@CrimsonRefractions lol yep. How embarrasing for "lord" monckton. Not only is he a liar when it comes to climate change, but he's also a liar when it comes to his own career.
the various author's opinion on the state of affairs of global warming is irrelevant. What does interest is what the actual papers are saying about the temperatures in the world. Unless you go ahead and show that those graphs are misinterpretations on the part of mr Monckton, then he is free to use them the way he fits best. Opinion aint science.
The original video watch?v=stij8sUybx0 time index 28:30, this video 0:00, & the rebuttal video /watch?v=u-JnSzHrmmE.
The paper quoted by Abraham is a one year study & the graft from a pier reviewed paper used by Monckton over 30 years. How can a one year study trump a 30 year study even if it is newer? It cannot. Climate change is long term happening over many decades.
@steam0001 It's quite simple for those without an agenda. Increasing global temperatures mean greater ice melt. Less and fragmented sea ice means this predator and it's cubs are more frequently having to swim longer distances in search of food. This increasing selection pressure will result in more polar bear deaths. In particular where weaker animals are exposed to high seas in storm conditions.
@djarm67 Who doesn't have an agenda? Name me one person in this whole wide world who doesn't have an agenda? I have an agenda, you have an agenda, everyone has an agenda. Our agenda's should be based on a search for TRUTH. That is what is important.
You are likely correct that weaker animals maybe effect by longer swimming distances. Is that not how nature works? Those animals that can't adapt die & those that can carry on. Remember that polar bears have survived much warmer climates in --->
Warmer global climates maybe, but that doesn't mean they didn't have to change habitat and it doesn't mean their population didn't bottleneck. This claim also fails to infer the previous rate of climate transition which is important because Polar Bears are a relatively recent divergence from a brown bear clade.
@steam0001 Read this paper "Polar Bear Distribution and Habitat Association Reflect Long-term Changes in Fall Sea Ice Conditions in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea - Jeffrey S. Gleason, Karyn D. Rode"
@steam0001 Read this paper "Observations of mortality associated with extended open-water swimming by polar bears in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea - Charles Monnett and Jeffrey S. Gleason"
@djarm67 A good suggestion. It would be interesting to see how many more facts in the papers disagree with the conclusions that the authors of said papers come to. After all Monckton has shown us one graph that contradicts the conclusion that the author came to.
@steam0001 Sounds like your just determined to believe Monckton is right no matter how many ways hes debunked. I will know not to mess with you anymore after refusing to accept any evidence not given by munckton.
@waltermh111 Sounds like your just determined to believe Abraham is right no matter how many ways he is debunked.
Now if that doesn't sound like a valid thing for me to state then I hope your honest enough to realize that it was not a valid thing for you to state.
Go back to the original video, view Monckton's rebuttal videos & you will see it is Abraham that make major errors & falsehoods.
@DasHortH What is wrong with you? Look just open the original video in one tab, this video in another tab, & Monckton's rebuttal video in another tab. Watch them, compare them. Go over them a few times if you have to. You will see, if you have any eye for truth at all, that it is Abraham that makes errors & some cases out & out falsehoods. This has been around for awhile now & it is blatantly obvious that Abraham is in the wrong.
It's not that he isn't interpreting it correctly, it's that he's a fucking liar. He lies about everything, from false quotes, to lying about being a science advisor to Thatcher.
@clownpenisfart Researchers get lots of emails all the time. Some are good at responding; some aren't. I have emailed professors about certain topics and have received similar emails. He referred him to some one still active. no big deal. Monckton cried foul because the source was not an author. But Schweingruber referred him. I don't know much about Monckton but he is clearly a lying prick and has backtracked so many time on things he said you'd couldn't tell his head from his ass.
The best part of this is that Abraham, like any good researcher, actually goes to the primary sources! Not only does he find the articles, but he actually contacts the authors! Fucking hilarious.
Didn't the house of lords recently release a statement in which they said that mr. Munkton was in fact NOT a lord?
