  • Because I can't tell the difference between the different types of edible plants, I just say "plants". "Legumes", "melons", "grains" be damned.

  • frozen blueberries + non-dairy milk = best breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

  • Nice vid Kevin

  • Vegans one important thing Kevin talked about is your omega 3 fatty acids. Flax seeds, walnuts, and other healthy fatty non-animal products mostly only contain ala fatty acids and not your other two main acids epa and dha which can be found mostly in fish. But good news vegans dha is on the rise in alot of foods but epa is tougher to find. Recently a couple of supplement companies that carry both epa and dha in a vegan capsal. Guess where the fish get there epa and dha? Thats right algae.

  • I am new vegan! :) I changed my lifestyle after watching "if slaughter houses had glass walls ..." and doing some research about how bad all meats are for you! Anyway, I passed straight through being a vegetarian and went directly into being a vegan! Yes, it disgusted me that much! So my question is what vital vitamins does a vegan need outside of produce? I know one is b12, but do you suggest a shot or pill form?

  • Haha you're adorable! I've been vegan nearly seven years and got my blood tested in the last year to find out that everything looked pretty snazzy except my iron levels. I've started taking a vitamin called "Blood Builder" by Mega Food Co. and I've been bruising a lot less and feeling more energized. Regardless of your diet, I feel like it can be difficult to get every vitamin you need without taking supplements, especially with such busy lives that we lead. I highly recommend Vega as well!

  • Hey im vegan. Sometimes its really hard geeting all my veggies and fruits in my diet daily. I order products once which are vegan products to help me along with my journey. if your interested please get back in touch with me

  • Be careful with that soy. Its pretty much toxic in its raw form and a lot of very nasty solvents are used to defat it for the supplement industry. If you can't eat it raw in its natural form, then your probably should not eat it.

  • the cause of veganism would do better without sell outs involved like drama queen Joshua Katcher, who was paid mega bucks to promote Lord and Taylor (a company selling fur) yet he harasses old women wearing it.

  • Would you suggest using frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries) I don't have a lot of time to get fresh produce all the time so something I can have in the freezer would be great.

  • @FtRapture

Hey im vegan. Sometimes its really hard geeting all my veggies and fruits in my diet daily. I order products once which are vegan products to help me along with my journey. if your interested please get back in touch with me

  • why to become a vegan and have all this extra cost to get what you need to be alive?

  • @Hakunushi My grocery bill has dropped over $100 from starting a vegan lifestyle.

  • you're cute, finding cute vegan guys where i live is hard, they are all hippies

  • Hey, I have to say this is one of the very best videos about vegan diet and bodybuilding. Im a Vegan and started to workout a while ago.

What i really want to say is, that its so great to finally see somebody else who doesnt look like a vegan stereotype. When I meet new people nobody believes me that Im vegan^^

Keep going and greetz from Germany

  • thanks, uber helpful :)

  • Great Video and good info for all the uneducated people who say eat meat you need protein

  • Awesome Video! I am a naturally very thin girl and everyone always thinks its because I'm vegan, (high metabolism runs in my family). So people don't believe me when I say you can gain muscle when on a vegan diet. Too bad you can't magically show up so I can say 'Ha! told ya so!"

    lol

  • @peaceinsanedude Hey im vegan. Sometimes its really hard geeting all my veggies and fruits in my diet daily. I order products once which are vegan products to help me along with my journey. if your interested please get back in touch with me

  • I don't agree about the soy protein, lots of studies show soy is very dangerous to human health. I'm also vegan and take no protein supplements whatsoever, every single plant contains proteins and even if they aren't complete with a varied diet they complete themselves in your body. I also workout and make rapid progress even being vegan with no protein supplements whatsoever.

  • great video. cheers!

  • I know the video is older now and hope this finds you still working out and maintaining your diet.

    Say hello to Max.

  • did you go veg before you went vegan?

  • One of the best books I have ever read is Fit For Life. Read it.

  • Keep fighting the good fight, Kevin!

  • Keep fighting the good fight, Kevin!

  • Great video man! Been vegan for 4 months, deployed in Kuwait, so this helped!

