Reading comments on videos of Tori past the year of 2003-2004 is just making me sad how shallow people can be. She is aging, she had some botox and a browlift and suddenly her whole personality has changed? All she stands for is gone? That is just a bunch of crap, she is the same openminded free spirited woman as she's been during her career. Get a grip people, if you only can see her shell who are you to jugde?

To me, this performance is stunning. I love this song, and I love watching Tori through the years grow as a person, and expand musically. Like it or not, at least she is not afraid to try new styles and sounds. Scarlets Walk is my personal favorite CD of hers because to me, it was the bridge that the mature Tori needed to cross over to grow.

She may never again have the commercial success she once had, but I think Tori is okay with that,,, she has us, and always will.

I too share your opinion, and I wonder why people are so critical over her style. She will never be the girl from Little Earthquakes, or Scarlets Walk. She has to grow and change like the rest of us do. Since her music is so personal, it wil change too.

OMG I KNOW!!!!!! Just recently I have been trying so hard to see the similarities between the "old" Tori and this one. But, well, not the same at all. But I guess I have to keep in mind she has been in it for 20 years now. Compare twenties to fourties (almost fifty) you are gonna be a completely different person!

I agree with you about the lifts and everything COMPLETELY! She just doesn't hold that natural "tori" beauty that she had. It was so unique and so angelic, but now it is all tight and puffed with botox. It really does change your perception.

The voices of some artists have irremediably changed through time, probably because of aging. Deborah Harry of Blondie doesn't sound like in 1980 anymore, and Madonna has absolutely lost her high-pitched tone of her first years. On the other hand, Tori isn't the same person, she was full of pain in the early 90's and that must have been decissive to make her sound raw in that early times. Now she's got a family, a poised life and her throat must reflect those changes. :D
