  • Will. Not. Comment. On. Lisp. Sorry, that was mean. Great advice though, especially the putting time aside bit, that's the part I have trouble with.

  • Give me a hero, i'll write you a tragedy

  • i get inspired by songs when im ready to write, diffrent songs have diffrent emotions so that helps a lot then it all just comes to me and i can write a short story in less then an hour(: if you want to read one of my works just message me i'd love to share it with anyone

  • Having good private time is essential.

  • For me, the difference between a writer and an author is the ability to listen and take criticism, and therefore improve. This is good beginners advice, but the part about shutting doors and being closed off has it's problems: lack of inspiration. Even he said it takes an hour to put down 1 word. I figured he know the secrets to breaking writer's block.

  • Good advice, I think.

  • Thank you immensely for being the only person who's offered some marginally decent tips/advice!! I truly appreciate it! :)

  • the hardest part of writing for me is just making myself sit down and write. i get all excited about this new story idea and i talk and talk about it and sort through potential cover art and write teasers and stuff, all the while expecting magical elves to just show up one night and write the story for me.

  • @emilyfaithbailey Lmao! I know that this comment (yours) is sort of old, but I just had to reply to it XD. I'm writing a new story right now, while I'm also writing about 3-4 others. I'm planning everything I can out just so I don't have to start yet. I'll make list of titles and everything. Sometimes you start to wish that everything you think just magically appears on paper...

  • @emilyfaithbailey About every writer goes through that phase in the early stages of their hobby/career. It takes time to develop that passion for writing. If you are truly a writer, the urge and desire to sit down and write will come after experience. Right now, you just need to force yourself to write. Later, that writing experience will have taught you your distinctive style and strongpoints. You'll want to write more because you'll know how to actually write it out now. Good luck!

  • @emilyfaithbailey You should get a speach recorder, don't write record edit publish.

  • this was helpful, thank-you. just subed.

  • For printing a limited run book, I would suggest the ClickBook software. It will print books of any size. From cute doll books to full-sized books on any printer. Even prints in signatures.

You can get it from ClickBook (dot) com

    or from

    BlueSquirrel (dot) com

  • @Rozyonnie okay you made a solid point.

  • @Rozyonnie clearly you know nothing about writing. you don't always write something to have it read. sometimes you just write it so you can get the voices out of your head so you can finally get some sleep.

  • i just jizzed

  • very simple and beautiful advice. but i dont want to teach, i want to show and inspire.

  • This is dumb advice. You don't write to be shocking or to inspire others. Writers write for themselves first and foremost. With this advice, it acts as if you have to "give" something to the reader when in fact you don't owe them anything.

  • @sexytubes if your readers don't glean anything from your writing, why bother asking anyone to read it?

  • Very good advice

  • i wish he would have wrote what he said cause i cant stand listening to this cat talk

  • Brilliant!!

Have been inspired by the new on-line publishing phenomena and have put together a few articles about this very subject. This guide is totally free so please request this at book-publishing.jimdo.com/contact/

  • Thats very good advise. I have a book published but am trying to find a better publisher for the secound book. Most of my work is to entertain. I also shock people.

  • @eldreamo76 Oh the rapid moving waters of change! How they move, swift, and sure!

  • @eldreamo76 you sure showed him.

  • perhaps the most important thing anyone ever told me regarding creative writing: "you need to find your voice". Took me another 12 months to understand that, but I'm beginning to find it now. Both in my art and my writing.

  • awesome discussion going on in here guys.

  • @johnmonk66 wow John, for a gay writer, you come off quite aggressive. Do you have kids? I hope not. At least I hope they don't know what youtube is. You're a grown man coming off as an immature prick. You're old, pathetic and sad and I imagine if you do have kids, they're not with you anymore. Get back under your bridge you ignorant troll.

  • retard from uk don't even know he is a freaking limey, more proof this guy is the dumbest shithead ever to come to youtube, congrats moron, you are now the dumbest shit on youtube

  • little angry limey gets mad when his daddy shoots his load all over his ass, little limey too lazy to make a youtube video of his own, he just joins to insult, he is the biggest douche in the world, little limey with his ass made sore by his daddy and uncle bob

  • @eldreamo76

  • pretty generic, it's like giving spiritual advice by saying 'be nice to people'