  • soy protein promotes estrogen in men...

  • @tennowns congrats, men have estrogen anyway you fucking idiot.

  • thank you!!

  • I'm sure quinoa contains all essential amino acids too. Some people are allergic to soy* but as long as you eat a variety of foods, you don't need to eat a 'complete protein' source. Your body will 'mix and match'.

Some people call this 'soya' (as I do).

  • Great advice <3 thanks for the vid...VeganGirl....:p

  • thx!

  • Hi there,

It's so great to see a bulked up male, who is obviously very comfortable with the way he is and his diet choice and showing so much compassion in his lifestyle SO THANKYOU! As someone who just recently turned vegetarian and heading towards veganism it is so refreshing to see there are compassionate males out there who are still masculine. I'm from Australia and it seems every guy I come across feels it is not manly to not eat meat and have very opposing views to a plant based diet!

  • I like your video except.... SOY?????? come on man, you must know that Monsanto owns 90% of all soy seeds in the world and they are all GMO!!!!!!! (the 10% they dont own is in some remote place in China). Use almond milk!

  • Great video I have been a vegan since 2006 and i feel great

  • Do you have vegan super powers?

  • This is awesome! I have been trying to be a Vegan for a long time so I am very inspired! :D

  • Hey man,

You seem to pay a lot of attention to what you eat so props for that. Have you read the China Study by Dr. T Colin Campbell and son? Its known as the most comprehensive study on nutrition ever conducted. Every vegan should read it. My whole family went vegan after reading it and I just finished taking a plant based nutrition class based on it. I'd be interested to see what you think of this book!

  • Do not take this as ripping on the video, but you should REALLY do a little more research on the products you tout in the video. As you say, you need to stay away from "processed" foods, but the first thing you talk about is soy. Which is so highly processed it is horrible for the body. 95% of all your soy is GMO, they genetically modify the soy with a gene to make it resistant to Round up, and then proceed to spray it with toxins. Do your homework on what you eat, and eat natural foods.

  • Have you tried freezing your tofu then defrosting it? This will change the texture. Also have you tried Naked Juices Blue Machine? It contains a lot of essential vitamins. Tom's Products Rule.

  • fyi you will find my fb page by looking me up kristina gonzalez-barker. I am the only one. I really appreciate your help. Take care. :D

  • I saw some terrible videos that peta put out about how animals are treated, that are bred for slaughter. It broke my heart. I am not sure about the vegan way of life, but I think I definitely am interested in a vegetarian lifestyle. I just don't know where to begin. I have 4 children and a husband that love love love meat, and I don't know how to change my family from being meat eaters, to being vegetarina. kristinabarker@yahoo.com. Please help me out. I am on fb as well. HELP. :D Thnx

  • some toothpaste contains calcuim as an abrasive. this usually means crushed up animal bones eww

  • Thank you very much for the extensive and practical information in this video. Your approach to veganism is very 'real'. Thank you for detailing the nutritional and finess aspects involved in veganism.

Much appreciated - I highly enjoyed your video. Thank you

P.S: Your dog is so adorable!

  • lol good luck b12

  • Kevin, thanks for your videos. I recently went back to my vegetarian diet and I needed some encouragement! thanks again!

  • what shoes dont have leather?

  • Way to go, vegan friend! You look awesome!

Thanks for sharing your buff, kind self with the rest of us:)

  • WATCH "EARTHLINGS" PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • St. Ives also has lotion and body wash that doesn't contain animal ingredients, nor do they test on animals (=

  • haha your dog was growling at all the animal eaters near the end.

  • i just wanted to say that it is so refreshing to see a vegan man! You display your info wonderfully and are very informative! Great job on the video! I wish there were real men like you in my area. ^.^

  • BREATHARIANISM on this playlist: p=6B91A074B5DB3122 (paste it in the search) with many individuals on the planet saying the human body does not need food, and at a higher level even water when one puts their body in a strict cycle of exercise, yoga, qi gong, tai chi, breathwork, etc. These are normal people like you and me from all around the world not just yogis in the east anymore. This is the dawn of the new age whether you believe it or not, but if it resonates with you, get the word out!

