@CalixtaDimond No, they are not playing. Rabbits use their front feet like that as defense and to get rid of an attacker. I have owned rabbits and they do not play like that. When they play it is a lot more gentle then that. A wild rabbits claws can actually tear open wounds like that. I have been scratched by a rabbit that used it's paws like that when it was scared and it bled. They may be in the same group of rabbits and they constantly have fights to be dominate, that is what it looks like.

Yes, it's to do with mating. The one doing the jumping straight up is the female. We have wild rabbits in our yard and the males charge the females and they sometimes jump over a foot high.

They can and do kill each other over territory disputes. They growl, bite (and in trying to break up fights between my domestic rabbits I've taken bites, and they can break skin, and it hurts like hell) and they scream if they start to be injured. My rabbits, after years of trying to bond them still will not bond
