  • the appeal for me of jack whites solos is that they sound unrehersed and in some cases a little sloppy but they usually fit perfectly and beleive me i'd rather have that than like the perfect note for note melody but this time i think he should have rehersed that one a little more. i thnk the problem is that the progression really needs more specific notes than just a pentatonic scale or harmonic minor or what have you i mean big ups it's not bad probably better than i could do but just sayin.

  • This song is terrible!!!!! It needs to be tightened up. Watered down soul. I say ditch the horns, put some fuzz on the bass, get rid of the singer; that brendan dude is borrring. Jack White can prance and posture about as much as he can to make this more interesting but, nope...still sucks. His solo was the one thing that was slightly interesting and saved it. That said, im glad there here amongst the REALLY terrible stuff these days. I just wish they were better..I want them to be great.

  • @flowerdoodle yeah i really care what the guy obsessed with being kenny roger's facial hair thinks. which one is your band? when is your next tour date?

  • @flowerdoodle lol dude, if you do that you will have white stripes! but this is something different

  • @stipeur Yeah, I know. Youre right :) I overemphasize my rants for effect, I guess. Cheers!

  • Whoever doesn't like Raconteurs will always be FOREVER ALONE!

  • Even Keeler is clapping!

  • zero dislikes. fuck yeah

  • Even Jack White know Jack White is not one of the top 100 guitar players let alone 17th

  • @yunwi1 practice can give you speed and technique, but no personality and style. Saludos

  • Jack is probably relieved he doesn't have to sing as much. Instead: "LOL guys, more time to shred!"

  • Did any of ya'll see when they did this on CONAN with the show's horn section? It blew my mind and i saw it like 20 times in a day but then two days later their record company took it down. And i swear it was the best performance of this song ive ever seen, especially Jack's solo. Anywho if you haveseen that performance point me that way.

  • Very Bob Dylany in my opinion

  • I'm one of the biggest Jack White fans of them all. Man crushes all over the map. I still don't believe he is one of the top 100 best guitarists of all time... Musicians? Yes. Top 25 forsure. GUITARISTS? That's a different story.

  • @johnmcnallymusic

    He is...

He had a huge influence with his unique guitar play

  • Rolling Stone's Top 100 Guitarists of All Time:

    #17 is Jack White.

    Fuck yes.

    That is all.

  • @maroon5freak11 I don't get RS's list, ever, they're stupid. How can he go from 17 one year to 70 the next? I gave up on RS long ago, sellouts is what they are.

  • Must be a really hard song to sing entirely !

  • Fact: The entire band is actually gods in disguise.

  • Man, Jack white has such a good ear for tone...

  • LJ's gotta be the most badass dude in music today.

  • Patrick Keeler is a fucking madman!!!!! So awesome. :D

  • I definitely hear it too. I think it is either the effects Jack usually uses,or something to do with the way he plays. And no, I don't mean amazingly, which it is. But I mean his strumming or what he does with his fingers. Some sort of fuzz...

  • @outermostgravy He uses an electroharmonix big muff usa with an mxr micro amp to boost the signal so it doesnt loose its punch on the high end and makes it sound awesome

  • @LazzmantheJazzman sounds like he's using an MXR Blue Box to me

  • The effects Jack uses during his solo blow my mind. Seriously. :O

  • @djbones666 haha what effects?

  • @xorthex I dunno, maybe I'm hearing something else. Anyway, solo is badass either way.

  • what a great song, this isn't a cover is it?

  • anyone know what kind of setup jack's got for this? What kind of head is that?

  • @lutecore Sears silvertone 1465 combo, which is made up of a cab with 6x10 jensen speakers and a 100 watt two channel head. He also uses a fender twin reverb amp.

  • fuck, you can barely hear Jack's solo

  • ah shit i always thought jack white sang this

  • @theoryx413 ha,stupid

  • jack lawrence has a crazy voice. i never knew

  • @EayreVoorhees that's brendan benson

not jack lawrence.. lawrence plays bass

  • @phillipejones11 Yeah dude I know, I meant at like 3:38ish when lawrence starts singing backup vocals

  • @EayreVoorhees

    oh.. my fault

  • LJ isn't using the Rickenbacker 4001. I've never seen him use a jazz bass,.

  • songs not that great to begin with... but maybe I'm just being a bitch about an entire song with no Jack White....

  • huh? Jack is in this band can you telll from his awesome ass in your face guitar solo?

  • @Timeconsumer9 oh, well yeah he's in there... what i meant is: "maybe im just being a bitch about an entire song without Jack White's VOICE"

  • ah yeah true true im with you on tht one...

  • i like this

  • its the culture show.

  • jk
