or better said... strike was the prototype and impulse was the improved though hardly finished product... i still stand by my comment that impulse is and will always be something that zaft build based on data they had about the strike and just added in a little special tetris combining action in mid air to make it look special even though it looked cool u gotta see the real picture for what it is... an improved strike with a zaft decal on it's ass
If the Strike is a modular original Gundam, then the Impulse is a modular Victory Gundam. That's how I view it. And the packs are awesomer on the Impulse. Giant beam helicopter rotor, flight pack that isn't shit, even more kickass cannon...I wonder if they made an IWSP type of pack. I loved that thing in J, it turned the formerly "why do I have to put up with this" Strike into a fairly competent machine for Cagalli cause it looks terrible on the Rouge.
@NegativeSquad can't deny the fact that impulse has the same mechanism as strike (being the different packs to mount onto the gundam) the only thing that defines impulse as original is the core splendor and combining of the chest flyer and leg flyer into on gundam... i must admit that looked sweet but in it's compleet stage i toke the same design as strike but to a slightly higher lvl meaning more decent packs and better performance all around wich is why i'm saying that the impulse is a rip off
But it also shows how in-your-face the graphics are in SRW Z. Its cool, but it scares me a little seeing Shinn's face attack the screen with a look of murderous intent on his face. Yea, I'm a wuss, I know.

Wow, you really did your best in matching the OP's scenes with game footage, kudo's to that!
I really love the Beam saber parry part with the Impulse and the Freedom. It must have been very hard to capture that scene,!
