  • My ultimate Synth... but you just hear Vangelis all the time

  • How do you think the Arturia version compares?

  • @aeko .... it doesn't apparently...! Sorry but you just cannot beat the real thing. In this case that expression is particularly true. The CS-80 has 'presence' - it is 'alive' and actually makes you play in a way that 'software' cannot. Trust me on this one. Same goes for Hammond Organs. You can get things to 'sound similar' but never replace the actual "playing experience". Analog Rules...!!!!!!

  • The closest I am currently is my Yamaha SY-2 (a charming monosynth from 1974) and the Arturia CS-80V on the computer. Not too close, but gives me a tiny inkling of what I could do with a real CS-80 (plus Noddy's videos too!)

  • This keyboard maybe old but it'll blow any modern synth into the weeds. Give me a vintage CS80 anyday.

  • your are a lucky man...

  • This sounds amazing. I have a CS10, love it :D and hope that one day, I'll be able to have one of these beasts :)

  • isn't that thing old?

  • Yep - very. They don't make 'em like that anymore..!

  • @Alvinwhatup3 It is made from 1976 to 1979

  • Best synth in the world.... and I've played it!

  • what an imposing machine

  • that is a really long release for a CS80...

  • yes it is,

it would have been useful for pads if the cs80 had longer release, I noticed the arturia gave plenty extra!!!
