  • ....uhmm... are u gay ?

  • This stupid EV1 was sold 1,117 times. 1,117 times!!! Surely sufficient to 100s of million euro in R&D for this shit, which is NOT green and does NOT less emit CO2! Of course, the ZEV-law was quit on the behest of the auto industry, because this leads only to waste of money into technologies that do not work and that the customers do not want. On top of it, you f&&cking don't reduce CO2 emissions with it, but create further chemical, toxic waste because the stupid battery wears out after 1 year.

  • @shanghaikidx , What a pack of lies from a biast fool.

1 years batteries! right! strangely after 25 years of dealing with this technology I am yet to see that. Most vehicles get 8-12 years from a pack, but this depends on use and quality of the cell. Batteries are a slow burn version of petrol/gas, why is it that strange people like you expect a consumable item to last for ever?

It costs $1 to travel 100km! total running cost $2.90 including ALL costs for maintenance, Batts, Brakes, Bearings

  • @1BustedMyth "total running cost $2.90 including ALL costs for maintenance, Batts, Brakes, Bearings"

Really, don't you say! :-) So given that you say that the currentfor 100 km costs $ 1, you have to travel roughly 5 to 10 million kms in your Tesla Roadster that costs around $ 100,00. Amazing, you are a maths genius :-).

  • @joaquinbln , Are you retarded? Did I say those figures are Tesla figures?

They are small car figures with price tags around $40k. It might be a surprise to you that there is more then one EV on the planet! oh and "current" is not "power"! bitch!

Tesla Roaster is a high end car, its not about economy, its about sexy motoring fun to shut fucks like you up.

Tesla S Coupe is more Economy

    Miev high economy focus

I suppose you think Toyota and Mitsubishi are idiots too?

  • @1BustedMyth "you think Toyota and Mitsubishi are idiots too?"

No, I think they a very clever in riding on the pseudo/green/wave where OEMs appeal to the green consciousness of customers without really being green. The toyota Prius is a marketing gag. Not more, not less. But nevertheless it sells great, since there are many technical illitertes out there like you.

  • @joaquinbln , Right!, so you have taken a Prius for a drive, studdied it stats have you? "marketing gag" you really are fucking retarded arn't you!

The Prius is a complete success in what it was designed to do, which is reduce fuel consumption and Co2 emmisions, it does both well! the modified plug in Prius does this even better, Toyota have liked it so much they will be introducing it soon.

Your a fucking mentally twisted biast oil loving asshole

    Not more, Not less

  • @joaquinbln "pseudo/green/wave" spoken like the nieve selfish self interested biast piece of shit that you are!

So your arrogant enough to think that clean air does not matter!

We will see if you ever become a father and your child develops respiritory disease due to automotive and industrial polutants in the air, how arrogant you are. The largest city here states a death toll of over 1,000 people PA, that comes from the senior Doctor at the largest hospital, liar is he? you know better?

  • @1BustedMyth

"So your arrogant enough to think that clean air does not matter!"

Stupid statement. I come from a country with NO oil, but that is leading in renewables. If u want to make the EV genuinely green that u need to develop renewables in parallel. If u charge ur batteries with fossil generated electricity u will have mor CO2, a costlier car that has a lower range and less redeeming features.

  • @joaquinbln , So Bitch! you think you are smarter then Engineers at all of the major car companies combined who have either had or currently have an electric or hybrid vehicle program and have recently been comming out stating that EV's are the future of motoring, you have been keeping up with the news haven't you?

You really are just a biast piece of shit who has no idea what they are talking about arn't you!

    Pathetic

  • @1BustedMyth "So Bitch! you think you are smarter then Engineers at all of the major car companies combined "

Imbecile, no I am not, but every REAL automotive engineer will tell you the same. The EV will come but not at massive scale, because you have to compromise either on the range, performance or costs.

And hybrids are only marketing gags to bie sold to completely stoned hippies who dont have a clue whatsoever.

  • @joaquinbln , Its okay I already knew you were NOT!

funny that, because I actually know a few Engineers, yes REAL ones!, but by "REAL" I presume you mean BIAST! when I say REAL I mean decent people with integrity (its ok I know you don't understand that word) who can see what needs to be done and have the balls to call out scum like you, with your lazy armchair propoganda, Ooohhhh its all just tooooo hard!, it will require me to think in a different way! (for a change)

  • @joaquinbln , Your exactly the kind of person who was argueing that the Automobile was dangerous because you were in the Horse business, then when you couldn't stop these people you decided to use propoganda and bribing the powers that be to make laws to restrict their use.

Hey here's a thort! I REALLY hope you are the first person to get rundown and killed by an EV, wouldn't that be great! you wouldn't have to see EV's everywhere and we don't have to listen to you bitching like a child.

  • @1BustedMyth

OMG, why do I actually leave comments on YT. All you end up with is talking to brain amputated monkeys.

Fuckhead, the hybrid car as a concept is not very smart, at least the full hybrid. The Prius additional propulsion system plus battery weights some 400 kgs. So you need to regenerate a lot of energy to regain the additional energy to move 400 kgs around. And the lion share of energy you need to move a car around is not for acceleration ...

