  • this was during the golden age of hiphop when hiphop had a message

  • @burnoutxboz...I never mentioned '87. so that's probably why you don't see the point...lol..see my point? but I do happen to agree with you :) peace

  • @wormsofarrakis he wasn't back in '87. and this music is from '87. so i dont see the point. besides lil' wayne always sucked and always have been a sellout

  • saw def jam 87 from 2nd row..had better seats than mike tyson that night..thats a true story..they showed up at the garden in ny uzi down on stage..and said the clan didnt want this concert to happen...but as usual niggas fucked up the evening fighting each other...it's 2011 aint shit changed, but we must try harder to love as a people..maybe one day there will be peace and equality.

  • Just so fucking good, chuck D in ful E FF ECT . LEGEND

  • I believe Chuck D retired. I will still buy there albums if they continued to make songs.

  • Lil' Wayne can't hold Chuckie D's jock strap.

  • CHUCK DROPS MAJOR JEWELS HERE!! CLASSIC RECORD!!!

  • Why can't I find "too much posse" on YouTube? It's the song that comes right after this one on the album. I see the one with Anthrax, but I want to hear the original.

  • Luv this song. Listened to it when I was 15. Luv how his rappin thru wo break n d funny witty lyrics.

  • The guitar and drumbeat is similar to "Fools Gold" by the Stone Roses

  • @slantyrock It's a sample from The Meters' "Just kissed my baby" off of the album "Rejuvenation".

  • @slantyrock both, the guitar and drumbeat are from The Meter's - Just Kissed My Baby. Fools Gold was made two years after Timebomb and it has a drum sample from Bobby Byrd's - Hot Pants (Bonus Beat). Later in 1990. Run DMC sampled the guitar and drums from Fools Gold in their song What's It All About

  • @Dirty4Harri PE was the kings of Samples

  • @slantyrock the drum on fools gold is bobby bird im comin the sample on this is just kissed my baby the meters

  • @slantyrock I think that's the other way around.... boooooyooooo.

  • Respond to this video... I think you mean the other way round booooy!

  • I love this cover, it looks like they're about to go to war and he's reaching for his weapon. . . his decks.

    Powerful stuff.

  • On the original cover they were all reaching for guns. What's this turntable bullshit?

  • @SnappyJones13

I have all PE original vinyls, never saw the one with guns. Please post link of that cover photo if you have it.

I thought, turntables and mics were their guns.

  • @Dirty4Harri right on. No fucking guns!

  • @Dirty4Harri Back cover...it was either the Yo Bum Rush The Show cover or the EP remix record.

  • @Dirty4Harri Dude might be confused with the back cover of Miuzi Weighs a Ton/Rebel Without Pause EP where PE and the posse are in full effect in an underground car park with their Oldsmobiles and plenty of guns!

  • @Dirty4Harri my uzi weighs a ton

  • kudos.....the mic and 1200s WERE their guns. still are

  • @SnappyJones13

    loooool

  • @SnappyJones13 never

  • @SnappyJones13 this is the original cover. are u talking about the single for "you're gonna get yours"? the 98 posse was on there there with their cars..some members holding guns.

  • @SnappyJones13 Jesus, i just noticed that!! Used to have the cassette in the late 80's, yeah there were a load of guns on the table, i don't have it in front of me but yeah, i'm sure of it.

  • @SnappyJones13 you sure it wasnt the BDP album cover for Criminal Minded? There were guns all over the place in that shoot.

  • @ZanzibarJose first "gangsta rap" album ever....and then KRS became the teacher. nonetheless Criminal Minded still kills to this day. BDP forever.

  • @SnappyJones13... Blame the media!

  • i met flavor fla back in 2006 in san franciscio !!!

  • Pop ya tape in, put ya car in cruise.

  • Thanks harri! tHE JAM!

  • PE giving it to ya Hip Hop Raw!

  • groooooooovey!!!!cooool!

  • This song always gets me hype! "Easy on the wall, but hard on the panel"

  • chuck rocked this joint straight through no breaks in the lyrics

  • Thank you for posting this.one of the greatest PE songs of all time!!!!!

  • PE! I had this on vinyl back when I was 15 in 87! We need more Chuck D's and LESS Lil Wayne's!!

  • @panamaniak Chuck is 50, Wayne is 28. The cultural factor's that shaped Chuck as a lyricist are much different from those that shaped Wayne. Plus, when PE made Bumrush the Show, hip hop wasn't even played on the radio, so the artists had a lot more creative control, and less pressure to have chart success. Wayne is, without question, the hardest working rapper of his era. His style, and charisma are phenomenal, even if his lyrical content lacks depth. He's not Chuck D... He's L'il Wayne!

  • @chillemaxmost I kinda agree with you man. All this should be considered in the context of time and circumstances in which it happened.

  • @chillemaxmost how is he the hardest working rapper if he doesnt even make his own beats or take time to write good raps?because he sells a lot of records? hes more like the hardest working advertiser, of shit.

  • @panamaniak Ayo So DId I...Then Rebel Without A Pause Dropped later that year! I was in 9th grade freshman year

  • The Meters...just kissed my baby

  • The Meters...Just kissed my Baby

  • Nice one - I was also looking for this! One of the best raps ever - nothing to touch it.

  • I was surprise few days ago, couldnt find the video so I decided to post it myself. Thanks man. Best!

  • @Dirty4Harri Thank you haven't heard this in a while.

  • @kingrob29 hip hop don't stop!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this song man, there was another video of this but they took it off
