ow. well better some broken gliderparts than things that can't be replaced right...
i was wondering is there a limitation as to who can attempt hanggliding like minimal bodysize/weight/age? to me hanggliding always seems to be the least dangerous of all the engineless flying sports anyways :)
Glad you are OK Andrew, just one thing did you notice the windsock on the beach showing SSW-SW wind direction at 2min 52sec to 2min 56sec I think it may have been more rotor than pilot error.
Having had my first belly landing in a loooong time recently in the same wind direction, it is a trap to watch our for.
Sorry about your damage mate! Since I've more than paid my dues in downtubes and other costly bits I feel qualified to update the title to: "Geocrashing at Slamwell!" I've even had my Garmin 60CSx ejected from my control bar and sent my mates geocaching to find the darned thing out in the California desert. Ask Robert (Relate2) he'll vouch for my crash cred. Cheers mate! Jono
@NMERider LOL. I like it. I'm also glad to hear that I'm not the only one that is keeping the hang glider manufacturers alive with sales of spare parts.
@twish1999. I understand. It's quite an unnatural thing to step off a hill to be hundreds of feet up - but it is fantastic. BTW, you don't take your first flights off sites like this. They actually start you on flat ground.
There are a lot of hang gliders i see here, especially in the warmer months and i've always thought that it must be as close to flying like a bird that you can get....
@mngeocaching. I still get scared sometimes and was certainly scared coming in on this landing. As it spun in, I remember thinking, this is going to hurt - and was surprised when it didn't because of the soft sand.
Whew! That was sweet! Glad you bounced out of the wreck. Too bad you didn't get the cache after your geo-crash. But then again, might have turned out to be a pill bottle! Thanks for another great video!
@monstercatambush Hey MCA, you know me - quality all the way. I was going after this one: GC2J7JJ Didn't feel like climbing a cliff after that "incident". Was certainly not going to be a pill bottle or any other micro/nano.

You could be right Rob. The air was certainly bumpy on the turn. Time to get the chainsaw out!

@H8tomatoes. Been doing it for over 20 years, but still get a bit nervous after not having flown for a while. It's worth it though!
