oh, ok, yeah, it ain't bad at all, my dad owns one, it's almoust fully loaded exept for somekind of a radar and a sunroof, i have to tell i don't know any other car that is that comfortable and the mark levinson sound system...mmm... i think the best car for it's price. ofcourse the IS-F, in my opinion, the best car in the world. it doesn't matter what the others say:)

I know that ultimately there are no guarantees even with good grades and I've seen some very bright college grads struggle on their own taking any job as an interim income solution until they get their foot in the door to their core careers. Good grades are definitely a great incentive. However, I don't think I would ever view a minimum wage job as not worth showing up to. Most young people will say that until life hands them a need to. Ive had it since Christmas of 09 and I never researched its class because I wasnt in the market for a luxury sedan. Long story short I was looking at a civic but the monthly payments between that and the IS were about $100 so I got the IS. My answer is obviously going to be biased since I love the car but a lot of members on the forums have switched from a 3 series to an IS because of reliability. G35/37 owners also switched cuz they say the G has too many Sentra parts

Well like you said its a hybrid so you cant really compare it to a sports sedan like the IS. It depends on what your looking for in a car. Fuel Efficiency? Yeah the CT will get 40 but I can get 33 on the highway in the IS if you go 70 and keep the cruise control on

I bought the base IS so no nav for me, but I dont need it. The gps on my iPhone is good enough for me. And I had stock halogen lights but I swapped them out for 8K HIDs as welll as the fog lights. Click the link at the beginning of the video to check out my mods
The size of the engine. The 250 has a 2.5 V6 and the 350 has a 3.5 V6. Im guessing that they also have slightly different transmissions but the engine is the main difference

@IamLoGiiC I like the IS250 cause its a good looking car but performance wise it feels anemic, its very underpowered for a car in its class, for the money I would have rather opted for a BMW 328i or an Infiniti G37 sedan but the Lexus in the long run is economical in terms of maintenance and gas. Congrats on the car! You should add the face lifted LED headlights like the ones on the 2011 IS models, I think the 2010 IS250 is the only year that can Retro fit the 2011 Headlights into them. =)

Out the door the price of the car was 31k and change. I traded in my old car (which I bought myself for 5k the year before) and I put down $3700 from my own pocket to lower the monthly payment close to the cost of a civic. So I paid about 5k and my parents are paying the rest.
Btw I also pay for all of my mods so dont get the wrong idea or anything. I didnt just get this lexus handed to me for free

Well I wasnt planning on getting a luxury car in the first place. I was looking at a civic coupe but the monthly payments were very similar to the 250 (Civic = $380 +tax per month. IS 250 = $514 per month)
I know its slow but its still faster than my first car (03 eclipse) so I really dont mind. Although there are times I wished I had the extra 100 horses but I cant complain.

i'm 6'1 so when i drive you can't fit anyone behind me but a small child. The backseats are not roomy at all. If you're driving long distances the backseat passengers will start complaining soon enough. You'd expect a lexus to have a smooth ride. But you're pretty low to the ground and you feel every bump on the road. However, you have fine visibility of the road. The IS is geared towards young adults while ES is towards older people. I've seen people in their 60's+ so far in ES's.
If im driving with people in the back seat Ill normally move my seat up a little to give them room but I havent had complaints yet. And your completely right with the ES comparison. But I still think that the IS has a smooth ride. Keep in mind my first car was an eclipse, which was very low to the ground, so I think the IS is comfortable
@jetliigor Yeah that's the problem, I love everything about the IS but it's interior space is just so small. I'm 6' so if I want to be in the car comfortably while having others in my car, it would be a disaster and + I will be keeping the car for many years to come, so it wouldn't be the best choice. I'm only 15 right now but it won't be long before I start driving, so even though the IS is such a sexy car, I might have to go with the ES for my needs.

