first time i hurd as i lay dying was probably 6 years ago i think not sure but i was in germany an watchin headbangers ball an the video 94 hours came on an i was fuckin hooked ever since that song an because of that my passion for music has evolved into somethin else today that i couldnt b more gratefull for because u guys helped me get into other awesome bands and genres, so thanks for bein awesome!!! happy 10 years!

I have been listening to this band only since last may but I instantly loved their music and bought their cd's. I have been listening their music non-stop since I found 'em and I'm also making good progress learning their songs on guitar x) I really wished I had found this band much earlier because the music that they do is unbelievably epic!

But I also want to mention something else I've been feeling recently about Metalcore... it seems like we already have all the good metalcore bands established...

I've checked out a few brand new metalcore bands recently and they all just severely lack something , something I can't put my finger on...

Bands like AILD , KSE , Miss May I , TDWP etc carrying on may be the only hope for metalcore ... because the brand new upstarts in the genre certainly are not doing it well enough...

Sure I had heard stuff like Disturbed & Slipknot on the radio before that or lighter metal like A7X or Ozzy, but I heard "Through Struggle" by AILD on Headbangers Ball on MTV2 and it was a whole other thing

AILD might maybe be my 1st heavy band , it could have been Children of Bodom or Lamb of God , not sure.. I think they honestly all happened at the same time for me... but I did buy AILD albums before those guys