  • dont get your b12 from redbull. The reason it has b12 added is because it also has something else that destroys b12 in your body. Dont remember what it was.

  • Vegan love:)

  • AMAZING VIDEO!

  • Kevin! I loved your video about going Vegan..I am trying to go from Vegetarian to raw Vegan..Tried to find you on Facebook, couldn't..I am an animal rights activist and I have a CD out dedicated to animal rights. I'm also an artist..My website is karenwallo . c o m I just created a youtube acct and have a video of me singing Silent Night for an audtion for Susan Boyle..Not real familiar w/ communicating on youtube..Hope to hear from you!

  • i agree vegan is the best way to eat, the only vitamin you really would need is b12 because the soil is so overworked that plant sources don't have enough b12. but I definitely believe that humans are intended to eat a whole food plant based diet. the China study is good book that has numerous studies on why eating animal products are not healthy~erica

  • I don't understand how u can live like this no meat no eggs no milk omg :S . But it's good more food for me less for the animals :D

  • Try HEMP

  • 40 Year old vegin xD

  • I am a Registered Dietitian and am glad to see that you have done the research on how to properly and safely follow a vegan diet. Some people decide to try it and are unaware of the dangers of depriving their bodies of vital nutrients. I personally will never be a vegan, but your video is very informative.

  • I wish you were my neighbor. :)

  • publicity for......vege fuel???.........vegetable protein?????....pfffffffffff

  • It's so good to see a man who's vegan! :) Warms my heart.

  • i was considering going from vegetarian to vegan, i am 13 i want to healthy as i grow up

  • but what if one is really attached to sea food, like shrimp, bass, octopus, and crab?

  • i heard it could be potentially dangerous to become a vegan. i just want to know what i could do to prevent all the nasty effects of changing my diet before i consult a doctor

  • Great video!!! Shows the great health benefits, derails myths, and has living proof (you) that you can be extremely healthy and athletic on a vegan/plant based diet. I've been getting annoyed with all the hurtful comments and people against me being vegan, but you just gave me the boost I needed to continue being vegan and feel great about it. Thanks!

  • you should try nitrofusion :)

  • Yep I think im in love with you. Too soon? sorry. Just kididng just wanted to say you are awesome thanks for the info. Go Vegan!

    -lex

  • I love your video and you are awesome. Intelligent, handsome, care about the earth and animals, know what the freak your talking about and wow. Why dont guys like you exist in my town? Sad. Thanks for standing up for what you believe in. Go Veg!

    -Lexa

  • hmm... I think I may be in love with you.

    Marry me?

  • hmm... I think I may be in love with you.

    Marry me?

  • Great video homey!

  • good video. Very informative. Thanks!

  • Good video. Very helpful. A friend of mine has become a Vegan.

  • Good video. Very helpful. A friend of mine has become a Vegan.

  • Good video. Very helpful. A friend of mine has become a Vegan.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO BRO!

  • Thank you for this wonderful video!

  • What is a Vegan?. Veganism is not diet. After years of studying ancient Hindu non theistic religions such as the Jainist, Donald Watson coined the word Vegan. He explained that a Vegan is someone who avoids all animal exploitation. It is the western version of Jainism. Jains have been practicing this since the 6th century BC. So, the simple answer is.. a Vegan is someone who avoids all animal exploitation. Thats it!.

  • @truth2748 I agree. A vegan avoids all exploitation of animals.

I fear, though, that what I and other vegans, believe to be exploitation is 'acceptable'. E.g. using them as pets, guard dogs etc... 'as long as you treat them nicely'.

  • @truth2748, if that's the case, then why for God's sake do you say it's a 'healthy' diet?

I will always accept the view of animal exploitation, or even the environmental argument.

BUT don't tell me it's a proven healthy diet because it's not.

I know the research literature like the back of my hand. There is no shred of evidence that a strict vegan diet (no meat, fish, dairy or eggs) is either protective against chronic disease, necessary, or safe.

    That's the truth.

  • This was super helpful, thank you!

  • VEGA is the best vegan protein powder because it contains several other things that are great for you - flax seed, probiotics, Maca, chlorella and a couple other superfoods.

