@TheWejdin mr carflipper just mentioned that the night security guard did it in 40 months saving up $100,000. If you are willing to make your security guard job into a night job and sleep at that job as a second job but continue to work your current job and stop paying rent at your house, not only do you save rent money but now your whole paycheck from security is yours.
"do something radical! deliver pizza's, work part time, sell something, have a yard sale, sell so much stuff the kids think they're next. get crazy! you're way too close to the money cliff to make any excuses." that's my favorite ha ha ha
I'm glad I caught this early and read the book. I never had debt or a credit card and I will be able to acquire and manage my money a lot easier with those two things.
I hope that in 2011 we all made a resolution to cut up our credit cards and ergo stop using credit cards. I did! my sister did in the second half of 2010.
come on people it's 2011, let's live right, also while I'm at it, I guess I need to stop voting democrat.
me, my sister and my brother are debt free! uh, except for the house..... My brother is 27 and still single, he figures it's gonna be easier for him to get his house paid off as long as he doesn't marry or have kids. LOL, although I think I ought to get him a girlfriend and tell him to loosen up a bit , sometimes he worries me.
@bridgetlear2009 yeah good for you Bridget. Now go be a "Paulette Revere" and tell everyone to "Get It Right" in 2011. DEBT IS DUMB, CASH IS KING, DUH! he says it in his intro. I live in LA and we now get Dave Ramsey live on the radio(KFWB) 11am-2pm pacific.
We have all the education in the 21st century, there's no question what success is and how to get it, we just need to condition ourselves individually.
he even makes Bill Clinton look bad, lol, and under the Clinton administration, they actually produced a surplus. Unlike Bush I and II, Reagan, and Obama.
@ir10031981 There was never a surplus during the Clinton Administration. There are widespread claims of a mythical surplus. Why did the national debt increase every year he was in office?
I find that saving $100,000 in 40 months working as a security guard was a miracle.
