this is on chinaman gulch correct? I wasn't aware this obstacle had a name. What gears are you running? Locked rear? Front? My buddy couldnt make it up this line with the stock 4:10's. He's open front and rear as well. He made it pretty far though, you can check out how far he got in my chinaman gulch video.
Why walk up something like this when you can drive up it. You see how easy it is to be a moron like you. If you dont like it why dont you find some rock crawler out on the trail to share your gay little fillings with and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to beat the shit out of your hippy ass and leave out there in the bushes.
Winch action helps to prevent flips when doing steep climbs. It's only reasonable intelligence (especially when your rig is also your DD) to hook up a winch line on a steep/sketchy climb obstacle as a safety precaution. Plus if you get stuck then your winch is already good to go :-D
man i love them 4 runners. i had a jeep that gave me 85 thousend miles. my toyota is a 1990 v-6 stick sr5 4x4 on 327 thousend miles with not one problem. have a domestic beat that.
Great Technique! Making it, good. Making it, with no damage, perfect. Looking for more challenge you say? Have you tried Pearl Pass? My favorite rocks.
My next challenge was Pritchett Canyon, in which I broke two half-shafts. After that I did a SAS on the rig, and then did Rocker Knocker with ease (the video is here on YouTube), plus many more obstacles.
> theres like 7 people pulling on a rope...to help
Actually, they were there to be ready to provide support if the truck were to slip off to the left side. They weren't pulling him up. (What fun would that be?)
Yup, there was a real threat of slipping off to the left and ending up in a real bad position. So, they helped to ensure if the rig started to slip, they could help pull it straight.
Yes, rear electric locker, and front ARB locker. However, as of today, the front has been swapped out to a Dana 44 axle on 12" coil-overs, with an ARB locker.

Turn on your volume. They didn't really use the winch although it was hooked up.
