That police officer who was shouting in my face(though that part wasn't captured on video) was a veteran. I think that's wonderful. He mentioned how he fought for our rights such as freedom of speech. That's why i'm confused as to why he didn't seem to fully appreciate that right which we exercised so well that day.
@xnrbx Lugar didn't say shit. He was reading off a piece of paper with someone elses words and agenda on it. They said he was speaking about nukes. He wasn't . if you listened to him that day his speach was a left-wing anti-gun agenda. He calls himself a fucking republican but doesn't give a damn about the second amendment. Lugar is the fucker that actually got my right wing ass to vote for a flippin democrat
I'm glad Sen. Lugar is a classy individual and remained calm and collected throughout. Senator Lugar always takes time to listen to consitutents and the "occupiers" could have used some manners and spoken with him after the event. Instead, they ruined the forum for everyone involved.
And to "TheNova1960" - I saw Piers Morgan and read the transcript. Lugar never said he "backed" Romney. When asked who we thought the frontrunner of the GOP race was, he said Romney. That's not an endorsement.
Thanks for embarassing Indiana University and SPEA with your dumb protest. I don't care if you have 1st amendment on your side. That was completely classless and that event was not the forum to express your flawed opinions. Get off your lazy hippy asses and get jobs, or better yet move to another country.
Sincerely,
Honest, Productive, and Hard Working Citizens of the United States of America
Are you Mr. Lugar? Sounds like this protest really struck a nerve...why so angry?
Ok, so your opinion is that their opinions were "flawed," and your opinion is that it doesn't matter that their speech is protected by the constitution? How is that not flawed?
Most of those protesters have jobs and/or are students, many have multiple jobs, and they're not hippies. Why should they move? They're honest, productive, and hard working as well. "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."
@thieness Over 70% of the Occupiers have jobs, thank you very much.
We are attempting to make this country better, by making politicians hear our voices. Big companies and interests have the money to donate to make sure they are "heard". And this is not just a USA movement: We (of the world) disagree with the control of the economic and political elites. Their time is fading.

They aren't very good at doing a Mic Check. They need to practice it. They don't understand call and response.

Lugar was there talking about stopping terrorists from getting WMD. Do these people think that is a corporate interest? Crazy.

I love how the cops' default discussion point is: "I'm a veteran"