  • great vid, thank you for your advice

  • GREAT video. An overwhelming amount of information, but great nonetheless.

  • you look great man ! Good to see you're sharing the vegan love and proving that it is a healthy lifestyle but I always wonder what does your dog eat?

many people go vegan to prevent animals suffering for our food but isn't it the same if you feed a dog from the same meats?

  • hell no, dogs are caranivors. same with cats, there digestive tracks are designed to process meat. where ours are more closely realted to herbivores then even onmivores. but we can eat meat... i wouldnt suggest it haha, but thats me. I belive caranivors should eat me, but please try to convience me other wise.

  • Oh and I know this video is old and you might have another opinion now bu if you don't like the consistency of tofu you get in a store or something I recommend you buy dry tofu put it in a brew and then bake or fry it until it has the consistency you like (from soft/rubber consistency that I don't like myself all the way to crispy). I really don't like most tofu you get in a restaurant for example but making it yourself you'll see how versatile it is.

  • great video man. One thing I get my B12 from is Sauerkraut, it's got a lot of B12 since it's fermented for quite a while... well but it's easier for me to get it since I'm german I guess.

Oh and about the proteins... I think it's silly and a bit sad that there's people who think there'd be no proteins in plants. I mean what do they thing they're (the plants) made of? just cabonhydrates and lipids? Proteins are in EVERY ORGANISM.

  • Max is so cute

  • cooking in cast iron pots and pans gives good iron too.

  • Question about eating out in restaurants:

I know that for most big corporate restaurants like Subway, you can go on their website and check out which of their items are vegan.

But what do you do when eating out in small family-owned restaurants? What can be reasonably assumed to be vegan?

  • There are many different brands of soy milk, and they all taste slightly different. The reason why most people like So Good best is because it has more sugar than most other brands. So try different brands, and also try the other vegan "milks", but no matter what you ultimately switch to, it will take time for you to get used to it.

  • HFCS = High-Fructose Corn Syrup is NOT GOOD for you at all. Why do you think Americans are SO FAT? HFCS! Pop (cola-type drinks) are LOADED with HFCS. They no longer use cane sugar like they used to. It is a cost-cutting measure to increase the companies' profits. *steps down from soap box*

GREAT video, as usual, Kevin. Am working my way from vegetarianism to veganism.

You look great! Keep on keepin' on. -Rich ;)

  • i like you man, your cool

  • I tried some silk brand vanilla soy milk and I thought it tasted gross. It tasted like vanilla, cardboard and water. Is there a better tasting brand?

  • almond milk.

  • @GothicCity13 I'm not wild about soy milk, but I really like almond milk and rice milk, have you tried those?

  • Great video :) See how healthy we vegetarians/vegans are.

You just have to ignore the people who verbally menstruate all over people's vegan and vegetarian vlogs. They don't actually want you to intelligently answer them, they just feel cool making disparaging and mocking comments based on nothing, because they're lazy slimeballs who don't give a shit about anything. I'm vegetarian, and I'm glad there are so many videos up where you can learn more about the diet and lifestyle. :)

  • idk why man but you remind me of that guy from "always sunny in philidelphia" ...its awesome. and great video, helped me greatly on what to use/eat.

  • Would you recommend soy milk? do you eat only berries in the mornings? Thank you for the video my man!

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like a very healthy specimen of a human being.

  • if your a vegan, what does your dog eat?

    does he still eat meat?

  • i heard soy lowers your sex drive. is that true?

  • @MsVegiGurl Hi! About a year ago, you asked if soy (soya in the UK) lowers your sex drive. I cosume a lot of soy(a) and my sex drive is 'normal'.

  • aw ur dog is cute..! i go to th gym everyday.. i was wondering i still wanna workout... but i dont wanna have protin or nutrient lack! help?

  • I like your house =) lol great video - Vegetarian for 2 years in December

  • Thanks for posting this video! I've been a vegetarian for a year and a half now, and I've been considering going vegan. I have a few questions about the vege fuel protein powder: Is that available at GNC stores or do you have to order it? and How much does that cost? I'd really appreciate it if you could answer those, and thanks again for this video. I'm subscribing to you. (:

  • Where did you go to have your blood tested? Did you go to your primary care doctor or a nutritionist? My boyfriend's mother is the only one of all my friends and family who has to constantly "worry" about my vegan diet. I told her I'd get a blood test so she wouldn't have to.

