I know this kind of sounds odd, but what a great story it would be if Kate did get him through a break down. I actually feel like a break down right now would explain a lot. Maybe she comes across him when he's right on the edge and is able to put any hurt aside b/c she can't bare to see him in so much pain.
Maurice was awesome with LuLu. I love that Kate is ready and willing to stand with Sonny through "sickness and health". It is this unconditional love that she has shown him that I love the most. M&M why I watch!