  • @joaquinbln , Indeed WHY do you leave comments?- asshole!

"talking brain amputated monkey" Ummm..... you mean anyone who calls yo on your bullshit propoganda and flat out lies!

Um.. lets look at your understanding of biology, 1: amputation of the brain will result in death of the body inc monkeys, 2: monkeys don't talk!, but it would seen they CAN type! I am however surprised you have internet in your enclosure!

  • @joaquinbln , Your insults are as poor quality as your knowledge, but then I'm only a "cangaroo" who am I to talk!

  • @1BustedMyth

Fuckhea, feel free to buy your EV, Prius or whatever. Regarding to the EV, I did not say that I am totally against it. I am just saying that the EV will not come at as a massive scale the media wants to make you believe. After all, customers will decide according to costs, performance, practicability, charging time, range, charging cycles.

  • @joaquinbln , Hey you could get a job with Fox News!

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, even better just make shit up!

    Fuck everyone else, right!

hey we have no right to clean air to breath, clean fishery, lack of war over oil, NO, your completely right, FUCK US!

Hey here's an experiment!, go start your car in your shed with thedoor closed and sit in the car for a few hours, it perfectly safe!, trust me! I know a colleague of mine is an air sample scientist with the epa

  • @1BustedMyth

... but almost 80 % for fighting air resistance and friction. So, if u a smart and thats what BMW, VW, Audi, Merc are u put your brain into increasing the efficiency of the whole package (aerodynamics, engine, light weight materials etc.) bcs the lever is much bigger. And of course BMW and MErce also have a hybrid but a MILD hybrid i.e. u dont store the recovered electric power in a HEAVY battery to run an electric motor that powers the car alone ...

  • @joaquinbln , fucking derrrrrr! oh REALLY!, dam is that how you design a good car!, well fuck me! there I was thinking aerodynamics only applied to aeroplanes!!!!!!

Yes that would be why the Tesla's underbody is streemlined!

Hey newsflash! make a car like a teardrop and it will be low drag, oh but thats right, fucking morons like you ONLY give a shit about how the car looks, NOT that it produces low emisions or independance from oil

Gee how much power??, wank, wank. Small Penis?

  • @1BustedMyth "here I was thinking aerodynamics only applied to aeroplanes!!!!!!"

Here we go. You see, with your little knowledge, you really should stay out of things for adults.

  • @1BustedMyth

... but you use the electric power to generate additional boost during the next acceleration phase. How long can a Prius run on battery solely. 4 min 6 min?? Great and therefore they move 400 kgs around. Stupid. The only reason why the Prius consume some 4 l per 100 km (on the paper!!!) is that it does not have any redeeming feature, no performance, no comfort, no nothing. If u really want to save the world buy a Gold or Polo diesel ...

  • @joaquinbln , So you have spent how much time in a Prius?

It was built as a car for large cities, where traffic jams reduce movement to low speeds and a great deal of time is spent in a stand still. This is new technology and you don't use OLD technology measurements on it dipshit. Rating a Prius should be by the hour, not by the Km, because that is the role it is designed for, NOT, repeat NOT!!!! highway work, fuckwit.

The car is a COMPLETE success for what it was designed for, BIG CITY!!

  • @joaquinbln , So have you EVER even taken a Prius for a test drive let alone a really good try out, well?

"No performance" right!, sure, um.. yes TWO motors pushing at the same time during max excelleration, nooooooo performance.

Personaly I found that at 180kmh the car was steady, quiet and it got there just as fast as a comparable ICE, infact I would say a little quicker, but it was not timed. ITS NOT BUILT FOR PERFORMANCE MORON!!!!

  • @joaquinbln , If you want something with big numbers, buy a Tesla or another high performance EV, I suppose you think a Tzero is a slug as well, ummm... thats the EV that thrashes most cars over a 1/4 mile inc Porsche and Ferrari.

We didn't have a big enough straight to stretch the Tesla's legs, at 110mph it was still accelerating like hell, hit the brakes and started making 80amps of regen. After more then 20 full power runs it had over half charge. But noooo it has a battery problem!!!!

  • @1BustedMyth "I suppose you think a Tzero is a slug as well, ummm."

No, unilke you, I have accurate knowledge. Yes, an eclectic motor has several advantages over an ICE. 1) the high degree of efficiency of 80-90 percent vs the 30 percent of an ICE. 2) torque available at any revs, while the torque in an ICE first have to be built up with the revs.

  • @joaquinbln , Um... why are you telling me what I know?

So your admitting EV motor is 80-90% efficient and an ICE 30%

Are you tring to back out?

  • @1BustedMyth "But noooo it has a battery problem!!!"

Well if you push the Tesla like this, the battery is empty after 60-80 km.

As I told you the torque is available at any revs in an EV.Thats why the acceleration of the Tesla is pretty fast. The tyop speed is delimited to 200 km/h. Otherwise the journey would be very short.

  • @joaquinbln , Thankyou I am aware of Tesla on road performance, I take it you have never been near one, let alone driven one!

Looks to me like you are trying to back down and save face while you still can!

You just love to keep trying to twist the ACTUAL useability of these cars, don't you!

ICE cars when flogged return the same poor range performance BUT they do not recover any of that energy, the Tesla does!