  • Just go to your physician and request it(I did it twice, my first time in this video was from my physician at the Univeristy I was attending at the time, the 2nd in my 2nd vid on this topic was a doctor in NYC) Or you can do it when you get your yearly checkup--make sure to request what you want them to screen and test for. The hormone test is quite expensive if you do not have insurance--so just a heads up its good to have insurance when getting these tests. Let me know how everything goes!

  • Good on you mate, I'm a Aussie vegan. Really appreciate you making the video. Thank you.

  • @danthompson32 Hey Aussie vegan, Canadian vegan here lol. Is there a lot of vegan foods in Australian grocery stores? I mean like substitues like hemp/soy milks, coconut ice cream, tofu, that sort of thing. just wandering cause I want to visit someday.

  • Kevin - you're great! Good job on the video, and I really hope your video inspires a lot of people to turn to veganism. Nicely done!

  • thanx for this, its super informitive. i have been considering veganism for a while, but never had the complete motivation. now that i know all this it makes it a lot easier to go about it =]

  • This is a great video. Very informative, inspires me to eat healthier. I already am vegan (obviously from my username)

    I LOVE HUMMUS!!! :)

You are great. Yay for vegans!

    Maxwell is awesome!

  • Seems hard to keep healthy being a vegan...good luck.

  • No, its not hard to keep healthy being a Vegan, as for any other diet. Just eat healthy things and research your food--thats if you want to any type of healthy diet. As for me, in this video, perhaps, the difficulty you saw is with the supplements I consume. That is for bodybuilding purposes. I like to have mass&muscle on me. So I researched and found a food lifestyle (or diet routine) that fits my goal without the consumption of any animal products or helping industrial animal cruelty.

  • i have a family memeber that was a body builder, #rd for Mr, America a few yrs ago, your right, he took alot of suppliments. I am not a vegan, I need meat, but I have friends who are and am having a few over for dinner in a few days and wanted to get a bit mroe info and idea for a good dinner. I may not be a vegan, but nice vid:)

  • @11visionary11 Quite the opposite, meat and dairy dramatically increase your risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other diseases (just one portion of meat per week doubles your risk of cancer). So the 2 top killer diseases are in most part due to dairy and meat, so to say it's hard being healthy on a vegan diet is quite ridiculous when it's practically impossible to be healthy when you eat meat and dairy which are some of the most dangerous foods you can eat.

  • u seem to know your way through veganism ...good luck .personally i am a vegetarian and overweight (i used to be from before i became a vegetarian ) i could use some exercise...if i was a vegan i think i would skip the vege protein i would try to get them from foods i know it is not easy but the simpler the better thanx.take care

  • Your dogs adorable. I've een an organic vegan since first grade also. Meat is jut barbaric and disgusting to me

  • Hi! My name is nikki and i absolutly love this video :] you hit on all the important things you need to stay and feel healthy. I am a pure organic vegetarian. Everything that I eat is not only vegetarian but organic as well. Everything you said in this video is very true and i use myself. Thanks for showing and making it known that vegan and vegetarianism is the best to go and if you do you need to be careful with it. Basically that it isnt a joke. Thanks again!

    nikki

  • awesome 2 things tho

    1. there are only 8 amio acids

    2. soy is NOT the only vegetable w/ all Essential amino acid.

  • Thanks for the comment, but you NEED to turn your annotations on for this video before you comment. Last time I checked when I was studying Dietetics at University and as a member of the American Dietetic Association, there 20 Amino Acids we humans need, produce, and turn into proteins or use as proteins--9 are Essential (read the annonations) and 11 are Non-Essential. Second, in the annonations I note some other sources that are complete proteins other than soy, for example Hemp.

  • Good work bro!

    VeganBodyBuilding (dot) com

    VeganHealth (dot) org (Registered Dietician)

    myspace /vegetarianveganparadise

  • i thought that vegans don't eat stuff with like vitamin B12 and amino acids and stuff?

