I think Stratocaster bridge pickups in general sound brighter than the Telecaster ones. The Telecaster ones sound twangier but fatter than Strats' ones.
These two guys are the luckiest fukers on the planet! They get to fuck just muck around on some of the rarest, best sounding vintage guitar gear on the planet!
@muscletruckdude broadcaster was the first name of the telecaster but then fender had to change the name due to copyright laws and during the time of renaming it there were a few with no name dubbed the nocaster. same guitar, just different generation and age. hope this helped
@muscletruckdude the label, theyre the same thing. fender had to change the name to telecaster because i think gretsch had a drumset named broadcaster and there was a lawsuit forcing leo fender to change the name
i hate esquires.the neck and body feels great, but one pickup just isnt my thing.Plus on most stock 52 reissues, the neck pickup sounds like you have the tone turned down with a pillow over the amp.
I know, whats the point. Its kinda like the deryk whatever and avril lavigne squier teles (both complete shit guitars and guitarists),I says alot whaen your signature guitar is a squier,Im not saying squiers are bad,but most people that have a signature model by them are.
yep. the ashtray is just for looks. Originally I believe it was supposed to also eliminate some humming from the pickup, but I don't think it worked hehehe, aldo you can't palm-mute the strings when using it.
by the way, you can buy the ashtray cover from online music stores.

Ya I'd hate to have a guitar that only has one choice for pickups.

Haha ya, ugh. I learned my first few years on a squire strat. Never again. But MAN, Carl is great.
Fishies125 3 years ago
Although these guitars aren't squires. The esquires are SO much better and older.
Fishies125 3 years ago
I don't think I've ever seen Carl sweat so much playing as he does on some of those tricky pedal-steel licks.
