yea be careful, not because it might be haunted just because there could be animals living in there. on my grandparents property, up by Walsenburg Colorado, we went into an abandoned house that was on their property but a road runner ran out of it and it freaked everyone out
Sometimes these were homes or stores; I found a gas station this year by complimenting a new owner (thought it was a ranch) off of HWY 115 for not tearing down an old relic and fixing it up instead! I wish you would have felt safe and comfortable enough to ask questions as I see you crossed a fence just a few yards off the road. Usually extreme interest in history results in positive interactions unless you happened upon a mean guy there! Do you know where between towns you mentioned?
Thanks for sharing. The closest residence or town that was near this house was more than 50 miles or more away! I think the closest town may have been Deckers. We were coming from South Park, yes the town that is from the cartoon lol.