  • Every human being needs B12. And protein is made up of amino acids--which every human being needs as well.

  • Wait, doesn't Red Bull contain Taurine which comes from mammal bile?

  • Read the comments below--I am amazed at how many times I have answered this question---go to the redbull website and it will tell you all you need to know-- the L-tuarine or taurine is synthetic in Redbull making it suitable for Vegans.

  • I started to be a vegetarian like a month ago around at the end of June, I still have questions about this and that, but what kind of bread do Vegans eat? To be specific-like a brand. I say i'm a vegetarian but I'm starting to avoid anything with animals like eggs and milk and started to get Silk Soymilk.

...and I don't eat animals for my health and in some way my religion.

  • you would be surprised how much bread produce doesn't contain animal products, similar to bagels, just read the back and do a little research on anything that sounds foreign.

  • You are correct, that's why I always say read the labels, labels, labels.

  • Hi, I love your video. Vegan is a term "born" 1944 by the British Vegan Society. Pat Crocker's book "The Vegan Cook's Bible" page 8. Thinking about going vegan after 16½ month as a vegetarian.

  • Did you know that the word vegan was "born" in 1944? The British Vegan Society coined it from the first three and last two letters of "VEGetariAN". See p. 8 in "The Vegan Cook's Bible" by Pat Crocker. There is loads of good recipes in her book.

  • Well, done video.

"If you want to learn something, give a lesson on it."

If that's true you'll probably end up making your living at this.

  • Good video, mate. Helpful and instructive!

  • Great video, all thought soy products are not healthy because of the way they process them.

And there's many other alternatives to get your nine amino acids besides soy and hemp.

    Nice dog.

  • Great job!

  • How do you get your vitamin D? Lol I can't stand out in the sun that long. I use to get it by eating cereal but I found out that cereal gets it's vitamin D by meat.

  • Foods that are high in Vit D are Shiitake mushroom, nori, sunflower seeds, dates, lettuce, halibut and sweet potatoes.

  • Bit of a weird name for a mushroom isn't it? Could have called it Shartake, Shartake sounds better lol :P

  • There are many if not a lot of ways of getting my Vitamin D. Soy Milk, such as Silk, is fortified with Vitamin D for example. A lot of foods are fortified with the Vitamin (as said in the video always read labels)-- as well as my multivitamin. And by the way you only need to stand in the sun for 15 minutes to get you Vitamin D3.

  • Depending on the latitude, temperate areas generally provide sufficient vitamin D if you are outside with shorts and a shirt for 15 minutes, 2 times a week. What latitude are you?

Cold areas outside of human's ecological niche require more time outside during the summer, fall and spring to store vitamin D for the winter when D is unavailable.

  • I really love your videos! I´m vegan since I was 13, now I´m 22, I wanna make you a question. Can I have a part-time job, study and the university and go to the gym? I want to get a good shape, but I´m scared cuz I don´t have much time! Thakns

  • Get some Goji Berry. They are good and cheap when dry

  • Goji Berries are also a complete protein.

  • great video, this has been really educational.

  • im all for letting ppl live their lifes the way they want to.

but what makes me mad is when they try to push the lifestyle in an aggressive way torwards others.

although you sir seem to be a respectable person and i congragulate you for your successful lifestyle.

btw hehe you said pee protein =P

  • Yes, Red Bull is vegan. It says so on their website.

  • Good video. You have to be careful about relying on spinach for iron. It has a lot of iron but it is not absorbed well. It also contains oxalic acid which inhibits iron absorption.

  • That's a misconception. Spinach doesn't actually have an abundance of iron. Go vegan!

  • According to the United States Department of Agriculture, a 180 gram serving of boiled spinach contains 6.43 mg of iron, whereas one 6 oz. (170 gram) ground hamburger patty contains at most 4.42 mg. Thus spinach does contain a relatively high level of iron, compared to other vegetable and meat sources,

  • I agree with that. People tend to think eating too much is bad because the iron content is dangerous.

