from the first broadcast run), the ones that aired every friday at 6 pm.

  • @mddawson1 Someone else did. And if they haven't been taken off they are on YouTube...or at least they were!

  • @NarutoIsGayPro hey that's funny you should say that because it happened to me and my sister as well as one of my friends.

  • yeah i am 24 and i remember this cartoon...i missed the last episodes and didnt get to watch the ending :( they should put this on DVD..

i searched for this soo long!

    thanks <3

  • My god!! I haven't seen this show since early primary school. I love the intro, it has a nice Chinese beat & rhythm to it.

It also sounds courageous, adventurous & a bit sad in a way.

  • yeh same! around early - mid 90's. dont mind the beat, but you can tell its 80's lol

  • I loved this series... I remember being glued to the tv during that time slot, and boy did ppl get in trouble if they even considered changing the channel! Pity there is no dvd in english....maybe someone who knows french can do a fansub? they have released it on DVD in France but with no english subtitles :(

  • I hope someone could make a piano tutorial for this song. I just love this opening and this cartoon show.

  • wow absolutly great, this serie has been on german tv too. and the intro was the same english version. now i´ve seen your video and a lot of old remebers are coming up. thank you for uploading.^^

  • I remember this was shown on ABC two times. First time round there was everything, and it was violent considering the western nature of cartoons compared to the deaths and such in manga. Second time around they cut out the more glorified violent parts, I remember specifically because I had to prepare myself to watch a guy get cut into with an axe again the second time, but the scene was clipped so the impact shot never happened.

Mind you, I did love it.

  • yeah, I remember seeing some of the more violent parts cut out as well on the second time they played it.

Heck, the first time it was played, for the second block of episodes they got they played it 6pm on fridays.

  • Good god! That show was the bomb!

  • i didn't even remember this show until i saw this! I used to love this show!!

  • Lol this is so old. But I really loved this show. =]

  • julie and jule!!!ahahaha....thats cute!!...

  • I miss this show very much, I didn't realize how epic it was! Probably coz I was only five when I watched it on ABC. They just don't make cartoons like they used to anymore...

  • I have episodes 1-8 and 15-20 on my pc as .avi files.

  • Oh wow! Where did you find them????

  • Anyone who wants them just PM me, I'll give you the link to the site that contains all the links to downloading them.

The downloading itself may take some time though, be wary of that. It took me hours to download all of the episodes.
