Yes he is a very good and fast player, but had he been around in the 70's??. That's exactly the point. Impossible.

Without Jimi Hendrix and lots more (Michael Hedges too) to open the way for him, he would never play like that.

He took a lot of techniques from other players and made em his own, which is a great thing.

That's why Jimi and innovators in general are tops. They open paths for followers to walk on.

imo he is a little redundant but certainly an outstanding rock-bluesman.

One of the greatest guitar solos ever.  Actually, let's just say it is the best ever. It's make even Segovia jealous, if that's possible.

It should've been recorded hi-def. Hopefully some technical people remaster this recording, making it available in hi-def equivalent.

This is the first version of his interpretation I heard, and also the first I ever heard him play anything; it certainly opened my ears. At the time it was a case of the best unknown guitarist in the world playing the best unknown guitar in the world, an Alvarez branded Kazuo Yairi (half the price of Taylors, Martins, Collings, etc.).
