    Yes the most recent build made 794whp/479tq. Not on vitara pistons though.

  • good work! ive been watching these vitara D16s hit crazy figures for the last 2years now.

    im building up DOHC ZC with vitaras and FJ rods myself, being a DOHC im having to machine almost 2mm off the head to get a decent CR and use a Mitsi expo timing belt to take up the slack.

    PS that turbo is huge!

    The turbo manifold is one of our topmounts.

  • what is the purpose of the extra hose going into the valve cover? is it an oil line or something? also, where did you find that golden eagle manifold? i cant find it on their web site lol

    It is for crankcase ventilation. And GE does offer that manifold, we sell them.

    Maybe you should also check out how it performs at the track before hating on the dyno. She runs mid 9's @ 150+mph.

    I have always heard that d16 engines can't rev so high!!

    But really nice numbers!

  • im trying to choose a turbo for my d16z6. srp pistons(overbore), arp rod bolts and headstuds, acl race bearings, eagle rods. im shooting for 300whp. is a garrett t3/t04e .60 compressor AR and .63 turbine side to big? i dont want to wait till 5k+ to be at full boost.

  • A 50 trim T3/T04E .48 a/r would be a good choice for fast spool and still capable of making the power you want.

  • question, going off of a d16z6, using the FTJ/vitara build. What else would I need to go for your kind of numbers? Trying to keep my budget in mind, would I just need those two, fuel injector, turbo and tune? Or what else exactly? Would everything else stock hold up well... Reliably?

  • Those things are all key to making the power, the stock sleeves are going to be the most unreliable component in the long run IMO.

  • Yes, there is some piston noise - nothing to worry about though.

  • did they really use 75 mm piston cause i thought that vitara 75 mm piston were alittle bit smaller then honda sleve and would cause it to piston slap.

  • 57 trim T3/T04E .63 a/r works great to mid 400's on a D16.