oh, ok, yeah, it ain't bad at all, my dad owns one, it's almoust fully loaded exept for somekind of a radar and a sunroof, i have to tell i don't know any other car that is that comfortable and the mark levinson sound system...mmm... i think the best car for it's price. ofcourse the IS-F, in my opinion, the best car in the world. it doesn't matter what the others say:)

I know that ultimately there are no guarantees even with good grades and I've seen some very bright college grads struggle on their own taking any job as an interim income solution until they get their foot in the door to their core careers. Good grades are definitely a great incentive. However, I don't think I would ever view a minimum wage job as not worth showing up to. Most young people will say that until life hands them a need to. Ive had it since Christmas of 09 and I never researched its class because I wasnt in the market for a luxury sedan. Long story short I was looking at a civic but the monthly payments between that and the IS were about $100 so I got the IS. My answer is obviously going to be biased since I love the car but a lot of members on the forums have switched from a 3 series to an IS because of reliability. G35/37 owners also switched cuz they say the G has too many Sentra parts

Well like you said its a hybrid so you cant really compare it to a sports sedan like the IS. It depends on what your looking for in a car. Fuel Efficiency? Yeah the CT will get 40 but I can get 33 on the highway in the IS if you go 70 and keep the cruise control on

The size of the engine. The 250 has a 2.5 V6 and the 350 has a 3.5 V6. Im guessing that they also have slightly different transmissions but the engine is the main difference

@IamLoGiiC I like the IS250 cause its a good looking car but performance wise it feels anemic, its very underpowered for a car in its class, for the money I would have rather opted for a BMW 328i or an Infiniti G37 sedan but the Lexus in the long run is economical in terms of maintenance and gas. Congrats on the car! You should add the face lifted LED headlights like the ones on the 2011 IS models, I think the 2010 IS250 is the only year that can Retro fit the 2011 Headlights into them. =)

Out the door the price of the car was 31k and change. I traded in my old car (which I bought myself for 5k the year before) and I put down $3700 from my own pocket to lower the monthly payment close to the cost of a civic. So I paid about 5k and my parents are paying the rest.
Btw I also pay for all of my mods so dont get the wrong idea or anything. I didnt just get this lexus handed to me for free

Well I wasnt planning on getting a luxury car in the first place. I was looking at a civic coupe but the monthly payments were very similar to the 250 (Civic = $380 +tax per month. IS 250 = $514 per month)
I know its slow but its still faster than my first car (03 eclipse) so I really dont mind. Although there are times I wished I had the extra 100 horses but I cant complain.
And what do you mean the nissan in it came out? What didnt you like about the G35?

Is that the lexus tells you the day you buy it that it's going to out last any other lux car and have a higher resale vaule and in the long run cheaper to maintain after the warranty is up. Also had many from Lexus from is, gs, ls, rx, lx, etc. BMW for the track, Lexus for the comfortable ride home. anyways all I'm saying is crazyxblackxman over there needs a better reason to get a luxury car that's all. i'm 6'1 so when i drive you can't fit anyone behind me but a small child. The backseats are not roomy at all. If you're driving long distances the backseat passengers will start complaining soon enough. You'd expect a lexus to have a smooth ride. But you're pretty low to the ground and you feel every bump on the road. However, you have fine visibility of the road. The IS is geared towards young adults while ES is towards older people. I've seen people in their 60's+ so far in ES's.

If im driving with people in the back seat Ill normally move my seat up a little to give them room but I havent had complaints yet. And your completely right with the ES comparison. But I still think that the IS has a smooth ride. Keep in mind my first car was an eclipse, which was very low to the ground, so I think the IS is comfortable

@jetliigor Yeah that's the problem, I love everything about the IS but it's interior space is just so small. I'm 6' so if I want to be in the car comfortably while having others in my car, it would be a disaster and + I will be keeping the car for many years to come, so it wouldn't be the best choice. I'm only 15 right now but it won't be long before I start driving, so even though the IS is such a sexy car, I might have to go with the ES for my needs.