Ohh gee theres that perpetual motion again!!!!!!!

80 amps of regen! suck that!

  • @1BustedMyth "80 amps of regen! suck that!"

Dipshit, the appropriate unit of measurement for energy is Wh, J or VA. Amps is the unit of measurment of the current.

"BUT they do not recover any of that energy, the Tesla does!"

The BMW 7 series hybrid, the Merc S-Class blueech do.

Again, the lever (88 % of energy is dissipated for resistance and friction) for reducing CO2 emission is much bigger by increasing the efficiency than by recovering kinetic energy (12 %).

  • @joaquinveyron , Gee thanks for the basic electricity lesson asshole, geeeeee REALLY, power is watts!!!!, nooooooooway!!!!!!!

Many you are really giving Wiki a beating arn't you!

Um... so your saying that the Tesla is the ONLY car with regen, is that what you are saying?

It really sucks to be you right now!

  • @1BustedMyth "Gee thanks for the basic electricity lesson asshole, geeeeee REALLY,"

No, problem. You are welcome. Listen to my words. Then you will learn.

  • @joaquinveyron , There is NOTHING I ever want to learn from filth like you (or could)

  • @joaquinveyron , How about this for a unit of measurement

SHITLOADS ! Telsa makes SHITLOADS !

That means: YOUR FIGURES ARE BULLSHIT !

  • @joaquinveyron , NEWSFLASH, NEWSFLASH

People want affordable medium sized practical EV's NOW!!!

Um... people that do not travel at 200kmh everywhere!

Um... AKA MOST OF THE FUCKING WORLD!

  • @1BustedMyth

"People want affordable medium sized practical EV's NOW!!!"

Now, for the first time you say sth that is half-way intelligent. Exactly, the customer decides in the end.

And if there were an OEM that would be able to offer an EV that satisfies ALL customer needs, this OEM would make shitloads of money (butofc, the evil, evil oil industry does not want that, right).

  • @1BustedMyth

"People want affordable medium sized practical EV's NOW!!!"

Not available in the market. The best what you get is small EVs that are higher priced and less practical (smaller range and charging time(.

  • @joaquinveyron , WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO TELL PEOPLE THIS TECH DOESN"T WORK!

EVERY SINGLE OWNER OF AN EV1 LOVED IT AND DID NOT WANT TO GIVE IT BACK, EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!!!

But arrogant fucking pigs like you control the money and oil and are prepaired to kill to protect it !

I hope a close familily member of yours breaks your heart (if you have one) with a respitory illness from petrochemicals, maybe then your arrogance will weaken.

  • @1BustedMyth

Yeah, everv 1147 of them. WOW. Tihis must have been a bestseller. I am pretty sure that 1147 cars sold justified the 2 biliion USD R&D costs.

  • @1BustedMyth "But arrogant fucking pigs like you control the money and oil and are prepaired to kill to protect it !"

    blablablblablblablblablblablblablbbla..

Dipshit, there are couple of EVs on sale. Why dont you and Mr. Smith or Miller buy one?????

  • @1BustedMyth "I hope a close familily member of yours breaks your heart (if you have one) with a respitory illness from"

Yes, it must be vey hard to live next a power plant that produces electricity for EVs.

  • @1BustedMyth "ICE cars when flogged return the same poor range performance B"

The point is that most of the EVs cannot be "flogged". This is certainly an advantage.

    Well, if I drive my BMW 535 at 250 km/h I consume 9 L per 100 km.

  • @joaquinveyron , Umm... 80-90% efficientcy! with a renewable fuel source.

You live in a false economy, clearly you need to suffer more to accept the reality that your bmw's aircon can not protect you from what is happenning outside.

I have seen people take their own lives because of Exxon, Bp and I have seen Shell instrumental in having people murdered, I have had my life threatened by a minning company and a member of our team die under suspicious circumstances, whilepricks like you smile

  • @1BustedMyth

Dipshit, the degree of efficiency of EVs that are merely powered by regen energies wouldnt be much lower than 80 %, since 80 % is only the efficiency of the electric motor. You have many other processes in between (powertransfer, charging, friction of the car). But you are right, this questions would be obsolete, once regen energy is available in abundance, which is not the case.

  • @1BustedMyth

Even in leading countries regarding to this such as Denmark, Spain, Germany, the share of renewables in generating electrical power is 15 %. so There still would be a long and expensive way to go. For the time being, you wouldn t want to waste the precious renewable electric power to be wasted on EVs.

  • @joaquinbln , Prius exceeds all quoted figures if you use it for what it is built for. The only thing I did not like was the seat, which I think they have changed.

its 4-6km EV mode moron, not minutes! you really are having trouble with this engineering arn't you!

Prius uses EV Mode only for carparks, stop start driving at the lights, nothing more, that was the concept, because that is whereICE uses (wastes) the most fuel. Plug in Prius gets 40-80km EV Mode, unlimited range.

  • @joaquinbln , How long does a F1 car use KERS for? Dahhhhhh!

So lets recap, F1 see's KERS AKA Hybrid! ass an extremly important technology that works and works well, but Noooooooo not you!

