  • Can i buy citric acid from baking stores? O_O pls reply :)

  • So you said metal

Wouldn't be good? Like a cupcake tin? Even If I use

Like a cupcake outline? I made my bath bombs in that and they worked well so could this recipe work too? The only thing is that I have only one plastic trey and it only has four molds I don't think it'd be practical

To wait till those four harden to make four more that would just take for ever...

  • @LOVeMuhammad4ever You can =) I just won't recommend metal cookie cutters that are too details... can stick

  • Wonderful! Do you have any books or site you recommend to learn more about making your own skincare products?

  • @lyttleravyn I studied pharmacy so I have an intro to making skincare products but you can always search online how to make certain things and visit the bookstore. I'm starting to learn how to make soap that I just posted.

  • @linamariax3ify the sugar dissolve and a great way to exfoliate with a sugar scrub.. should rinse off to notice a difference =.)

  • won't the candy and the icing make you sticky when you're taking a bath?

  • @linamariax3ify The sugar will act as an exfoliant and humectant that you need to rinse off once done enjoying the bath bomb experience.

  • i just wanna say i love you.you're so cool.you're so talented.may you still continue doing SkinME i would be your number 1 fan <3

  • @mynaughtynice hugs =) Thank you so muchz!

  • This is my favorite series of videos at the moment <3

  • What was the total cost for all this? I'm pretty sure the fragrance oil is a bit more costly than $1.50?

  • @2fast2furiousDevil The essential oil cost me $2.99 and I made 15 of these big bath bombs for a total of $22.50 with the ingredients spent on it.

  • @2fast2furiousDevil The essential oil cost me $2.99 and I made 15 of these big bath bombs for a total of $22.50 with the ingredients spent on it.

  • Can you teach us how to use them? Example for face?

  • @TheJorisSia Bath bombs are meant to take a bath in it. You run warm water to take a bath and drop one bath bomb in to release the skin softener to soak in for at least 20 minutes then a quick rinse to see how soft your skin is. It's like a mask for your body.

  • i found essential oils at hobby lobby for 5.99

  • @jennywestside Whole food are having a sale for $2.99 on citric scent

  • can you use body oil that has fragrance in it

  • @jennywestside yes you can

  • My son has very dry and bumpy skin. I have tried every soap, lotion, and even dandruff shampoo(suggested by Dr.) But nothing has help. These look promising but us there a way he could use them in another form besides bath bombs? He hates baths. Thanks

  • @mardel3 He may hate baths but he will like bath bombs to see the fizzing action. It's like a toy for kids to soak in hehe

  • @thaowendy I made more the other day with family so it's fun activity to do with friends and family too =)

  • @celinangel yummy hehe thanks

  • I was wondering if throwing it in a tub of water with all the candy things on it is okay?

  • @EriCaLROD have you tried sugar scrubs or chocolate mask? Sugar helps exfoliate and moisturize too =_

  • thats so neat

  • @tedoymisojos thank you!

  • Lisa, how do you get rid of your dark circles? You barely have any, if none at all!

  • @hellohello0o00 I get them sometimes depending on my day or lack of sleep but I will post a video on this topic =)

  • this is so cool. I was just wondering how I can afford these expensive bath bombs from LUSH. These make very cute gifts

  • @music2love11 aww thanks and hope you make these

  • I think i added too much witchazel...is that why they're expanding like crazy on the cookie cutter molds???

  • @IMakeBoyzJizz you want the mixture to be dry and not dough like because too much liquid will cause the mixture to expand and fizz too soon

  • Finding citric acid is like mining for gold...I couldn't find it anywhere. Luckily I have Amazon prime and I found it there. Will get it tomorrow...next time I won't wait so long lol

  • i love this soooo much- this is soooo helpful, this is so great for some of my friends whois never heard of bath bombs, thanks so much for making eo, im making it this weekend..oh, yeah, what can i put in there for scent.??

  • @alleymia you can scent it with any essential oil that can be used on the body even green tea to almond.

  • i wanna make this for people for xmas!!

  • woooow!! I really wanna try this one ;) thanks for great video !!

  • This is SO cute!

