  • @mrprufrock101 Thanks

  • Hi, did you use the drop spindles with the stock beam or did you also use a narrowed adjustable beam?

  • @bicyclemonkey I put a set of EMPI 2 inch dropped spindals on it. I don't believe in the narrowed beam, to rough of a ride for me. Take it easy Pete

  • first let me tell you, that you passion for restoring is admirable, you have a great taste for v.w.s.

I admire the dedication ,and effort you put in your beautiful car,you are a true professionale,

your car worths more than any new bentley to me.

    congratulations again and again.

  • wish i could do my 64 that quick ;-)

  • How much did it cost to restore it?

  • @loveanianimeme total cost was around 4,500.00 not counting labor. Pete

  • What was your paint technology for primer, paint, etc. Inside especially, that looks really good for a part of the car that's hard to buff.

  • Awesome bug! My '63 is going in for a little paint "refresher" in the next couple of months. If I didn't live half a continent away I would definitely bring it to your shop!

  • awesome bug got a 1968 beetle myself. How much should a ordinary paint job with no orange peel the car complete gutted with everything off the car. The only thing that needs to be fixed is dents how much would you say that would be, just from ur experience.

  • Excelente trabajo lo felicito

  • Hermoso trabajo felicidades

  • i love this video, this is my dream(to restore my rusty bug)i have no tools(only the basic)i have no money but i think i can do some good work on this summer...

  • how long did it take you to complete this whole bug from start to finish?

  • @funlovincriminal91 The on frame resto took a little over a month before and after work everyday... Thanks Pete

  • Dude, I live the video and your bug, It has pretty much the same colors as the one i am gonna build.

    Nice job.

  • I actually enjoyed this silent movie AND the music. Lotta work went into that 'ol bug. Good job!

  • Thanks for the comment---It sucks about the music... Pete

  • I'm not sure if I posted this on one of maxwells other vids but a rag top would have really set this car off.

  • because he had 4 different previous paint jobs on him, before I got him.. Cheap paint jobs at that... To much paint to just sand and repaint to a Show Paint Job.... Thanks Pete

  • Awesome job!

  • Great Video, thanks for posting it, gives me hope I can finish mine someday

  • what did you use to strip the paint? awesome bug

  • I know this vid is not one of your new ones but it is way cool, you do these cars tthrough manic hours and mad tiredness but you actually smiled a lot in this vid! So you still got the buzz, which is way cool. A lovely job as always

  • okay answer teh phone when i dial u ok? cuz i have this rumble in the back engine of my bug

  • Im got a 60 beetle on a 70 pan, whats the best type of carpet for the cheapest amount that i should i use?

  • hey your drooped spindels did you drop them 2 inches or 4?

  • Empi-2 1/2 dropped spindals.. These are the only ones to use, because they will line up properly and work just like factory.... Thanks Pete

  • Nice bug I just picked up a 72 beetle that I'm planning on restoring though I have to fix one of the rocker panels it seems those always rust out on bugs.

Too bad Youtube has gotten so anal over copyrighted music in videos anymore.

The abysmal copyright laws in the US esp on derivative works are much to blame for this.

  • Yeah you can say it sucks a big one on the youtube thing...... Good Luck on the 72... Post some videos of as your working on it.... Pete