Prius is the opposite, it is designed to use as little fuel as possible, emit as little Co2 as possible, have unlimited range, all the usual features of a small car without the chrging time of an EV and most important introduce the technology to the consumer and get lots of miles of data for the tech. WIN

  • @1BustedMyth :How long does a F1 car use KERS for? Dahhhhhh!"

Exactl, you dipshit. And the KERS in F1 works like all the MILD hybrids you find in Merc S Class, BMW 7 series and NOT like in the Prius. The kinetic energy recovered with this is system is not stored in battery for long and an F1 car does not have a separate propulsion system., All this would be much TOOOOO HEAVY. The kinetic energy is used in the next acceleration phase as an additrional BOOST.

  • @joaquinbln , Geeee thanks for the lesson! but I am aware of how a flywheel works, this also is not new, 1974 South Africa a large system was used with success on a EV Bus.

    Bet you know everything!

  • @1BustedMyth "Hybrid! ass an extremly important technology that works and works "

Never said that a hybrid does not work. It only makes no sense at all from an economic and ecological perspective, in particular if you travel long distances on the highway at 200 km/h. Then you only have useless additional weight of 400 kg. WOnderful!!

  • @1BustedMyth "Hybrid returns 30%+ fuel reduction, it might come as a surprise but you still have to stop sometime."

Depends on your driving cycle. If you constantly stop/and/go, then a hybrid makes sense from an eco point of view, although a mild hybrid still would be a better option, since u dont have to move around a heavy battery that tendentially leads to a higher consumption.

When u mainly use ur car on a German autobahn, then a hybrid makes u consume more gas. That is clear.

  • @1BustedMyth "OST car owners on the planet NEVER travel at those speeds, let alone on a daily basis"

You are right, I normally drive much faster, like 250 - 300 km/h.

  • @joaquinbln , So would you like to enlighten us as to how many Km's in total in the World there are were you travel long distances at 200kmh!

Your version of long distance may not fit mine, have you seen Australia on the map!

Your just so full of yourself, there must be a lot of people who really hate you.

  • @1BustedMyth

"So would you like to enlighten us as to how many Km's in total in the World there are were you travel long distances at 200kmh!"

    12.700 km

  • @1BustedMyth "Your just so full of yourself, there must be a lot of people who really hate you."

Yes, how do you know? Yes, there are many stupid and ignorant people in the world that have a problem with me :-)

  • @joaquinbln , Just love how you have come up with the most unbelievably rare scenario of driving to try to back up your bullshit.

Most of us don't rape people financially on a daily basis so we don't waste our money, are you by chance a Banker?, Stockbroker?

  • @1BustedMyth

Hahaha, a practical test of the latest Prius revealed a daily consumption of 5.8 L per 100 km.

So, if you want to save the planet, buy yourself a BMW 520d. Itsconsumption is 5.0 L per 100 km.

  • @1BustedMyth

A Polo diesel consumes 3.2 L per 100 km and is much sportier, more comfortable than this piece of rubbish named Prius.

    BMW 520d a 1.8 ton car, 245 HP, max speed 245 km/h, 4.9 L per 100 km

    BMW 730d a 2.2 ton car,245 HP, max speed 245 km/h, 6.9 L per 100 km

  • @joaquinbln , SPEED, KW, SPEED KW, its ALWAYS the same with brain dead fucks like you!

I can build you an EV with ANY, repeat ANY top speed and KW rating you want!

Flat torgue curve moron!, you might like to look up the land speed record for an EV!, its just engineering fuckwit!

Here beat this data! BASIC (just for you) Thermodynamics (Excluding turbines)

The efficientcy of an ICE is what at best asshole...............

The same for an Electric motor is..............

    Come on. lie aboutthat

  • @1BustedMyth "can build you an EV with ANY, repeat ANY top speed and KW rating you want!"

Of course, one can, but the higher the top speed, the lower the range or the heavier you need to build the battery. Would be a phantastic sports car, carrying around a 4 t battery.

  • @joaquinbln , How strange weight is such an issue with you, so when you buy a car, the first thing you ask is "How heavy" geee i don't care about anything else like overall efficientcy, just tell me the weight!!!!!

So you would try to interogate a Lambo dealer like this?, "nope don't like that lambo, toooo heavy"

Your really clutching at straws arn't you !

  • @1BustedMyth "anything else like overall efficientcy, just tell me the weigh"

I AM talking about overall efficiency and the weight of a car is one factor of it. So by adding an additional weight of 400 kgs, you need to make many stop.and.go kinetic energy recovery processes to break even or u need to downsiye the car in the first place.

EVerybody can reduce consumption by downsiying a car.

  • @joaquinbln , 80-90% efficient motor!

Batteries getting better and better on a daily basis, you must be shiting yourself!

Whats wrong did an EV drag your ass off and blow you into the weeds?

(Oooooh but that car is heavier then mine!!!!!)

    Big baby!

  • @joaquinveyron , To say you are arrogant scum, would be to insult scum.

100,000's of people have lost their lives, their family, their sanity and their ability to earn a living, while filth like you criuse the Autobahn at 200kmh aircon on full listening to music ignoring the suffering and having the gaul to look down on those who try to change things for the better.

With the history of your country, you should know better!

    Don't loose your head!