  • @2:23 did you say blend? So as in mix with a blender? Or an electric mixer? Sorry, if I sound pretty nooby ><

  • @x3Danna blend with your hands to mix evenly

  • @BeautySplurge Oh okay thanks! I so want to try this now :)

  • @BeautySplurge Btw about the citric acid, is there a certain type you should get?

  • @x3Danna it comes in powder to preserve and I suggest a few places in my info box

  • sooo cute... they look yummy.. lol

  • @anneorshine hehe smells yummy hehe

  • I LOVE YOUR DIY VIDEOS!!!

  • @LilMissPerfect120 Thank you =) I have a few more gift ideas to post

  • @BeautySplurge yaaaay that's great to hear

    love u sooooo much :* <3

  • My favorite!!!

  • wow so creative

  • is the citric acid necessary? because i have allllll of the other ingredientsD:

  • @bellsawesome Citric acid makes the bath bomb fizzle and preserve the bath bomb. You can use cream of tartar but it doesn't preserve.

  • Finally got al the ingredients! I am gonna make them right now!

    YAY!

  • @babynajat Have fun and would love to see pics =) I used one yesterday and planning to make more for xmas gifts.

  • @BeautySplurge

I will post the pictures real soon!

OMG! I had some leftover crumbs on the tray

and washed my hands with it.

It did work and left them very soft!!!

Wow, now i have a new hobby thanks to you!!

Love and hugs from The Netherlands xx

  • @babynajat aww so cute!

  • What did I tell you about you being a Fashion and Beauty Scientist? I'm floored..!

    Hugs,

    Lisa

  • that's so lovely <3 gonna try to make one :) thank you so much for sharing such an awesome video

  • Where did you get the little envelopes for the cards? They're so pretty! :) I need to grab some for christmas gifts :)

  • @eskimolipss I made them by printing some graphics on google image and folded the paper into an envelope =) I will post a video on some cute ways to personalize a gift.

  • Is the witch hazel and the citric acid neccisarry?

  • @MrsPwnage10544 citric acid makes the bath bomb fizzle or it wouldn't be a bath bomb. witch hazel astringent evaporates quick compare to water so it doesn't fizzle too quick when mixing. You can use water but I suggest witch hazel because it is easy to make the citric acid fizzle when mixing. Sometimes you don't need witch hazel if you live in a high humid area that can moisten the mixture.

  • @BeautySplurge

    Thanks

  • You are adorable Lisa haha <3

  • @missemsie06 Thank you & I'm 26 =)

  • What a cute idea! Last year I made peppermint bark to give away as Christmas gifts, I think this year I'll try bath bombs! DIY gifts are the best in my opinion. ;)

  • @kmlyle2000 Yum... I can go for some peppermint bark =) Thank you!

  • i hope it does... good luck :)

  • awesome~

  • Wow that is amazing!! How did you come up with that?!

  • @f12x90ash I have eczema and I learned how to make alka seltzer tablets in pharmacy labs that I developed my own bath bomb recipe because oatmeal is amazing for our skin in so many ways =)

  • what exactly is witch hazel???? =/

  • @222littledancer222 I listed everything thing in my info box=) Witch hazel is a natural toner/astringent that can be found at the skin care or first aid area at the store. It will moisten the mixture to slowly react with the citric acid to decrease fizzing.

  • OMGGGGG this is a really good gift idea

  • @Oahifyw I make these often but it's cute to bring out the gingerbread man hehe Thanks <3

  • I LOVE THIS! Very creative!

  • @sr3ypr3shuz85 Thank you and hope you try this out =)

  • Lisa!! U changed ur user name

  • @BeautySplurge Can you purchase citric acid at walmart?

  • @cupcakesnbeauty You can ask the pharmacy at walmart if the carry citric acid. Sometimes it can be found in the cooking area since it's used to preserve food and drinks. I listed a few options in the info box of where you can look for it.

  • Love it! I'm really impressed!

  • @GabrielaPug Thank you =) I used another one yesterday and making more for gifts. Hope you try this recipe out <3

  • AHHH They Are SOOO Cute!!!

