Entri e stai nel tempo di ogni fraseggio con un timing allucinante.Hai un ritmo strepitoso su ogni nota che suoni,e questo và al di là di qualsiasi questione su "cuore,emozione" e quant'altro. Adoro il modo in cui misceli Inside ed Outside.

QUESTO rappresenta il modo in cui vorrei saper davvero suonare: se non avessi letto tu sia autodidatta,non ti avrei creduto neanche tra 20 anni..incredibile !!

Ad "istinto" si suona il clascon a manetta quando ci si trova imbottigliati nel traffico sull'autostrada.. -.- Credo che neanche Pat Metheney possa sapere quali note precise stia suonando ogni secondo(dovrebbe essere una macchina e pensare tipo:sollasidomifarefadiesis alla velocità della luce.. -.-). La teoria che c'è dietro ogni lick, però, fa in modo di farci ricordare in che posizione esatta sta ogni intervallo senza nemmeno guardare.

Il materiale che ho usato per fare roba del genere come 0:22-0:24/1:40-1:50 (i quali mi permetto,nel mio piccolo,di considerarli miei lick ricavati da anni passati sui dischi di Ford,Clapton,Henderson) si chiama "come imparare a suonare con gli altri musicisti piu esperti di te senza stare a casa a scaricare lezioni" :-)

Scherzi a parte,basta sapersela cavare con le modali,giocare di cromatismi e ricavare qualcosa di personale dagli arpeggi che tutti conosciamo .

ahauahauah se sei riuscito a imparare le modali semplicemente suonando con dei musicisti più bravi di te sei veramente un fenomeno, ma non me la bevo..per sapersela cavare con le modali bisogna quantomeno provarle a casa per conto proprio, e serve un'infarinatura di teoria, che tu hai dato che parli di modali e cromatismi :)

are you mixin the C pentatonic and C mixolydian ?

This is simply my personal approach to the pentatonic/dominant scale: they are my own personal licks which i use for mixin' blues scale(5b,2# and 3) with dorian one and pentatonics. Just adding at all some chromatics/outside notes(2b,6b example from 0:22 to 0:24).

che scale stai usando oltre le penta?

In realtà non sto usando "scale".

Ho smesso di ragionare in termini di pentatoniche e scale in generale.Pertanto,faccio riferimento agli arpeggi ed agli intervalli.

Qui poi aggiungo semplicemente dei cromatismi(flatted 9,flatted 3 e 3 naturale insieme,flatted 5 e sharped 5....) per andare "out" leggermente,cosi da suonare "out" ed "in" quasi contemporaneamente.

Ma è una mia strana abitudine "fusion":prendere con cautela ed a piccole dosi.Tenere lontano dalla portata dei bambini.. -_-'