  • @1BustedMyth

Hahahahahahhaha, why do you drive a car then, if it is the personified Anti/Christ???

You got me wrong, I dont drive 200 km/h. This is only my cruising speed. I go at 300 km/h. While doing so, I am emitting CO2 and almost ONLY CO2, while u down under might be emitting in ur under-engineered rubbish from the past century toxic NOx, SOx and MOs.

  • @1BustedMyth "those who try to change things for the better."

Since when do brain amputated monkeys like you who only have thought trhough a topic half-way change sth for the better??? Whenever people like u r allowed to decide sth, things always have gone WORSE. The impact on the environment due to the production and driving of a Toyota Prius is much worse than the one of a COMPARABLE conventional car, like a Golf or Polo diesel. But at least, u then bought into this green marketing gag .

  • @joaquinveyron , Lovely how you sdie step all the bits you don't like creep.

Um... "Cruise" at 200, but I go at 300!"

Do you see any problem with that statement?

    Really sucks to be you!

    You should look up Sociopath!

  • @joaquinbln , Sounds like you need to masterbate yourself with a V8, nothing else will do! carefull you dont burn yourself on the exaust pipe!

  • Brilliant performance by these two.

  • Bullocks! You don't have a clue about anything, do you??? There are plenty of stupid e-cars on the markets which you can buy. So, why fu&&ckjing don't you buy them, or your fat compatriots in this case??? I can tell you: none of your burger eating Billy Bobs would buy a soapbox car that has no redeeming performance, power, speed, comfort, safety, practicability, etc. And secondly, who said that an electric car is ecological friendly or causes less emissions, damage, etc. to the environment??

  • Fact: Electric cars re-charging from a coal powered plant only does 1/10 the pollutants as the cleanest gas burning car.

  • Complete rubbish. The car was launched to the market because the government forced auto makers to bring a "Zero-emission"-car to the market (ZEV law). This is what happens if you are forced to launch a technology to the market which is not sufficiently developen (and can't be) to fulfill customers' demands.

  • Clearly you're not convinced despite what was shown, and yes it has always took a law to make cars better & safer. Do you really think these corporations are interested in what's best for you and the planet or what's best for their bottom line? Seriously, you rant on & on but have no proof. Do yourself a favor and research before typing... might make you look less stupid.

  • The companies, of course, are and must be interested in what the customer wants. In the 90s, it is clear that nobody (or in the case of GM EV1 the tiny number of 1,117) wants to pay for a e-car which is less practical, powerful, more expensive, less safe, etc. and above all not more eco-friendly, although everybody wants to have a clean environment. GM and Chrysler are also a good example what happens to companies that don't listen to the market. You are stupid!

  • Sorry but your mistaken, EVs are just as if not safer (no gas tank), more powerful, MUCH more eco friendly, in demand and very easy to upgrade to include a portable generator when you need more then 150+ miles but it's much easier to find a place to plug in then a gas station! Even beyond the loss of profits for oil companies & maintenance from an EV it was beyond stupid to actually destroy the EVs and not keep them as a hedge against all the inferior gas guzzlers. They can sell them NOW!

  • Why did I expect you to have a clue ...

  • Try doing some DD.

  • @shanghaikidx , Bullshit ! Clearly you don't give a shit as to what REALLY has been happenning for over 40 years.

  • @1BustedMyth

"clude a portable generator when you need mo"

It is gettingfunnier and funnier ... portable generator ... and how do you call such a thing?? Right, INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE ... but wait I have a much better idea: I use the current from the battery to run an electric generator that generates current to power the E-car. Brilliant!! Hahahahhaha :-)

  • @joaquinveyron , Um... you really don't understand basic thermodynamics and power generation principles do you!

Range extension devices for long trips do work and take many forms, some use Ethonol others Hydrogen, the later is a device called a fuel cell, I am yet to see one with a spark plug! 9if you know that that is?)

Regeneration works rather well, my friends Tesla Regens at 80amps, I'm yet to see a demonstration of it breaking the laws of physics, (I live in hope!)

    What was your point?

  • @1BustedMyth

Since when does an American speak about cars with KNOWLEDGE??? I mean, look at the underengineered rubbish that is caleld cars in the US. You obviously have no clue about physics and energy transformation.

Cars with range extension devices are called hybrid and depend finally on GASOLINE.

Dipshit, 100 kg of the latest batteries contain the energy equivalent of 1 LITER of GASOLINE. Thats why the batteries of the TESLA weight 450 kg and theTESLA is out of juice after 80 km.

  • @joaquinbln , Um... bitch! your saying a Tesla has 80km range?

How interesting that in a range trial recently it achieved over 500km.

So bitch!, how many years and Kw's on Solar radiation did it take to make the litre of petrol?, BITCH.

Poor baby, you really don't pay attention do you!

  • @1BustedMyth "Tesla has 80km range?

How interesting that in a range trial recently it achieved over 500km."

OMG, you are more stupid than I thought. The 500 km is under TEST conditions. I also can drive you any diesel Audi over 1500 km, if I am very gentle with the throttle and do not exceeda speed of 80 km/h.

The 80-120 km is the day/day practical range.

  • @joaquinbln , Your really not paying attention are you fuckwit!