  • Where are u getting ur info? I follow science based research, not googling spinach or invalid sites. As a member of the American Dietetic Association they have great resources on finding out such information. The iron in spinach is molecularly different from that of meat, but still it is a great source, when taking with Vitamin C is absorbed quite well. As my last video showed I am now 3 and 1/2 years into Veganism, my iron is quite fine as well as my other Vitamins, Minerals, and Nutrients.

  • Good video.

  • This video is so great.

    I liked it a lot.

    Thank you

  • I've been a vegan all my life and i've never really thought about my diet in anyway its just what i eat. And i've been body sculpting since i was 14 years old and i usually just drink loads of soya milk and raw vegetables before and after a training session.

  • Your so cute! "I'm a lovely healthy man!!!" Hahaha! Yes you are!

I love Your Russian / Italian eyebrows. That being said. How would you eat as a Vegan if you could not eat most whole grains? You say you dislike tofu, does that mean you eat other veggie meat analogs? Those also have wheat Gluten in them. Just curious how you would stay Vegan if your WW Breads, Whole Grain Pastas & Veggie (gluten) Meats were suddenly not an option. Struggling with this! Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you :) In reply to your question one of my friends cannot eat wheat gluten products--it is just about research, taste, diet, and what is your love for food. I have grown to like tofu--so I must retract my statement in this video. Go to the American Dietetic Association's website for help on this. I love how you got my eyebrows--I am German, Yugoslavian, and Italian. And thank you for your compliments :)

  • Hey Kevin thanks for your reply. So.... your liking the tofu now...it takes a big man to admit he was wrong.hahaha or at least changed you mind. I just saw the:

"Seguirá Habiendo el Amor Siempre en mi Corazón" Vid. Beautiful!!!

It looks like you leaned out a LOT in the last year. Keep it up and congratulations on your first performance in NYC!

    :-)

  • I thought Red Bull wasn't vegan...? It contains taurine, which is commonly derived from meat/fish products. Just saying... I don't really like the stuff so I haven't checked with the manufacturer but you may want to drop them a line if you like Red Bull a whole lot.

In any case, this was very informative! :)

  • This question is asked I think three times here in these posts. If you go to the rebull website you will see it is one hundred percent suitable for vegans--everything they use in it is synthetic. Scroll the the comments and you'll see.

    I appreciate the comment :)

  • And now I've learned one more useful thing! Now I can go back to drinking Red Bull during exams!! :'D

  • Thanks Kevin. I work out and have been vegetarian then vegan for 20 years and yet I still learned a lot from your video. Awesome.

Hey what vegan sneakers do you recommend for the gym?

  • Thanks for the comment. 20 Years! Congrats. If you have a Vegan shop (NYC has a good amount) you can find good sneakers there, thats if its a good Vegan shop. Or you can always go online--I like New Balance Vegan shoes. A bit expensive but New Balance is a great sneaker.

  • Thanks, I learned some new things... TOFU taste good by the way.

  • Yeah Ive learned to like it :) Thanks for the comment.

  • well done! I will definitely be returning to this vid for information and encouragement. Thanks!

  • thanks for the information that was very inspiring. cute dog too. I love watching a very informative video when the person knows what he is talking about. thanks again.

  • Any books you'd recommend? The only reason companies can treat animals horribly and sell poisonous food is because people buy it! Unless people simply stop buying processed food and gmo cancer-giving crap it's only going to get worse. Don't give them another penny, evil only exists because we allow it to with our dollars.

  • that sounds awesome,

i was told i cant be a vegetarian by my doctor because i have all these alergies and i would lose nutrients. im lactose intolerent and a whole bunch of things, and i also dont like alot of foods, im sort of picky.

but i find it wrong to eat an animal,

    its so cruel

  • Animals eat animals,so am I 2 assume then that these flesh eating animals R all "cruel" ?Also the teeth we have in our mouths R designed 4 ripping N tearing meat just like meat eating animals, this would indicate 2 me that I'm designed 2 eat meat just like meat eating animals. Our digestive system has the necessary acids N chemicals in it 2 properly breakdown N utilize meat just like meat eating animals, this would also indicate meat is on our menu.I believe it is everybodys own choice ultimately.
