  • does anyone know what the song in the video is called...

  • bro now your turning into a joke your gonna use televangelist as your support...any body christian or not can tell those men aren't right in the head, and your still not proving a point, you are just saying over and over that people who claim to be christian are capable of sin, that is in the bible whats new,no one said people weren't flawed, i'm saying you can't say these kids are doing anything negative, and if you could already would have, so in your not clear on who is righti am so just

  • as a matter of fact im going to concede cause their's no reason to entertain this ignorance anymore, but dont get me wrong your still in my prayers ;)

  • Missionaries have traditionally destroyed cultures,

    destroyed languages, sexually abused, enslaved,

    murdered, destroyed families, introduced diseases,

imposed foreign rules and laws and dress codes,

stolen valuable heirlooms and cultural symbols,

    and sent home self-congratulatory reports

of the "souls saved" and "victories for Jesus."

    Leave them alone!

  • @Imaginefree69 whose missions are you talking about because what you really want to say is imperialism and corrupt systems with corrupt people have abused the will and misconstrued the word of Jesus for their own prophet such as the pharisees in Jesus's time....leaving them alone wont help them either and honestly these people are not destroying cultures or any of the things you named

  • @MistaMeta4

"what you really want to say is imperialism"

I reject your manipulative attempt to change my words.

This is typical Christian strategy, and they practice it by changing the text of their Bibles.

The Natives who were ripped from their families

and abused and raped and used as slave labour

and forbidden to speak their own language

and forced to learn English and embrace Christianity

in residential schools across North America

were not the victims of imperialism, but of Christianity.

  • @Imaginefree69 rape really...clearly you haven't encountered God so you just throw the word Christian around wildly...i will be the first to admite many people under the guise of Christianity have done some very evil things and thought some very evil thoughts...but if you have encountered YHWH honestly...than at the very least you can test the spirits...and also their are many people who claim to be justified by faith and act out evil deeds that will never go away...just cause your pointing

  • @MistaMeta4

Thanks for the sermon, but you are carefully avoiding the true and verifiable criticisms I have posted about your book and your religion.

how about addressing the issues, rather than personalizing the discussion to camouflage your avoidance?

    Test the spirits?

Jesus said we should judge trees by their fruit.

The fruit of Christianity has been bitter and evil.

  • @Imaginefree69 i did address those issues clearly...now if you need to read my "sermon" over once more than go ahead...im not camouflaging anything and faith is personal...but really the whole point of this disagreement is for me to tell you to leave them alone the people participating in this mission aren't doing anything to hurt any one...but are living life to their best ability and following their calling...no rape, murder non of that...and this is a fact you can't refute...

  • @MistaMeta4

"i did address those issues clearly."

    Speak the truth, please.

You only reacted by accusing me of misusing the word "Christian", which was another falsehood.

Please show me how compulsory religious residential schools have had a positive impact on the broken, drunken, impoverished Natives who have been "blessed" by Christians. The effects of those schools were precisely the effects of those mission schools today in the less educated countries around the world.

    Tyranny and terrorism.

  • i apoligize for this>(Respond to this video...) it keeps popping up at the beginning of my post...never realized it till you said something oh well...have a Blessed day "Brother"... which technically you are since every one has come from the first humans...so all in reality we r brothers...

  • @MistaMeta4

    Brother- male sibling

    - a male associate or fellow member of an organization

    - a member of a religious order or congregation of men

I have great compassion for fellow humans trapped in the life-blighting delusion of religion, but those who deliberately and untruthfully propagate that delusion are NOT my brothers.

My brothers are all rational humans of compassion and integrity.

  • @MistaMeta4

    "rape really.."

    Yes, rape.

Did you think the courts are just making this evil up when they convict the Falwells and Jim Bakkers and your religion's other poster boys?

I've seen scars that made hardened, 25-year RCMP officers weep upon seeing them. Those scars were from wounds inflicted upon ten-year-old Native girls by the "ministers" at a Christian residential school.

And do you know what local Xians said when I told them?

"It's kindness, because hell will be much worse."

    Faugh.

  • Respond to this video... out that some claim to be christian doesn't prove anything...and also they have to account for their own sins...also the races of people they battled with were evil cultures just like we have today in America God sent the Israelites to judge them and he was right for it...they where practicing on a mass scale very occult practices and reaped what they sowed...just like the Israelites they got what came to them as well for trying to intermingle with the pagans.

  • @MistaMeta4

"he races of people they battled with were evil cultures"

Their only "evil" was in no being Hebrews.

What "evil cultures... in America are you talking about?

Are there any more evil than the Moral Majority?

Your comment beginning "When the LORD your God .." merely demonstrates the racism and evil of the OT paradigm. The only "practices" that mattered was their failure to embrace the foreign god YHVH before the Hebrews raped and robbed and enslaved and killed them.

  • Respond to this video... "When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess, and He drives out many nations before you—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and powerful than you and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you and you defeat them, you must completely destroy them. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy.

  • @MistaMeta4

"Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy."

This, from the fictional tyrant you call the "god of mercy."

This is contrary to the teachings of Jesus.

I guess that doesn't bother you, but it shows the pervasive hypocrisy of your religion.