You stated 80km range for a Tesla Roadster, NOW your saying up to 120km!

Bit of a creeping margin wouldn't you say!

NOOOOOOO fuck faceface we ran the tesla from Darwin to Adelaide under REAL conditions and achieved almost 550km, yes it was an excercise Deeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Day/Day practical range is just over 300km in the city.

Have you EVER! even been near one!, let alone driven one, well?

    Fucking liar

  • @joaquinbln , Oh and why are you calling me American?, Bitch

Yea it really matters what the batt wait is, when the overall outcome is a vehicle that works well, is fun to drive and looks great. Best of all it ends oil dependancy.

Let me guess, you don't think any renewable power generation source works either? yet it was good enough to make your precious oil !

NO, range extension devices are not always permanently fitted and no they do not rely on crude oil.

    Bitch!

  • @1BustedMyth @the later is a device called a fuel cell, I am yet to see one with a spark plug! "

You technical iliterate Billy Bob, of corse u can run a car on H2, either in a fuel cell car, which Mercedes already produced or in an ICE, that BMW has developed as 7 series. The problem with H2 is that it takes energy to produce H2, but much more to store H2, either in a high pressure tank (ca. 400 bars) or in a cyrotank below - 253 Celsisus.

  • @joaquinbln , Gee you have been busy on Wiki !

I have friends who worked on the testing for the BMW Cryotank, including explosion tests. Why are you telling me what I already know?

I have watched the BMW program and others from its beginning.

Do you know what the Australian Institute of Energy, Hydrogen division is?

close friend of mine was secretary.

So you think there are no other ways to collect H2 then from Oil ?

Pull you head out of your Ass you arrogant prick.

  • @1BustedMyth "what the Australian Institute of Energy, Hydrogen division is"

Who gives a shit what you cangaroos are doing down under. If any viable electric car will be launched to the market, it will come from Europe. Butthen you have to compare everything ... cost, Co2, practicability, well/to/weel CO2 degree of efficiency, performance.

Building an E-car is easier than breathing anyhow. An e-car is much more simple than conventional cars. The problem remains the battery.

  • @joaquinbln , its "Kangaroo" an Aboriginal, first Australian word, your can't even get an insult right you fucking retard! so shall I lower myself and start calling you a fucking FROG! I will have you know that our science is some of the best in the World, only a fucking nationalistic prick like you would come up with such lame insults of a nationalistic nature.

GROW THE FUCK UP, are you even old enough to drive?

  • @joaquinbln, Several friends of mine had viable electric cars and vans in 1972!

when they tryed to get Holden (GM) to take on the manufacturing they were told to fuck off in no uncertain terms, as has ALWAYS been the case with Oil biast assholes like GM and YOU.

Why in the early 70's did GM feel that the best drive system to send to the Moon was EV? well? now isn't it fucking strange that almost 40 years has passed and so little progress!! Hmmmm...?????

  • @1BustedMyth "Several friends of mine had viable electric cars and vans in 1972!"

Really? HOw did they like this 30 km-journey?

"with Oil biast assholes like GM and YOU."

Hahahhahahaha, now we have the conspiracy myth. :-) Itis a funny way to excuse your incomptence and if there is a company that is leading in this area, then it woldn t be GM anyhow.

1972??? In Europe we had the first EVs around 1900.

  • @joaquinbln , the University develped car and van had revolutionary moror design, drive train and were achieving 100+km highway and 65 -+ city cycle AND they still had more improvements to make. One of these vehicles is still in use as a delivery van for a bakery, the other two now belong to a private collector, well ahead of their time.

  • @1BustedMyth Concept car. Motor shows are FULL of EVs as concept cars. The major advantage of concept cars is that they need not be driven day in, day out. Cars that u want to sell need to prove their suitability for daily use.

"One of these vehicles is still in use as a delivery van for a bakery,"

Yeah, right. This is certainly not true, since this van would be outr of juice after 100 km and then on the charge for 5 hours.

  • @joaquinbln , Did I say it was the first EV? fucking moron.

So please explain to me the reasons why the sale of the EV1's battery to an oil company resulted in the battery not getting produced, the EV1 not getting it (but instead getting a defective delco pack) and why we have NEVER seen the pack since. Are you fucking shit stupid or what! you honestly think do you that with the amount of money oil stands to loose they are passive?

  • @1BustedMyth "Did I say it was the first EV? fucking moron."

Well, in your case historical facts and knowledge seem allwaysbe appropriate. The first EVs went out of sale forthe same reasons they have probblems in getting intgo business: the limited amount of energy storeable in a mobile transportation system.

  • @joaquinbln , 30 km range can be achieved with an old Mini, an Aircraft generator and a bunch of yacht batteries, even a moron like you could do it ( in a yaer or so)

    60km+ isn't that hard, 100 with some effort 200 with a lot.

You do know that the global motoring statistics state that most car owners drive 20kms a day!, you did know that didn't you?

So even a simple EV meets the needs of 85% of the Worlds car owning population.

  • @1BustedMyth "You do know that the global motoring statistics state that most car owners drive 20kms a day!, you did know that didn't you?'

