the notes are ok and your technique is good, but the soud of the violin is really odd (sorry), i don't know if it is because the camera or the bad quality of your violin. anyway i really like this song and i think it is hard to play transmitting passion..

I agree. It is much harder to make a decent sound on the violin than piano. But after started to learn the cello, I find cello even harder to play than violin! Anyways, I just recorded Princess Mononoke Theme on the violin too. Care to check it out?? :-)

Being a pianist, I know where you guys are coming from. It definitely is harder to play the violin. It's mainly because not only do you have to know how to make the notes (with a piano, they're all right there), but the placement of the bow is difficult and crucial. Although, each instrument has it's easier and more diffcult side.

do you play the violin? its quite hard to get the hang of, as you have to focus on so many things at once, although it might not seem that way watching it. and vibratto (that shaky thing she did with her left wrist as she played) is tricky to learn. i play piano, guitar, saxophone and violin, and violin is defiantley the hardest to play.

Most of your notes are on key, but you sometimes end them too early. Some need to last longer. And also, like personajxt said, try to play more fluidly and smoothly. Other than that, good job. Keep practicing ^^.

It was out of tune in several places. Bowing technique was scratchy, needs more pressure on bow so it doesn't skip as much. Practice so you can make a note last longer, you're running out early. Make up bows and down bows more smooth, right now it's too obvious when you change. String crossing had way more motion than needed. Play out a bit more, solo pieces need you to have confidence. Don't play so stiffly either, be more fluid, so it looks and sounds better. Just my 2 cents worth.

you might want to try to do it with the recording... or get somebody for accompaniment. You play well, but the sound quality of the recording plus the fact that you're recording violin alone can really get annoying, lol. Good luck!
