Man, I had this shit stuck in my head for years! I would literally sing this aloud!
It recently got stuck in my head again!
Those were the innocent days of the internet though. Back when I would go on Candystand, and play Age of Empires 2 and Command and Conquer in school after finishing the stupid starter courses we were forced to do. The teacher was a bitch though, if you didn't have your hands set to home row keys she'd kill you.
@MusicReversal aww man i remember those... and the times i would call my friends and only hear on the line the internet's eeeeeeeeeee ERRRRRRRRRRR rAWWWWWRR, and knew they were on the internet. lmao
I remember seeing this commercial well after my family got sucked into (and clawed its way out of) America Online. It was around here where 128k and broadband started catching on further and my response was: "Holy crap, America Online still sells these days?"
I remember this awesome commercial....I was 10 years old in 2001 and that was a loooong time ago hahaha and it was at the time when there was no myspace, no facebook, and no youtube because it was all about chat rooms on AOL lol :)
I can't believe I remembered this tune from 10 years ago! (I was 9 years old) It was just stuck in my head out or nowhere and I just typed in and boom there it was
@whattheheck1000@TheOpenMinded12460 I had fun stomping on, snapping, throwing, etching with a dry and wet bath rough towel, chipping all of my and my friends unwanted AOL CDs! They enjoyed it too! :D We also loved to stab holes in those CD's and leave them out in the hot Summer sun all day, those CDs got all wavy and warped from the heat! That was a LOT of FUN! You should watch the video called, Found an AOL Disk....my favorite part is at 0:15, the person snaps the AOL Disk! Thanks!
@TheOpenminded12460 lol, I used to play frizbee wars with a huge stack of them against m friends in PA when I was a kid, Ah, how i miss those days, when CDs were free and the world was way more innocent than today!!!
I was 9 when this commercial came out. That tune was so catchy I could remember it even after nearly ten years of not seeing this.
What will they roll out after next (after Facebook, Twitter, and G+ all phase out)?

In school we used to do these things called D.O.L.'s it was 5th grade when 7.0 and I always put D.O.L. Version 7.0! <3

The robotic AOL Version 7.0 voice is seared into my memory forever. I grew up with 7.0, was frustrating at times but I had a lot of fun with it.

AOL was the epitome of the 90's. Even in the early 2000's.

Making this commercial didn't take nearly as long as it did to load a site.

I remember when this was the coolest commercial back in the day. Anyone have the 6.0 commercial with the liftoff countdown?

lol just like the ps3 demo ad from the demo disk but instead of rap music and ps3 it's techno music and aol 7.0 XD
