Wow! This looks REALLY bad now compared to the new classic predator.

The figure comes with some awesome things though like the box, base, medi kit and bone trophies.

@SkemeKOS yea hehe I am debating whether to get the new one or not now hehe. The only thing I don't like abiut the new one is the articulation. I have all the new preds and they can't pull off any nice dynamic poses. But otherwise they are great lookin figs

Yeah thats another downside to the newer preds. Although for me, Im happier having a more realistic looking body than a ultra poseable one that looks strange because of the added articulation. I think its a fair trade off.

I actually sold this original predator a few months ago to pay for the classic predator AND jack sparrow.

@Krele1997 if you are referring to the 1/4 scale, then no, but if compared with the regular 7 inch figures from neca, yea cos this is about 13 inches tall

I've got this same Predator and also pre-ordered the newer updated version from Hot Toys. Without a doubt the newer one is going to make this one look incredibly cheap looking standing next to each other. I'll still be happy having both but will not resist selling the older one if I can get a hefty amount for it.:)

@Shadowx011 the only thing I don't like about the new one is the articulation. Seems to have fewer joints, so not too good for dynamic poses

@pedramoslo this one been sold out for a long time, so only secondary market would you be able to find this. However there is the classic pred from the predators movie. That particular one is on pre-order right now on sideshow website, I think they do international orders, so check it out

@robotskater143 well there is one coming out soon, that's the classic from the Predators, the one that's tied up in the movie, that one will also come with a clean mask.... so i think that's why ppl are selling the predator 1 figure. As far as whether it is a good deal, I say so, cos this is the predator 1 figure

the only thing that looks a little odd is his body size. bit too skinny. but thats just me. great job getting this! i know what its like to want something for ages then get it! its great!

I'm a massive Predator fan and have lots of figure's but this has to by far be the best I have seen looks outstanding, congrats on getting probaly the best Predator figure there is, def a great trade :)

Awesome trade and awesome review :) I myself have the chopper predator but not selling it as I have the Celtic and elder so I'll hold on to them for awhile :) Only thing about this predator hot toy for me is the dreads there to small ???? :) Anyway great review

got this guy, he's awesome. he may be a little short scale wise, but he more then makes up for it detail and accuracy wise.

i'm looking forward to the 1/4 scale neca perdators that are coming out early next year. they look wicked. and are massive.

@KORNdog1986 i am not too sure about the 1/4 scale tho... from the pics i have seen, it's basically a up-scaled version of the 7inch figure, they didnt give it better articulation. And with only one head hmmmm, seems like a quick way to get more money from collectors

@toys210 i know what you mean. but i didnt buy the smaller scale ones, and the paint seemed to be lacking on them, but in terms of sculpt i think they're better then even the hot toys figure. if they can improve the paint due to the larger scale, then i'm definately up for buying one. it sucks that you only get one head, but my hot toys one is forever unmasked anyway. might go for the masked version if i do get it tho, since i think the hot toys one makes his head look too big.

@toys210 ha, true. could turn out to be some 80's era quality, light, hollow, cheap pile of crap. what i've seen i like tho. couple tweeks (give him a real, soft fabric loin cloth) and he's good to go. i hope he turns out at least as good as the 12" marcus fenix. i have no idea where i'd put it tho, it's huge.

@KORNdog1986 heheh yea that's another thing, is huge, i highly doubt it will fit in my glass case hehe. hmmm yea that's true, i can always add my wwn soft fabric loin cloth to cover up that cut joint around the hips and it should make the figure look a lot nicer. if they make individual dreads that would have been nice too, but from pics, most likely not gonna happen... how much was fenix? was he $80? cos he got lights as well i think

@toys210 marcus was around £25-30 here in the UK, so i'd assume something close to $50 in the US? i dont know. from a 'scale to price to quality' ratio he seemed pretty reasonable tho. kinda like the 12" master chief from mcfarlane

end of the day i'm not expecting a hot toys level product from neca, they're a mass production figure company after all. but i think it'll be decent, and with a few easy mods it could easily make for a decent, (and massive) display peice. we'll see i guess.

@flakelorenz02 well the avp stuff is older most likely that's why they are more expensive. But this is Predator 1, the original pred, i still think eventho the price is lower right now, but eventually the pred 1 will be as high as the avp if not more.

@11808Clover if you have the chopper, you might want to think about selling it on ebay, cos last one was sold for 610, if not, do what i did, see if your local comic shop wants to buy or trade it, but even if you decide to keep it, the price will only go up :)