DIpshit, but still the average customer wants a car that goes at least 500 km, so that he can go and see his mother/in/law and escape from there on the same day. The customers decide and will decide anyhow. In the near future an EV will be bought as an urban car for short distance, forthe longer one u go by ICE , train or flight.

  • @joaquinbln , Only assholes like you are convinced they need to carry 400km of fuel under their ass at all times "just in case" !! gee you might have to drive to another country during lunch or to get some Cheese after work.

    Moron

  • @1BustedMyth @like you are convinced they need to carry 400km of fuel under their ass at all times"

Obviously the average customer and above all you belong to these "assholes". Why havent you bought an EV then instead of babbling bullshit?>??

  • @joaquinbln, The 80km range you speak of belongs to my old work collegue who drives his EV to work every day and has for over a decade, he purchased two cars as wrecks from a batt dealer, fully rebuilt one+ spares, EVERY DAY people follow him into the parking lot to ask where he got this car and why are they not available? then he tells them it was built in England in 1974!!!

They go silent, as I did when he told me.

No chance big Oil has been interested in stopping this teck $1: 100km

  • @joaquinbln , Oh really!, its easier then breathing is it?, right!

So you have built one then?

How many of your friends own and drive an EV?

This technology is ready now and has been for some time, battery technology will continue to improve, batteries are REPLACEABLE moron!, that means in 8-10 years when your pack is due, you upgrade to the latest tech.

Yeah! gee! lets just hold the whole thing up because Assholes like you think there is a problem with the batts, see broken Telsa's do ya?

  • @1BustedMyth "Oh really!, its easier then breathing is it?, right!"

Of course, you spare yourself the job with building mechanically sophisticated differentials, engines, transmission, gear box. Instead one or foru electric motors and off you go.

The only problem is the battery and it not the life cycle time but the energy density which is of the latest Li-ion-battery ca. 180 Wh/kg, while for gasoline it is 18 KWh/kg.

  • @joaquinbln , I love how you use your energy density as the basis for your bullshit biast argument asshole!

You have a false economy dipshit!, we use oil that took a 100 years to form in one day! oil is solar powered biomass, millions and millions of non renewable tons of it.

Did YOU make the oil?, can you make some more for your 245kmh Bmw when it runs out? are you prepaired to see people die as the supply dwindles because assholes like you talked down R&D of other solutions?

  • @joaquinbln , Please tell me what the required energy calculations are to make oil from scratch and then turn it into petrol, what will this result in as the price per litre?

Oil is almost free, (FOR NOW) moron, once you drill the hole, get it all set up, its almost all profit.

Gee we don't want to have to work for anything do we you asshole!

  • @joaquinbln , Clearly you have NEVER had to build or convert an EV, do you even know how to connect a battery to a torch globe?

If it was as simple as you say assholes like you would be doing it all over the place, instaed its left to highly skilled and committed individuals.

Your to imature to be trying to play here with the big boys, go on run along.

  • @1BustedMyth

I am fed arguing with idiots. Thats why this will be the last message, then I will leave you in your misery, ignorance and utter stupidity.

Imbecile, do you know how much money a car or battery maker would make if they put a EV to that is truly competitive to ICE, in terms of perfoamance, costs, practicability (charging time, range), CO2-emissions?? There are EVs on sale, why dont you buy them, instead of telling stupid things? Why dont the customers buy t on a massive scale??

  • @joaquinbln , Gee thanks for the basic maths lesson, but i was probably doing Imbedded Energy calculations since before you were born, don't try to lecture me you piece of biast propoganda filled shit. Hey FUCK YOU!

I want clean air and a reduction in people getting killed over oil, not to mention less fishermen taking their own lives thanks to oil spills.

Tell your shit to the family of the mayor of Cordova, he killed himself because of Exxon 4 years ago.

    WHAT THE FUCK

  • @joaquinveyron , It kind of figures that you have friends who like Alex Jones,

Whoooooooohhhh, watch out evil Obama will get you with Chemtrails and his nwo.

    Get a grip

  • @joaquinveyron , There's no need to give me full details of your family heritage and medical problems.

  • Real Electric cars at Lionev website. Max tested range 456 miles with high end battery core. Cost about $30-40K.

  • Complete rubbish! Utter nonsense. Why should an average American customer buy sign. more money on a soapbox car that has no redeeming performance, power, speed, comfort, safety, practicability, etc. And secondly, who said that an electric car is ecological friendly or causes less emissions, damage, etc. to the environment?? The batteries have a life time pf 2 years, e.g., and how do you think the electricity that powers the car is produced??

  • in response to qetuol

    a) not every power plant uses gas, we have hydro electricity where I'm from.

    b) For power plants that do use gas, just because they use up oil and gasoline resources, doesn't mean it's alright for all of us to use up even more on top of that.

Oh and in case you're actually that thick, "hydro" power is water power.

  • a) He didn't say all power plants use gas, he merely compared it to a coal powered plant, of which there are many.

b)We wouldn't be using up more gas by using electricity generated by gas powered plants. Electric cars run on a few dollars a day in electricity. You can solar power that!

    c) Be proud that you know what hydro power is.

