  • I actually Learned :D thanks!

  • im lefty and using right handed guitar, seems hard to get a em,a,g,d sus4 :(

  • Incredibly easy to learn guitar tutorial website: guu.nn.cx

  • NICE VIDEO, I RECENTLY LEARNED TO PLAY GUITAR IN 2 DAYS WITH 2DAYGUITARCOURSE(DOT)INFO.

  • I just started tuning in on all your videos and you rock as a guitar music teacher, like i thought this was all complicated but you break it down to a tee bro :) thanks man i'm glad their are teachers out there that take the time to really break each lesson down and not stray the beginners i the wrong way. you have my eyes until i master this ;)

  • really very helpful... thanks a lllot... executing immediately....

  • Amazing guitar tips website: guu.nn.cx

  • Hey I'm trying out a guitar soon when you play a note how do u hold down the string and play without messing it up cause I'm getting a guitar soon

  • one of another many important lessons i learned today: "If you can say it, you can play it." simple but it keeps me going on forward.. :) thanks a bunch for the help

  • omg this is a killer!

  • heloy)

  • Is the first down a quarter note and the rest eighth notes? I notice a gap between the first down and the rest.

  • I am the worst strummer in the world. I can play fingerstyle guitar ok and do barre chords but I just can't learn to strum very good. errrrr.

  • i thank you friend

i buy a guitar to learn some music

    and your my tutor hehe..

  • This is a great lesson. I was searching for strumming techniques but was pleasantly surprised to have "embellishments" taught just through changing up a chord by adding or taking away a string. You make it seem so easy! I will definitely be following your channel. I also love that you have it written in tab form on the screen as well. Thanks!

  • you are the beast divd

  • Thats what she said!

  • what's goin on?! im the 666,666 viewer and the guy beofre me has written "what the hell?" ooh scary..

  • what the hell is Cadd9 ?! BEGINNER HERE:L

  • thank you very much =) it helps me a lot =D

  • Excellent thank you

  • fuck this i think I'll stick to guitar hero

  • idk if i'm a fucking retard or my guitar is so old that it lost all its tune. Its around 30 years old is that bad ?????

  • @SabGotSwag5 not really just gotta either tune it or get new strings

  • Hard to see where your fingers are though

  • thanks!! :) :D

  • You have no idea how thankful I am for this video. I have just started playing guitar in the past week or so and I had no idea how to strum. I asked my friends and they all said it is something you can't teach, that you have just have to figure it out yourself. Well I had no idea how to figure it out since I never played before, so I was just so close to giving up when I came upon this video, and let me tell you that I have never let down my guitar ever since.

  • thank you ,i am a beginner . just a tip , go slow, i still have to look down.. great job

  • thanx a lot...you rock!! \o/

  • hahah go Dirk Nowitzki! :)))

  • I've spent the entire day learning to switch between all of these chords, it's helped me a lot actually! But switching from the Em to the G was kinda hard... Kept having to stop, does that stop after practising or is there certain ways you switch?

  • those numbers and letters were very confusing..

  • @LastAmaranth I will try my best to explain it for you, I am horrible with explaining things...sorry. >< Reading from left to right the first number/letter stands for the bottom string. In guitar this is actually the string closest to your face. lol *the rest of my reply is on the next comment of mine, sorry too many characters* ^^;

  • @LastAmaranth As for the numbers and letters, the X means that you do NOT strum that string when you play. (it is not a note in the chord) The 0 stands for an open string, you still strum this, but you do not have a finger on the fret. As for the numbers it tells what fret number your finger needs to be on. I left it kind of vague, but if you want I can make a tutorial for you, that way I can better explain...just let me know. :) GOOD LUCK! :D

  • @GodsGraceAmazes ohh i get it now! thanks so much, that was very helpful :D

  • @LastAmaranth Your welcome! Any time. :)

  • This is extremely helpful! Thank you sooo much!!

  • the ONLY problem i have is finding out what the chords are, i mean i have the strumming part 100% down but i HAVE NO IDEA what the chords are, i cant see where your fingers are :l

  • @Pandza57 the basic cords are EADGBE or 6,5,4,2,3,1(up and down). An easy way to remember that is: Eddy Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddy

  • SCREW YOU DAVID T!!!! You've just played half a riff that I thought I'd made up. It's so annoying trying to create new sounds on the guitar and I've already heard parts of my riffs else where in other bands. It's so frustrating.

  • @TheLolthazun about all rifts and sounds have been made on the guitar, its about creatively using the sounds and rifts u know how to make, don't get frustrated because someone esle uses the same tools u do, enjoy and learn from the music they make and u make

  • Didn't know Dirk Nowitzki played guitar.

  • ur not playing what ur saying... ur ending with down and it says up and ur saying up lol

  • the throw ups in a row really did three me off!!

  • The Best!! :)

  • yees, I think, you're right. :) That's the best :)

  • cool

  • Question on strumming and pick placement: Is the angle of the pick against the strings changed on up and down strokes? It feels 'normal' to put a 15 degree or so tilt downwards on down strokes and upward on upstrokes. I am still feeling kind of a grabby sensation from the strings on those upstrokes; it's just not the fluid feel I get on the down strokes.

  • You and the rest of the instructers are FANTASTIC... Keep Strumming..ziggy

  • 17 informations in 8 minutes ..sounds nice!

  • u spent 8mins just for strumming pattern! waste of time.

  • These lessons are great. Do you tap your foot on every downstroke or coordinate your strumming with tapping at all? I'm asking because in my first lesson my guitar teacher stressed the importance of keeping a steady tap. Thanks,

    Nestea

  • he's good this guy; I watched one with him over 12 months ago. I need to work on my strum patterns......at the end there it sounded a bit like "Under The Milky Way Tonight"....aussie band The Church. (I may try this (pattern) with an open tuning.

  • Dude you taught me more useful stuff in a ten minute clip than I learnt from 6 months of guitar lessons. You are the man! Kudos from NZ

  • Excellent lesson, I appreciate you taking the time to write the strum pattern on the screen and to go beyond the call by adding the different ways in which this progression can be played. I am a beginner and as one I will thank you very much for making sure guitar knowledge doesn't go underground.

  • /facepalm.

my pick fell into my guitar. -.-

  • zombie?

  • this is the first time i've picked up a guitar and thanks to this video i think i'm actually getting the hang of this. it took me a while to figure out how to tune it though. i think i'll be okay once i figure out how to position my fingers to where they won't get in the way of the other strings.
