So looks like the next few years the Americans will still be on top, they always have been post WW2. Lets grow up guys. IAF is well past Pak air forces. Time to tackle China and Pak together along with protecting the Indian Ocean. India is on the right path with a very transparent defense program. Rafale, Su30MKi and Tejas will make up IAF fronts. Given we shall be able to mass produce Tejas, even countries with stealth tech will think twice before entering Indian air space. Well, IAF will have that too, but it wont be a limiting factor.

You put enough Raptors in the air to act like snipers & that's what I meant. Until they ran out of AMRAAMs & have to mix in close up & personal with Sidewinders or cannon, it's an unfair fight. One Raptor can act as a lookout while giving all target info to the rest of them else where vie data link.

However, they learned to catch up really quick later on. The quality of training of Indian AF pilots really surprised those Eagle boys. It validates the value of training with your friends who're flying different kind of jets. The Indian Air Force Su-30s were really well flown.

It's kind of nice to be nearly invisible to radar, but at great cost & I wonder for how long. Sooner or later someone (most likely the Russians) will find a way to defeat STEALTH. Lets grow up guys. IAF is well past Pak air forces. Time to tackle China and Pak together along with protecting the Indian Ocean. India is on the right path with a very transparent defense program. Rafale, Su30MKi and Tejas will make up IAF fronts. Given we shall be able to mass produce Tejas, even countries with stealth tech will think twice before entering Indian air space. Well, IAF will have that too, but it wont be a limiting factor.

I am not Chinese but I acknowledge their capability to make stuff fast. In last 10 years, it has made things that took decades for other countries to make.
The only thing is Chinese won't be exporting J-20s anytime soon since they are big and expensive and most certainly not to Pakistanis who are unable to even buy old F-16 now without aid.

You put enough Raptors in the air to act like snipers & that's what I meant. Until they ran out of AMRAAMs & have to mix in close up & personal with Sidewinders or cannon, it's an unfair fight. One Raptor can act as a lookout while giving all target info to the rest of them else where vie data link.

However, they learned to catch up really quick later on. The quality of training of Indian AF pilots really surprised those Eagle boys. It validates the value of training with your friends who're flying different kind of jets. The Indian Air Force Su-30s were really well flown.

@indidesidude USAF seems to favor high (F-22), Low (F-35) combo. Like the old F-15 & F-16 combo teaming up together. F-35 is a single engine type & should be cheaper & more economical to operate. It's kind of nice to be nearly invisible to radar, but at great cost & I wonder for how long. Sooner or later someone (most likely the Russians) will find a way to defeat STEALTH. It's just a matter of time.
