Actually, upon doing further research, you can use either mylar or just a plain white sturdy surface. If you find that using mylar makes it too hot, using just a plain white surface helps :)

I use Tyvek Homewrap, great reflection, not very breathable though, so maybe an oscillating fan to cycle in new CO2 for the plants.

Oh and why would anyone dislike this??

Ahh, mylar is a great idea. I'll file that one away for use next time. :)

You should use mylar, not aluminum :)
