@BunBunzx3Babii You know how when something shows up on the rightmost side of the screen, sometimes it shows up in that place on the other side? Same goes for the top and bottom, so since he jumped over a pit while on a high platform, the game thinks he fell through it.

@RockRox31 I'm pretty sure the top and bottom of the screens loop, the only reason objects like Mario, enemies and items won't appear in the sky when they fall off the bottom of the screen is because Mario is put into "death" state while enemies and items that fall off the screen simply despawn. It appears he jumped high enough to loop to the bottom screen just above the point where enemies and items would normally despawn and collided with the enemy before it had a chance to. Looks legit to me.

This happens because the screen top and bottom are wrapped in the code, so that what happens offscreen is that Mario hit the underside of the Goomba when he was jumping. When the goomba left the bottom of the screen, and when Mario's head was above the top of the screen, they momentarily occupied the same space in the wraparound code before the Goomba could be fully deleted, so the program registered it as a collision .