  • anyone know where I can buy citric acid?? Walmart? THANKS

  • @beYOUtiful13 go the your pharmacy and ask to for citric acid, The pharmacy uses it to compund things and should carry it or they can order it for you. ALso, a soap making craft store, a place that sells farming supplies, or a wine shop that sells supplies to make wine will have it because it's use to preserve food with canning and drinks like soda and wine. You can also order it online... it's inexpensive. I posted some links in my info box.

  • Sorry I have another question Lisa! Should you put the bath bombs in the fridge to cool or is that not necessary?

  • @violetkiss You don't want to do that. Any humidity can react with citric acid will fizz right away. Let it cool in a dry place.

  • Could you make a DIY bath bomb video for back acne and acne scars? thank you for this awesome video!!! :D

  • @violetkiss Thanks for the request =) I had another lovely viewers ask about skin lightening and you gals gave me an idea to make new recipes for bath bombs coming up

Is the food coloring the part that is going to change your bath color?

Thanks for this awesome idea its a great Stocking stuffer and to use:)

    Jamie

  • @jamiemonroe30 Colorant will give a tint but it won't stain just like store bought bath bombs =) Just make sure to not over do the colorant unless you want a tub full of pink water or something hehe Kids would love that with bubbles. Thank so much for the amazing compliment =) I get exciting sharing my recipes and many more to come.

  • those are really cute ^_^

  • OMG! I was so wanting like this LUSH was getting too expensive! Thank you! Love it!

  • what an awesome idea! believe it or not ive never actually used a bath bomb before so i might just have to try this...(but im still not cutting my own hair haha)

  • So nice? Are you studying for pharmacy by any chance

  • @Coralsilk I was planning to be a pharmacist but had a change of heart in my 2nd to last year in pharmacy school. I miss being creative as a kid so here working towards my dream to help others in the beauty world instead of a clinical or retail setting while being artistic at times=)

  • WOW what a great DIY video!!! thank you so much for this Lisa!!!!

  • Lisa!!! You are a genius!! I love your creative ideas, and what a perfect time for this vid, right before Christmas! Im TOTALLY doing this!!!

  • does it smell nice?

  • @alrightsayyeah the sweet orange smells like starburst candy =) I like anything the smells fruity... basically that smells like food hehe

  • "to make my gingerbread man come aliiiiiiiiive!", lol you're so funny

  • Good job. Thanks.

  • This is awesome!!! Thanks Lisa!!

  • wow this is great! Where did you learn to make this

  • @bluepaperback I was interested in everything about skin when I had pretty bad acne as a teen and pharmacy school helps educate me on ingredients to develop my own recipe. This one was easy because alka seltzer is made with baking soda, citric acid, and either aspirin or acetaminophen that I made my pharmacy lab before =) I tweaked it to use for my eczema ;)

  • Love this DIY!! Thanks so much!! :)

  • thanks this is really helpful. but i think ill be too lazy to make them~~ but GREAT IDEA.

ill probably do it when im bored :P or just the idea of making them pop in my mind>.<

  • awesomee :) thank youuu

  • random, but i have those same measuring cups

  • :O Wow! Thank you! Will be trying these for my Godmothers!

    Coolio idea!

  • this is the BEST DIY idea for christmas! love it!

  • @dlazn Thanks =) I posted a style DIY gift idea if you haven't saw the oversized envelope clutch video.... I love and rock it everyday

  • this is a great video! my only suggestion would be that since the bath bombs will contain whole oats, it may clog the tub. so i would recommend wrapping it in a cheesecloth or inserting one in the good bag for the recipient to place it in there and let it soak. i used to work for Lush and this was recommended to all of our customers who ordered our bath bombs with floaty things in it. Merry Christmas!

  • @saerangkim That's a great tips for most floaty decorations babe! The oatmeal is a great way to exfoliate the dry skin and it will disintegrate with friction. Plus, there is minimal amount of oatmeal in each bath bombs to ever clog the tub from my years of using this for my eczema =) Merry Christmas with hugs!

  • @BeautySplurge That's good to know! I will definitely be trying this out.

  • This is....AWESOME!

  • Really lovely job and fun concept! Continued success to you Doll!

    Crystal

  • @CrysnMakeup Thanks Crystal for the love!

  • wow you are amazing Lisa thnx for sharing x

  • I love this. My daughter has eczema, so this would be a perfect stocking stuffer! :)
