Yes, God DID create evil. He created the tree of the knowledge of good AND EVIL. But contrary to this theologians claim, God CAN create evil and STILL not be evil. How? Yes, Satan was sent by God to bring evil on Job, but ultimately it was God's doing. God creates evil. God originates evil. It doesn't MAKE him evil because it's ALL for a purpose. In this case, Job's ultimate blessing.

God creates evil through punishment or curses, it is never of himself but described as a verdict against sinners in the old testament. And he also not created it by allowing freewill. Evil is not a substance but an imperfect action. Evil was and will never be his plan.
