My biggest problem with bills like these are it doesn't attack the problem. Twenty years ago we would not have needed a bill like this.

This is a reaction to bad parenting and bad government that is just going to throw more money at a problem without resolving anything. I agree strongly that the Bush Administration misused the situation in Irag for their own financial gain, but the contrast brought up by Ms. Pelosi, in my opinion does not seem to offer a good alternative. The comparison made is that

40 Days in Iraq = 10,000,000+ children insured for over one year

which sounds awsome but, that is not saying each child will be taken care of, it only states that an insurance company will could recieve a one years worth a payment for 10,000,000+ children