  • Respond to this video... Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, because they will turn your sons away from Me to worship other gods. Then the LORD's anger will burn against you, and He will swiftly destroy you. Instead, this is what you are to do to them: tear down their altars, smash their standing pillars, cut down their Asherah poles, and burn up their carved images.

  • Respond to this video... For you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.(Deuteronomy 7:1-6)

  • Respond to this video... You can say what you want about Christianity but you need to confront the fact and that is...Christ and His Love, Mercy, Legacy, & Sacrifice Isn't The Issue...The Issue Is And Has Always Been Man & Satan...Now I Took An Ethnographic Art Class So I Know Full Well What "Man" Has Done And Those Men Will Settle That With YHWH Soon...Look Up Alister Crawly then tell me evil isnt real...once you realize the this life is not a game and you got your one shot to choose

  • @MistaMeta4 "I Took An Ethnographic Art Class " Wow. I guess that negates my degrees in Theology, Developmental Biology, and Clinical Psychology. Why are you arguing with me about evil? Of course evil is real. I never said otherwise. In fact, I am objecting to the manifold evil of your "god". Your bronze Age myths account for this by claiming that YHVH creates all evil and causes all evil. I agree that we have one shot at life. Not two, not one plus fairy tales, just one.
  • Respond to this video... hopefully you will quite being counter productive and give freely...these people above know what that means...who are you to say what their doing hasn't been the will of God or even positive when you don't even know Yesua Or YHWH...I'm sorry dog but you should take some time and give Him a try cause he wants you to know Him, He wants to address and heal those wounds you've acquired...I'm no stranger to adversity and if you need someone to talk to i'm hear...you

  • @MistaMeta4

"who are you to say what their doing hasn't been ... even positive "

    A rational adult, for one.

A member of the Native community, for another.

Rape, slavery, torture, destroying families and languages and cultures in the name of religion is NOT positive.

Not for the victims, and not for the perpetrators.

Go ahead, show me how compulsory religious residential schools have had a positive impact on the broken, drunken, impoverished Natives who have been "blessed" by Christians.

  • @MistaMeta4

"take some time and give Him a try "

I was a Christian pastor, missionary, and Bible teacher for over 40 years.

Been there, done that, vomited up the t-shirt.

To return from your uninformed assumptions to reality, dog, you should consider attending some more scientific classes at your local community college and find the difference between fact and fairy tales about unicorns and talking animals and a flat earth, as taught in your Bible.

Any time I can help with your questions...

  • Respond to this video... Can have my skype if you want...brother or sister God Bless and I will continue to pray for you

  • @MistaMeta4

Why do you keep saying "Respond to this video..."?

What is that supposed to mean, when in fact you are responding to ME?

Let's try to be rational, shall we?

I have no desire for your skype, and, Churchspeak aside, we are not siblings.

    Reality, please.

Two hands helping are more effective than two million hands clasped in prayer.

If you really believe in the power of prayer, in spite of all the evidence to the contrary, please pray for something important, like an end to child abuse.

  • @MistaMeta4

I am talking about Christian missions, which follow beautifully the example of the god of the Bible in destroying all of the "unbelievers" they meet.

Just like Moses leading the Hebrews on their blood-soaked orgy of pillage and rape and murder and genocide when they left Egypt.

After the genocide of the Midianites God commands his people to rip little girls from the bloody arms of their murdered mothers and take them home to share with YHVH's priests.

    Nothing has changed, has it?

  • i have just read this for the first time and i am currently in the process of applying for the WR OCT'09 and my response to the seeds is the verse in luke: "the harvest is PLENTY but the laborers are FEW." it is about going and seeing a need and responding to what the lord is speaking to us. it is about complete trust and complete faith that he will guide you every single step of the way :). he is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

  • a pilgramage???

  • Why

    have you been on one?

  • Why? Did you have a bad experience with them? I am applying for this World Race. What can you tell me?

  • I have been on several teams that have gone through AIM.

I do not have enough room in the comments to fully explain all of the areas that AIM falls short in, but please feel free to email me,. I would be happy to share my experiences, and why I think AIM is not a good missions agency.

  • Not everyone will feel the same as another person in anything that they do...My experience with AIM has been awesome and I would recommend you go on the World Race! To like AIM, you have to be prepared to Let God be in control...if you can't do that then maybe you should go with another agency that relies on man more than the LORD...

  • To maximize the impact of short term missions, you have to have a plan, who will follow up with new believers? Are we being sensitive to the culture? Do we have the materials we need? Are we just casting seeds on infertile soil?

Developing a plan and framework to foster new believer's spiritual growth is not relying "on man more than the LORD". It is acting responsibly to ensure that the seeds you cast will come to fruition.

Not planing ahead for a missions trip is lazy and irresponsible.

  • No ministry or missions is right for "everyone" but to attack them when you don't understand them does not glorify or serve God. It only results in division in the body and that serves only the enemy. And remember, the LORD told us some seed will fall on rocky soil...but that is no reason to sit back and not take the Gospel message out at all. Walk in Love as we are commanded and do not accuse your brother falsely. AIM does well on all issues you question and is very structured. Gods speed..
