2. I don't like how each specialty has to have their own little character. i.e. private practice is fully of snobs.

3. The gyno doctors aren't like that in any way.

4. Unfortunately people believe these representations and take it to heart.

OB is really strenuous when you start out. You work like 80 hours a week and can be called to the hospital at any time.

Okay, please forgive my ignorance, but I was under the impression that doctors made pretty good money starting off. In this show, even after they've been doctors for 6-7 years, none of the characters are very wealthy. Can someone explain? Is it only private practice doctors that make big bucks?

@devadasi well u gotta take into account all their loan student and med school loans probally about a million or so now days and they are also working at a public hospital not a private one

@warhawk5020004 a million is an exageration but yea theyre probably 200,000 in debt and probablymore if they needed loans for their undergrad and doctors dont make alot of money till they're attendings
