Cultivate the you within and know thyself. you will have no doubt in self if you start inside, with true essence and not images from TV given to you or other Black women by foreign invaders.

I like your hair ^ ^ It looks really pretty. I was thinking the same sort of thing too. I have longish hair, and I hate my hair, but I usually think "Oh no, if I have short hair will people think I'm gay?" I don't know. It's kind of ridiculous, I suppose.

I think it came out nice. But then again, I think it is a sign of strength and confidence. It takes just that to cut your hair, because then there is the whole thing of worrying about looking feminine enough. Dont worry though; you still look like a woman :-) But on another point, my view may be a bit biased....Im ok with a bit of androgyny.

Muscles are a masculine feature on both sexes; they're muscles. Of course there are differences between men and women, but there are more differences amongst a single sex than there are between the two groups. The overlap between the two sexes is significant in every aspect. A generalization? THat is quite the understatement. It made you sound like a pretentious misogynist...but I'm sure you're not really ;-)

I think it's up to the individual BUT I feel long hair is feminine but then femininty is based on the individual.A woman can have short hair like Tony Braxton and still be very feminine.Lately I threatened but I will never cut my hair short b/c I feel long hair is feminine.I looks great on you though.

I think "short hair" is not by society standard a feminine trait but it all depends on how you carry yourself and what fits your face. If you act all loud and have your hands flying, I really don't care what hair. I won't go as far as saying it would look more feminine because we associate femininity with long silky hair. And one thing, there's nothing wrong with some kind of standard for distinction between the sexes. We are social animals. It is not a bad thing to "fit in" what society thinks.

Did you cut your hair or take your weave off? If its a weave, there is no loss. You look cute with short hair. Most women won't cut their hair because their attractiveness is attatched to their hair, they don't have any real confidence. If you are hot, you are hot, you could be bold and be hot.  Look how pretty Sinead O'conner is with no hair. She is stunning because she has real beauty. Your attractiveness is all in your head not on it! Who cares what men think anyway? LOL

Hey, I just did the same as you, almost the same cut too. I have had a lot of the same thoughts that you have expressed aswell, will be interested to see some responses. Btw, my hubby doesnt really like my cut, but every female Ive spoken to loves it! My thought is that a lot of women just dont dare to do it, so when someone they know goes and gets a major cut they find it almost liberating!

i'm totally going through the same thing right now, asking myself the same questions. first of all i think you got a very flattering haircut. i was also told that my hair looked cute but that word somehow brought my confidence down a bit because when i had rather long hair the words used were gorgeous and beautiful. so i do feel like some people see it as less feminine but then there are others that go against that standard view.
