  • GOOD JOB ...GOD BE WITH YOU

  • nice videos im slowly starting to master these songs =)

  • o and can you do D# instead of D major?

  • i don't think you can do a D#. it does not go with the song which is played in the key of G

  • "from the cross to the grave from the grave to the sky," what were the chords? D something then E minor.

  • for that part, that chords i used were G, C, D, B7, Em

  • i used G C D Em Am it seem to work fine as well

  • @NoobsGetOwned4Life

    D B/Eb then D.

  • great song thanks for posting it, may GOD continue to bless you brother

  • The Strumming Patterns are written in white. Its kinda hard to view from your white wall. Do you mind changing the colour? Thanks.

Great Job =D wicked chords you used there. Simple yet suttle =)

  • have you done a introductional on this?

  • nope, but the strumming pattern is on the video itself

  • cool. thanks so much!

  • oh yeah. u rock too :]

  • I just read your other responses and you said you are doing this for free to help others worship...I want you to know that you are helping me enormously to lead weekly prayer group meeting worship and I ask our sweet Lord to reward you richly as only He can for putting this out here for us...hugs,

  • Thank you for the B7 input and the hammer-on when strumming G-chord for rhythm enhancement. I think I like to play an Am-to-D for the "cross to the grave" instead of carrying on with standard C-to-D, what do you think? Anyway, you are a BLESSING indeed. Keep a ROCKin =)

  • man that was awesome i love singing along to your songs (the ones that i know any way) God bless

  • you know you can also use the chords of G, D, and C throughout the whole song.

  • That was awesome, i really enjoyed listening to it. God bless you.

Thank you for you're amazing videos!

  • great job man...

  • God Bless You.

  • good job

  • What's the chord's position on "from the grave to the sky" before the Em? Thnx.

  • oh, that's a standard B7 chord

  • I've been playing for about 1 year and a half and oddly enough, i never learned that chord...

  • Nice and clean. Thanks.

  • Daniel,Thank you so musch your teaching.

It's great useful to learn guitar. I love it.

by the way, I cannot see the strumming pattern on the video, 3th part,Rockish strumming patten.(D D D UDU DDU... ?

  • yup, the third strumming pattern (rockish) is D,D,D,UDU,DD,DU

  • i like this song and i know these chords but i really want to know how to do the sonic flood version

  • Oh... fine done.

but i think you miss the beginning,or?

    God bless you!

  • i love this song

  • Its ok Dan i found out the chords and i know how to play ady.Thx alot XD

    Shalom.

  • this song i grew up knowing thanks to my church no one but u did i find that actually liked it its my favorite also my god u are awesome thank you keep it up u are my role model guitarist !!!!! Thankyou keep it up

  • Danniel do you have a vedeo on how instruction to play this song?

  • hmm, i didn't make an instructional video for this because the chords are quite simple, and i put the strumming pattern on the video itself. if you need any more information, just message me, i'll give you the chords

  • hey did he give you the chords?

  • i love your songs so does my dad. have 11 years of age so any way i hope u keep singin your heart out! God Bless you!

  • Hi sir, this is ellaine from the Philippines....this is also my favorite old song in our church......are you a member of youth ministry to your church??????are you a guitarist to your church?????I saw your brothers site......its great....and I also get some tabs to his site so that I can Apply it to our church......tnx god bless....!!!!!

  • Rockin buddy. I'm gathering from some of the comments below that you are in Singapore. Do you have a ministry there? How can we support you?

  • yup, i'm from singapore. i'm actually doing all this for free because i feel that i should use my God-given talents to help others :) if you want to support, you could always donate through my brother's blog

  • amazing!

  • For those who can't see the strumming pattern i put up (my fault, i should wear a black shirt haha)

    Easy - D,D,DU

    Advanced - D,D,UDU,DD,DU

    Rokish - D,D,D, UDU,DD,DU

  • hey Daniel, I was wondering, can you use American money in Singapore? I'd be happy to send you some money as a donation for all your help in these instructional videos because I have learned a lot. let me know?

  • wow! If you send him American money, when he change it to Singapore money, he will have more than what you gave him.

  • Cool. I was wondering what the exchange rate was there. I had a feeling it was going to be more. Not like Europe where it cuts American money in half..

  • nah its not quite half its like 1.6 dollars to a pound

  • thanks so much for the videos. This song is great and it doesn't even need an instructional video because you gave everything we need to know in this video.

  • Man, im so glad i found your videos, I play guitar for my church and i need to know these songs thank you so much

  • I love this song thank you.

  • love the song, love the guitar, love the singing.

but could you move the camera so we can see your face.

  • I'm sorry, but I don't get the strumming patterns (really new at this) but do you strum all 6 strings the whole song?

  • Well it depends on what chord you play actully, if you play a D chord than you strum the highest strings not the E and A. but the rest yes. Also, you don't necessarily have his strumming pattern, I love how he plays his songs and I use his chords, but I still use my own strumming pattern, so its up to you. As long as the strumming pattern is 4/4 though.

    Easy Strumming - D D U U D U (I used this when I started playing guitar)

    The One I Use Now Strumming - D D D U U D U D D U

  • yup, there's a bit of pattern involved. if you play D, strum from the 4th strong down. if you play A, strum from the 5th string down. if you play E, you can strum all 6 strings. if you strum C, strum from the 5th string down.

  • wow i new the first couple chords but when it got into the middle i didnt know but now i know from watching you your awsome again

  • haha. just to share the chords i used,

    verse G C D C G (x4)

    chorus G C D C (x2) G C D B7 Em C D G

  • Uhg. I HATE B7's. haha They're so stinkin wierd. :P Or maybe I just suck. haha Probably just I suck.

  • uh...yeah real B7's suck, first of all, you can try a cheater, fingering is x20202. works for B7 and bm7. also, for the end of chorus you can also play em7 am7, instead of B7 em C. so, last line would be G C D em7 am7 D G. note daniel's chords aren't wrong, they are just different voicings. the one i put here is a more traditional one and an easier one for newbies to learn, because it doesn't have that dreaded B7!!!

  • haha. I'm not really a "newbie." I just REALLY hate that chord. :P

  • Thank you! Looks simple :)

  • Yeah, it's one of my favorites too, We do it often for worship, it's a great song and, as usual, you do a great job of playing and singing... Thanks for sharing...FrAnK

  • this old song was written in like 1989! but each time i sing it again it's a refreshing experience

  • hello fellow brothers and sisters in Christ i am posting videos of guitar on my web page please watch, rate or comment on them and tell me what you want to learn or any song requests thanks! God Bless!

  • I know you do more worshippy stuff, but is there anyway you could do Jesus Freak, from DC talk? Anyway, I have to do this song on easter sunday, so thank you so much!

  • what is the second strummign pattern? ur shirt blends in with the letter :( DU UDU DD UD?

  • D, D, UDU, DD, DU

  • THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! Great job! It's so simple, do we even need an instructional? Maybe not but do it anyway! haha =)

  • Nice video. Keep up the good work.

  • Awesome song Daniel! I luv songs like this that aren't too incredibly tough to play for a somewhat beginner. This song has great meaning. I'm currently working on the Katina's version of Draw Me Close. God allowed me to pick right up on it and I've been playing and singing it every night. Keep up the good work bro

  • yea it's lift :P

  • awesommee, but ummm u titled it "Lord I Live Your Name On High" lol its lift your name on high right?

  • Oops, sorry about that typo. Thanks for telling me. Have changed it!