  • - Conspiracy theories are invented, hihihi to explain why this baloney does not work

    - they like seeing themselves as "Out-of-the-box thinkers" because Einstein has also done something that science could not predict (ignoring the fact that Einstein applied intuitively a scientific methodology that has guided him through observation, problem, explanation with existing theory, extension/ modification of the theory, experiment/attempt)

  • It remains a mystery to me, how people can "argue" with their brain being amputated:

    - Of course they do not think for one second, otherwise they could find that in history 1000s so called Perpetuum Mobile existed & none of them worked.

    - they take a YT video (!!!) as scientific evidence

    - they apparently do not like or ignore any scientific methodology, but do not care either if a proof has given empirically and are not interested in why none of the so-called "free energy" "inventions: worked

  • Thats right.

  • Hey retards, it takes fuel to make electricity. "I just plug it in"- ya, to an outlet that gets its power form the local gas-guzzeling electricty plant. You idiots must be democrats.

  • not all power plants use gas and coal to produce energy. .. and you can put solor panels on your roof and produce your own energy and even sell your home grown energy back to teh grid if you like

  • Even so, it's not as damaging as internal combustion.

Democrats aren't idiots. Some are.... But at least they are willing to think outside of the box and bring the future to now. Unlike republicans, wallowing around in their oil, fighting stupid wars and being greedy.

We've been around for thousands of years, and what do we have to show for ourselves?

  • - Completely ignore that so far none of these "free-Energy-crooks" allowed their "inventions" to be neutrally evaluated nor have they performed a public demonstration successfully. A claim alone is sufficient evidence.

    - Of course there are evil, evil oil companies to prevent such "inventions" (hihi, they couldn't care less about this shit). Sure, oil companies want to stay in business, but who could stop a car company to launch a "free energy" car to the market, when they would make trillions!

  • Solar panels installed on the roof of a home can provide electricity for charging an electric car, and the rest of the household. Not all power plants require fossil fuels to operate: hydro-electric (dams), wind turbine farms, nuclear, etc. I don't think they're are necessarily Democrats, just forward thinking people open to new ideas that will reduce pollution.

  • You'd be surprised how much electricity can be derived from photovoltaics, wind and other sources.

Ground-source heat pumps, evacuated tub solar water heating and other innovations can greatly reduce the amount of fossil fuel requirements.

While at present, these initiative still cannot account for all of our needs, they would greatly reduce emissions, and allow a limited resource to last somewhat longer.

Might want to do some more homework before name-calling...

  • Why on fucking earth do stupid women discuss about whether a technology is eco-friendly or not. Listening to their stupidity hurts!

  • "Hello Mr. Sheen. Thank you for your package. What else can you bring us?"

    fucking hilarious

  • THIS is FUNNY!!!

  • Where does electricity come from? A plug, where does that plug led to? A power plant, how much CO2 do you think they use? Think about that girls

  • Electricity can come from many sources. It can be as clean or dirty as for want. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear, etc.

  • No power plant USES CO2. SOME plants do however emit CO2. Lol. As illustrated in the film, the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the EV1 and other electric vehicles is substantially lower (50 times lower) than internal combustion vehicles even IF the electricity is provided by coal or petroleum burning plants. Keep in mind there are solar, wind, and other "free" and "renewable" methods that supply power to our grids across the country.

  • Great review. With composite "flywheel batteries" the EV1 could go about 300 miles/charge. Shame on GM & CARB.

  • Environmentalist chicks..HOT!

  • Nice review! I've featured you at YouTubeReviews com

  • we still have elecrtic cars, haha. the goverment even lower the taxes on etanhol. jippie

    hedvig from stockholm

  • It comforts me to see someone who is as pale as I am.

  • i saw it yesterday, it was very good.

  • Saw it today. Excellent documentary. Sums up what others have said for years and I've been saying since I was a teenager and started to study the issue.

Side note: I liked Rev. Gadget's Triumph Spitfire in the film. He at one point gave me the car for free; I was about to ship it from LA all the way out here to America's asscrack(Missouri). For cheaper than shipping cost, I found a GT6 in my city. Turned the Spitfire down and got the GT6, which I'm converting. Glad to see he converted his. :-)

  • I want to see it now, but I don't want to cry....8^(..even though It is sad that the environmet is going to shit now..and it sort of hurts my heart to see carwashes like 5 miles from other car washes and the keep cutting down more trees and want to wonder why there are so many animals coming out in the streets...asses!! Keep it Green!! Not brown and cement-y and stuff.

  • Cost parity with gasoline cars at $1.50/gallon when periodic battery replacement is included. Gas is currently $3, near $4 in Cali. No tune ups, oil changes, filters, belts, pulleys, gaskets, pistons. Electric motors last over 500,000 miles; with no repairs. Aftermarket parts and services were half of automaker profits. 40% of America's oil consumption is fueling its car fleet, the oil industry's largest source of revenue. The G8 nations make more taxes off of oil than OPEC makes in profits.

  • I'll be seeing this soon myself.

Since the 90s, we've had the technology for a 150-200 mile range electric family sedan that could do 0-60 in 8 seconds. Mass production would bring cost around $20k.

    http://www.ipd.anl.gov/anlpubs/2000/05/36138.pdf

Now days, that range extends to about 300 miles:
