Im not able to buy all four sets at once, sadly, so im going to start off with 2 of the 72 sketch. Which are the best two to start with. I was definitely thinking A but im not exactly sure what the second should be. Should I go in order?
I live in germany and I keep on watching english videos cause i'm more comfortable with english and then I end up buying them online and mostly paying more for shipping then for the actual thing and that really su**ks. but I just cant find anything in germany.
@crinwolf Hi, she is referring to those of us who are into 'stamping' images from rubber stamps, then coloring them in with Copics or other pencils or markers. She is directing the video and comments to those of us who make greeting cards or work in scrapbooking. Manga and many artists use Copics without stamps - so no worries if you are in that group! The stamp doesn't apply to you :)
@MsBleachFan101 you could ask one of your parents to get them with their credit card and then pay them the money that you spend from their card :3 this is what im doing anyway oh ! and i suggest you get a COPIC Multiliner also cause what ever ink you use to line your art might bleed into the nib , is so what i heard from someone :3 hope this helps ~~
Thank you! This is the info I was looking for too - just now thinking about whether I need to get into yet another addiction. I'm sure you understand! BTW . . . I can't believe anyone would ever say they dislike this or any other helpful video. Hope you can feel the love of all those who appreciate your time and kindness. :)
Very informative! Be nice to have some Canadian references as well:) we craft over here as well I just started with copic markers and I'm in love! I also enjoy the stampin up markers but for blending by far I'm a copic fan!
@5hatsumi5 Nope, the deisgn of the nibs is so you can actually touch the tip of one marker to the tip of the other marker and be able to wipe itoff easily on a piece of scrap paper.
i was wondering if you knew about bristol paper as im just starting to look into the papers i use (b cus ive gottin used to the copics over the year and have been using printer paper which i know copics hate cus they makes them run out quicker (guilty)therefore would like to treat them to some good paper) + my 15th bdays coming up so i would like to buy some then offline if possible (N.ireland) as i cant find paper tray was wondering if bristols any gd or would white cardstock be better?

Great video, as far as the pronunciation goes I wouldn't really worry as everyone seems to pronounce everything their own way in their own accent. lol
people are soo anal , did I spell it right! who cares!!! Great video "ameribritgal", I have Tombow abt I have only 54 but , love the watercolor effect. i really like copic as well but not avail near me. oh well...
Funny..in germany copic is pronounced the way you said it first :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I´m using the normal copic markers for renderings (industrial design) but I want to try them for some of my stamps too. So thanks for your vids :)
Good tutorial.Good information except that the you CAN airbrush with the original (square) markers. And the stamping ink is NOT MO mento, like 'moment'. It's ME mento. Like 'memory'. Normally it wouldn't matter - lots of people can''t pronounce the word, but you are teaching. and should get it right.
Hmmmmm....I am not sure the square shape would fit in my airbrush system, but I am glad to hear it can be done. As far as the pronunciation of the brand of ink goes, I am sorry that it bugged you.
@ameribritgal LOL! Normally it wouldn't bug me at all. It's just that the brand owners need people who teach and sell the products to say it right so people know what to ask for or search for on the net. As for the original style Copic pens, they are fully compatible with the airbrush system. It's the Ciao and Wide markers that don't work with it. The Ciao's can be made to work but it's not worth the effort if you can get the same pen in Sketch. Which you can. Have a great day
I want to buy one.......Is it available in different countries? I'm from Philippines and I think its going to be tough finding Copic marker here.........
You can get them imported from Japan takes a long time but its well worth it. The markers are not cheap so don't get your hopes up for cheapo price. 70 bucks for a set of 6 copic ciao
that depends on several things. How often you use them and which paper you use them with as some of the papers soak up more ink. I would say that they last quite a while though. I have had mine for almost a year and I am not even close to refilling mine.
here is the deal, the company's American branch pronounces it that way. I am not sure it totally matters. I am sure there are plenty of other things to worry about other than the pronunciation of the word. My husband is British and I have never understood why the way way we pronounce things here bothers British people so much.
Thank you so much for this video!!! You were a great help! Oh and yeah i randomly say copic with the american accent. LOL im sure everyone does when they first hear of them . 5*! XD
at Hobby Lobby or sometimes local art supply stores have them. Online you can buy them at numerous places. I usually buy mine at Carpe Diem, but just google copic and you will find lots of places.
I would guess you could use it for anything. As a paper crafter I use it quite a bit because it is great paper. If you are going to draw and color in with copics I would use the copic multiliner. That way the color will not bleed.
No, they would not work well at all on one of those book as the paper is usually not thick enough. Although, if you have one that has very thick paper give it a try.
there expensive because there that damn good. alot of the pro comic use them. and there easy to blend and shade with. its all about skill and people use them in different ways. its not just an investment, its smart and worth the investment. if ur the craft type then i wouldnt use copic.
ummmm....I guess it depends on the type of crafting, but as an artist you should not limit yourself. I think it is silly to think that these markers are just for Anime or Comic books. Especially when the women who is certifying copic designers all over the US is a paper crafter.
Hey, I'm a copic user as well. I've been using them for about a month and I've gotten pretty descent at them. It's so nice to see another copic user. I use mine for manga creations because I'm a comic book artist. But, it's awesome to see "stampers" use them as well. These markers are great and anyone can use them. Oh yeah, ciao markers work in the airbrush thing, btw, add a foamy on the airbrush and vualla!! If you need any help or tips on getting more out of your markers, ask me.
They are mostly used for Comic Books, that's why many think so. And it's true, those are it's main uses, but, ya never know how things go in the world of art, people can find amazing uses for other materials. Also, Copic Designers are not paper crafters.
Hey!! This is GREAT!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I'm really looking forward to learning about these from and with you. I have about 10 of these markers, loveLoveLOveLOVeLOVE them... but I don't know much about them.
Thank you for the information you have now been ear marked, and now I won't be wasting my money buying the sets, I'll do as you have buy three closely shaded. Looking forward to the next video. TFS
Great video! I use Gina K and love it. It doesn't bleed through like the others do and I get a really smooth effect on it. Looking forward to your next video!

It doesn't really matter how you pronounce copic I pronounce it like cohpeec which is rather amusing OTL;
I personally use my copics for manga illustrations. Which they are great for :D
Sketches are the best overall :) ciaos are just like sketches except they're round& they hold less ink. I love my ciaos though.
I think another important thing to discuss is the colorless blender
Your accent is adorable btw ♥

blueverry27 2 years ago
I buy stamps and stamp them myself. My stamps are usually purchased from Unity, Close to My Heart, SU!, or Hero Arts.

there expensive because there that damn good. alot of the pro comic use them. and there easy to blend and shade with. its all about skill and people use them in different ways. its not just an investment, its smart and worth the investment. if ur the craft type then i wouldnt use copic.

ummmm....I guess it depends on the type of crafting, but as an artist you should not limit yourself.
